I would like to add my kudos to the mods for allowing this thread to continue
And for allowing some serious elbow room
The issues we are having in the states are very political....and enough of a crisis that everyone in the civilized world has somewhat of a stake...big or small..
And everyone should be talking about what's going on
I think your doing a great job moderating...the only bans and deletes I'm seeing are ..well...warranted...
And we do veer way off here...but again I see the mods leaving posts that while off topic may create an interest for others to look into...
So fuck ya

Ancient history. That seems to be the go to defense or pivot point as of late. I see arguments being made that not only aren't relevant to this administration, they aren't relevant to this century!

1861-62!!! It's fukin outrageous.

the other day someone was saying that this presidency is different than all others because of the part that social media has played for one. Secondly, no president has had a TV channel committed to raising him up 24hrs a day. Thirdly, we've never had a foreign governent meddle with our elections.

Someone responded by calling bullshit. He said that John Adams and so on and so forth! The British infiltrated the election or something! Good lord!

JOHN ADAMS! I know nothing about it other than John Adams was our 2nd president, and that would mean a large percentage of Americans, probably most, over the age of 8 were themselves BRITISH at one point anyway! But really.... JOHN ADAMS!!! PLEASE!

Back to things that happened involving this presidency....

Yesterday it seems that Flynns lawyers said that he had notified Trumps transition team that he was a foreign agent.

He was hired anyway.

Pence was in charge of the transition team.

Flynn was fired for misinforming the Vice President?

Today Vice President. Pence registered for the 2020 election.

I'm not sure who's full of shit but it seems Pence isn't planning on running as Trumps 2nd in command next time.

It's been reported by a couple of news outlets that Trump has been contacting (messaging was the exact word used) Flynn. Say "stay strong"!

STAY STRONG? He's a fkn military General! Could it be that stay strong should be read.... "don't give up on me yet" "don't rat me out yet"? This IS complete speculation of course but what could be important enough to make Trump think it's a good idea to contact Flynn while he's under investigation?

Another thing I thought was interesting was a editorial piece that was put out by FoxNews. It was offering an opinion I had never heard from Fox. The writer was saying that maybe Trump never intended to keep this job for a full term? And maybe that's why he's in such a hurry to make some changes? He went on to say that Trump did have a great life before taking this job. And why would he want to spend anymore time than it takes to get the ball rolling! Maybe he wanted to hand it off to Pence all along? WTF!!!

of course that editorial was out before flynns people threw Pence under the bus. So who knows?

Seems the only thing we can be sure of is that things will never be the same again. The US as well as the world is in a pre-revolutionary and pre-war status. With jihadis jacked up on captagon murdering thousands in the mideast, and thousands if not millions in the US numbing their pain with opioids... it seems pointless to try and scapegoat cannabis users. That train has left the station. Time will tell...

I'm very interested to see how long this whole train stays on the rails, seems like it's getting the speed wobbles. (I'm referring to the thread as much as the current administration)

If we get nothing positive from this regarding cannabis it's been a very interesting study of the clash of mass manipulation, pop culture, social technology, politics and human emotions. I wonder how our children and their children will all look back on this in the future.

It all makes me feel pretty justified about moving to the bottom of the world.

Tudo is correct in that neither Lincoln nor the Republican party called for the elimination of slavery. Lincoln did not want war and was willing to let the south keep their odious institution. Crusader is also correct that, not just Texas, but the other seceding states made the supposed threat to slavery the issue in their articles of secession. I first realized this many years ago when I read the South Carolina article, the first state to go, which offers slavery as the only reason. The Texas articles more clearly state the deeper reason which was who shall control the west, a region just opening up and brimming with resources. The emancipation proclamation came considerably later than the events Tudo reports correctly and for different reasons.

Reading last couple pages thinking about Kent State massacre that was a State action not fed as it involved State National Guard. So, a State can and is willing to shoot at you just as the Feds. State powers in the Administration is already in play

In the health care debate medicare issues came up. Now the Feds are paying out medicare $ but this could end up with medicare payments falling onto the States to pay.

What is really great for all of us, concerning cannabis, is the announcement of the special prosecutor to investigate the Trump campaign & administration. The fact that the White House was not even informed of this prior to the public announcement is a very strong indication of probable criminal indictments. Getting rid of the liar in chief & Sessions would benefit everyone.
How could anybody not have, at the very minimum, huge doubts about Trump - he has continually & constantly lied throughout his campaign & presidency and made the most idiotic tweets even imaginable. Only blind partisan loyalty has stopped criticism from everybody.
I notice the nearby "Make America great again" signs around here have all but disappeared.
Resigning or being impeached/indicted would be the only way Trump would improve anything. The sooner, the better for all.

or SCOTUS will be kind to the kind?

The court is a very large problem in this sea of uncertainty

hey BT getting tRump & Sessions gone would be a great start for all of us regarding cannabis.
Not a fan of Pence but tRump is just absolutely beyond incapable of being the President of the USA, tRump is dangerous to the entire World.
Good day to you, have a great weekend !

^^^ You surely don't think Mike Pence will be a better alternative for cannabis support.

so here's a an excursion into the whatif twilight zone

Pence is president, got to have been a political apocalypse leading to that point
Pence won't have much in the presidential balls department, he'll be weak for a long time, probably never strong
in which case i'm thinking he won't be able to do much at all
and the status quo in state's cannabis continues to grow, i'd be good with that
not a future vision that i much like on the whole though

I agree completely... just thought there was some hint that Pence would be kinder to cannabis which, IMHO, is highly unlikely.

Not sure what I said to lead you to that conclusion. Or if your assuming because I referred to as racist(among other things) after your intelligence defying post including injuns...
I'm good ole America mutt...french on one side Swede and Dutch on other
But I did have elders who taught me stuff...like what it meant to be an American.
I'm willing to engage w you but you've already cemented my view of you. And it won't change.

Couldn't reply until now, was busy working hard in the emerald triangle. I've spent enough time here to know all the inner workings of what I'm talking about. I've been to 1000's of gardens and talked to 100's of native people and others from all over the world.
This is the epicenter of pot politics and I'm simply relating what I have learned to the topic at hand. The social/psychology and political reasoning i have developed from my studies here is what has formed my opinions.
I have a truly unique perspective because I took the time and energy to do years of research both voluntary and involuntary.
Might I ask you what are your thoughts on the "state of Jefferson"? As they believe themselves to be an authority on the politics of my part of the world, I have studied them extensively.

Heres what I am talking about

"The Supreme Court holds the power to interpret laws and declare them unconstitutional under the principle of judicial review. While Congress doesn't technically have the power to overrule a Supreme Court decision, it can take actions to lessen, or even negate, the effect of a court ruling. Congress can thereby render the court's interpretation obsolete, either by passing a new law or amending the old law to better achieve its original intent."

Some senaters answered a few question as they left the confidential briefing today and a couple said that the FBI investigation is expanding to include aspects other than Russia's interference and will include whatever the evidence allows. It's a broad investigation and the phrase "criminal indictments" was used.

They also mostly said that congress needs to still conduct their oversite investigations.

Comeys invitation to testify in a public hearing is still open and they hope to get him in there by the end of next week.

Meanwhile Trumps on his way to NATO meeting or someshit. Everyone was told to keep it short and use bright graphics or Trump may start tweeting durring their presentations! They are to come with deals that Trump can call a WIN and not to expect Trump to know the history of their countries.

If it true, they might as well have requested all presentations be made using puppets.

SG - 1000's of gardens? THOUSANDS!

100's of "Natives"? talked to you? Individually? what tribe? I take it this was on a Rez? They just opened up to you, a self described "European" about subjects that they wouldn't discuss in English, even amongst themselves, and would not be readily shared with outsiders.

State of Jefferson? you studied the subject! You gotta leave some room for common sense kid.

Your one Mexican friend said California is occupied territory too.

Hope you not too busy working in the "Emerald Triangle" to answer my post.

Actually...... don't bother.
