Yeah, sorry, no absolute immunity for you Trump. Although according to reports from people claiming to have sources inside Trump's campaign they were totally expecting that ruling, the part that really got them off guard and pissed them of was the appeals court only giving them 5 days to file with the SCOTUS otherwise it would go back to the original DC court and get the DC case rolling again. Which just goes to show you that all this political drama is about delay, delay, delay.

What worries me though is delay, delay, delay, is all about postponing convictions until after elections because of the belief Trump will win and he can then pardon himself and halt all the Federal cases. Which makes me wonder, do they have som new devilish plot to steal the election or are they just that delusional to think Trump will win legitimately wth just his base which at best only represents about 33% of all voters?

What I'm hearing is that if the SCOTUS is the impartial body it is supposed to be they won't even hear it and send it back to the lower court. Some however seem to be concerned that they might do their best to help Trump by agreeing to hear it but slow walk it until October and then rule against Trump which will give Trump all the delay he needs. Nobody I've heard thinks there is a chance in hell SCOTUS will rule in Trump's favor on the actual issue.

I heard a report last night talking about the appeals court ruling against absolute immunity for the President and of course the report mentioned Trump's respnse on his Social Media site Truth Social where he was saying that if the courts took away absolute immunity it would destroy the government and no President would get anything done for fear of being prosecuted, yadda, yadda, yadda. It occured to me that s any of that was true and absolute immunity was actually a thing. Then it proves that Tump os not being wrongly attacked/prosecuted by the Biden administration, and therefore proves absolute immunity is just a figment of Trump's imagination. Because if it were true and President's did have absolute immunity then rather going thru all these legal battles with no guarentee it would stop Trump, Biden could simply just have Trump tossed in an Oubliette and throw away the key.
