Palmer Report? Next I expect a retort from Infowars lol

Trump has the stench of a wounded animal. His disintegration is reported on every media outlet in the world. Including stuff you're into like storm front news and struggleville press.

Next, I expect you will correct your typo/misused word. Witless sarcasm doesn't need any more cringe factor.

EXCLUSIVE
House Majority Leader McCarthy told colleagues in 2016: ‘I think Putin pays’ Trump
Kevin McCarthy made the politically explosive assertion in a private conversation on Capitol Hill in June 2016 with his fellow GOP leaders. House Speaker Paul D. Ryan interjected and stopped the conversation from exploring McCarthy’s assertion, saying: “No leaks. ... This is how we know we’re a real family here.

If I'm not mistaken subrob, you are a native American? Certainly your elders can tell you stories of the wind talkers?

.
Not sure what I said to lead you to that conclusion. Or if your assuming because I referred to as racist(among other things) after your intelligence defying post including injuns...
I'm good ole America mutt...french on one side Swede and Dutch on other
But I did have elders who taught me stuff...like what it meant to be an American.
I'm willing to engage w you but you've already cemented my view of you. And it won't change.

I think VTA may be right here. I could of sworn I saw The Palmer report on a big list of fake news sites for both sides to stay away from. I forget the source. Not going to get into it, too lazy, but I am impressed with how smart you guys here are...listenin and learnin:)

seems this thread has now become a trump bashing thread rather then any relationship of his presidency to cannabis, so i don't really see any way to fix it. it's way off topic.

have my doubts about trump, but this media feeding frenzy that i'm seeing right now about things that make no sense makes me suspicious. when ever both sides and the msm agree and push one narrative my hackles go up.

By the tone of your posts and your ham fisted 'moderation' I assumed you were a trump supporter. It also explains why your "hackles are up"

You have 'doubts' about Trump? There is no doubt that he is a liar, or that he's been a failure thus far. No one can doubt that his handling of matters has hobbled the GOP and eroded relationships around the world. He's been bad for the environment. He rouses his base with nonsense that creates a fog of mistrust and anger.

What "makes no sense"? The bankrupted casino owner who was elected potus, gained political currency by claiming obama was a kenyan, boasted about grabbing pussy as a 60 year old, who imagines that "when your famous you can do whatever you want", whose child like lies are well known and documented and who is now under investigation by house, senate, fbi and special council is getting all the media attention he deserves.

Trump threatens to defy Congress to go after medical marijuana

Congress moved to protect medical marijuana by including in its stop-gap federal spending bill a provision barring the Justice Department from using federal funds to go after the drug in states where medical marijuana is legal, but now, President Trump says that doesn’t matter.
Even though Trump signed the spending bill into law last Friday, he included a signing statement objecting to numerous provisions in the bill—including the ban on funds to block the implementation of medical marijuana laws in those states.
Despite those state laws, marijuana remains illegal under federal law, which also does not recognize “medical marijuana.”
The president said he reserved the right to ignore that provision and left open the possibility the Trump administration could go after the 29 states, the District of Columbia, and the territories of Guam and Puerto Rico where medical marijuana use is allowed.

The lot of them are going to be too busy doing the CYA thing to go after Cannabis. Sessions stuck his nose in the Comey firing, after recusing himself from the Russia thing. He's going to be a little busy.

Until we see some actual deeds, I'm thinking this is all just talk to satisfy the base.

I still believe as more and more states enact some sort of legalization it gets tougher and tougher for the Feds to stand by the statute of the Federal law concerning MJ, at least in a realistic way. There already have been many comments from State authorities saying they will challenge the Federal gov’t if they meddle with State laws. Hell, right now, the current Administration is having enough trouble managing their own affairs.

And I also believe the earlier statements by the Administration concerning MJ were issued as a warning or deterrent for additional States considering efforts to legalize.

I agree with WelderDan…with what’s going on with this Administration right now, they have too many other concerns.

mr sessions plate should be full
but does that mean he can't be a prick? maybe not
a stroke of the pen and he can have some underling undertake an assault
but as mentioned, the signs aren't currently there
and there is another potential slap to the federal face
Vermont's legislature has passed legal recreational cannabis, just for home growing at the moment
now if the governor signs it, i'd say the glove has been thrown down

Like I said before, (paraphrasing here) keep your head down and your guard up. We have a long fight ahead, because Sessions isn't the only drug warrior in a position of power. We've made a lot of gains, and the pendulum is slowly swinging our way, but we can't get complacent. And fighting amongst ourselves doesn't help. I get caught up in it too, I can't deny that. But we are better than that, and we have to be, or we just defeat ourselves.

very well said.

IMO these threads may present problems, stemming from ones difference of viewpoints. yet at the same time it shows we all love our country immensely and were not afraid to show it no matter what. if everyone was silent about what is happening then i think the problem would be even larger.
