I won't have much hope for the future until most of those currently in Congress have either retired, died of old age or been voted out, and then just for good measure term limits have been imposed. Unfortunately, I probably won't be around by the time all that comes to pass.

Well 'm disappointed to say that Judge Engoron didn't keep his promise to give his final verdict on the Trump Business Fraud case by the end of January like he said previously. It's really frustrating the way that all the courts so far are taking much longer then should be necessary to deliver their rulings. Another one that is late is the Appeals Court that heard the arguments for Trump's claim of unlimited Presidential Immunity, nearly 3 weeks ago. There is really no valid reason I've heard aaanyone give as to why things are moving so slow. It's still expected that both courts will rule in a way against Trump but the longer they take the more it just plays into Trump's true goal of delay, delay, delay. The Engoron case is particularly annoying because it won't have much impact on any other case, just on Trump's finacial/businus status. The one thing hopeful that might explain Engoron's delay is that in the past few days the court appointed monitor to Trump's financial records has issued a report to the court of new evidence of Business fraud not covered in the trial. Most noteably a Trump owned business where Trump has issued a $50 Million loan to himself in what looks a lot like a fraud known as debt parking typically used to pay less taxes on income. Anyway the word now id that the Judge will give his ruling sometime between now and Feb. 5th.
Okay and now for something completely different. I don't usually do this but I recently saw a movie I enjoyed very much called The Beekeeper starring Jason Stathom. If you like high action butt kicking films then this is one for you. The only bad thing about it was the ending was kind of meh.

if Engoron held to his schedule, The Chumps lawyers would screech about him "rushing" to judgement. the judge wants this to play out without giving Chumply appeal points, and i don't blame him.

I think there is judicial review of Judge Engoron's case causing a delay.

They wouldn't know good disgruntled if it smacked them upside the head. They really go for the Rocky Mountain Oysters down there. They don't know what they're missing.
Have a good weekend everyone get plenty of rest, next week should be quite busy and exciting with the Engoron ruling, perhaps the DC Appeals court ruling on Trump's claim of unlimited Presidential Immunity and I believe on the 8th is when SCOTUS starts hearing oral arguments on whether or not the 14th Amendment Section 3 applies to Trump, we'll all need to be on Trump Stroke Watch depending on how these things go.
