hold on, now, hold on...I'M a registered Republican! well, i am still registered as such, but have not voted for The Chump nor the dimwit in chief here in Tennessee (Bill Lee) . i need to go and change my registration to Independent...there ARE still a few GOP i could vote for without having the urge to hang myself afterward...none of them are here in Tennessee though...

He's so self-centered that he assumes everyone is expected to lie, cheat, and steal.

i'm not -positive- whose minions you are referring to (The Chump or Lee), so i'll get this out there...i have not voted for a GOP candidate in any federal or state wide election here since around 2008 or thereabouts.

it's not hard to believe that he has people that would kill for him. my question is....are they willing to DIE for him in large enough numbers to have a chance to succeed ? i think not, myself.

Yeah I know, but I was trying to come up with something other then what they used in the appeals court. Plus I recently rewatched Labyrinth and really wanted to find a way to use Obliette in a sentence.
The problem I suspect, based on many interviews I've heard done trying to get inside the heads of Trump supporters, is that many of them before Trump were lonely, isolated, angry people. Now with Trump and his MAGA minions all those lonely people have found their tribe and can now be one big happy but angry group. Now they're starting to realize that Trump is just batshit crazy but they don't want to acknowledge it for fear the group will turn on them nor do they want to give up this sense of belonging and return to their old life of isolation and loneliness.
Then there are those like in that video of the Truckers who went to the border that are just grifting off of everything or making bank selling hats, shirts, flags, etc at events. They act like they're part of it but they aren't really they're just in it for the money.

I've gotten into the habit of using Trump's own words against the cult followers. Seems to shut them down very fast.
the first sentence pretty well describes the GOP candidate for POTUS.
the second one is spot-on as well. but i can understand how that could easily be true. much more satisfying to be part of something, even if that makes you a member of a "team"/mob...several have traded isolated loneliness for a period of togetherness with birds of a feather in federal prisons.
i wonder how many are working on "mein kampf" 2.0...
