makes sense if Donald is simply lyingI would say that it definitely does that since he's stating that she was never his attorney. I mean how can there be attorney- client priviledge if someone was never your attorney to begin with? I'm really not sure where the truth is on this one either since I've heard several news outlets claim she was his attorney when they reported this story. To further confuse the issue I saw another report whch has Powell's own attornies supporting this claim by saying there was no paperwork ever signed to make powell, Trump's legal attorny to begin with. If that's true then this would appear to be one of those rare moments where Trump was actually telling the truth, go figure.

Well like I said, her lawyers said he never signed the documents making her his attorney, according to the report i saw stating that. So it sounds like he came close to making her his lawyer at some pointbut never actually made it official. So if that's the case then she was not his lawyer and he was speaking truthfully. Although even if she was his lawyer the crime/fraud exception woul nullify any client-attorney privilege they had.
Well if Rudy Colludie didn't feel the urgency to strike up a deal before he should really be rethinking that now that Jenna Ellis has made a deal and plead guilty. pretty much everything jenna was being charged with was in connection with Rudy so her main value to the prosecution would be to nail Rudy's case closed. Rudy however would now be in the best position possible to strike up a deal in order to do the same to Trump that Jenna appears to be doing to him. Since Trump is the highest value target and Rudy was by his side pretty much from start to finish i'm think he could get a very sweet deal if he gives up all the goods he has on Trump. of course Rudy doesn't seem to be terribly bright and he has this quaint notion (however misplaced it may be) of remaining loyal to Trump. I saw misplaced because Trump is showing no loyalty to Rudy and has pretty much hung him out to dry putting him in a very bad place and needing very expensive lawyers he can't afford and that Trump isn't helping him with. If he had the common sense God gave to rocks he would try to make that deal. Then again so far Rudy has proven to be dumber then a box of rocks, so....

What happens when Trump is in pure panic mode is anyone's guess but I suspect he will start spilling the dirt on every person he knows. I think Trump learned a lot about how to control compromised people from his friendship with Epstein and i believe Trump has dirt on many people in both political parties, academia & corporate america and he will tell all to save his orange pumpkin ass.

I'm still trying to figure out the Republican Party. Four Key inner circle lawyers have taken a plea. The guy has 94 felony charges, and it is still impossible to elect a speaker because most of the nominees are still election deniers and refuse to renounce Chump. Does Chump have video of these people doing something seriously bad?
I bet Trump has something on all these Republican's who refuse to speak out against him.....i dont think they do it only out of fear of a violent MAGA base turning on them.
how sad is it that republican's and their media outlets are quiet on death threats to Republicans who voted against Gym Sock Jordan. Proof that they like and encourage violence from the MAGA base.

Trump did have the Facebook Cambridge Analytica data and used it to win. Maybe there was some crap in there that he could exploit. Republicans are hanging in there to the point where they are obviously over the line. Now, Meadows is cooperating and It looks to me that the dam has to give way at some point here.
That's exactly what it is. When he commands at least half of the registered GOP voters, that's 30-35 million die hards who are Trump or Nobody. They cannot afford to be primaried by someone more faithful to Trump.
The only GOP who can do anything resembling bipartisanship are going to be in Red districts Biden won in 2020.
This whole thing really wasn't/isn't all that complicated. It all started with the pandemic creating a scenario thatgot states to make mail in ballot and easy access drop off boxes an option to allow voters to vote without fear of exposure to the pandemic. This essentially undid all the efforts thru gerrymandering and such that certain republican states put in place to make voting more difficult. Trump knew well in advance that this would work against him because Democrats have a proven track record of early voting and mail in voting while Republican have a track record of prefering to turn out on eection day. Trump understood well in advance that these things would create a situation that could be made to look like fraud since the turn out votes would be counted first making Trump look like he had and amazing win but then it would begin to come undone over night as they began counting the early mail in votes. That's why there was recorded evidence of Roger Stone and Steve Bannon talking before election night how Trump would claim he won by the end of the night which is exactly what Trump claimed at the end of the night. They also knew in advance that the early mail in votes that were collected would not be counted until after the polls were closed and that they would be stored in boxes and bins until they were counted which is why they started crafting stories of fake ballots in suitcases being pulled out during the night after the polls closed. All of this was pretty much covered in the media before election day and so anyone paying close attention to election news was not at all surprised when these claims of fraud started surfacing. I know I wasn't, because Trump and his campaign pretty much telegraphed all of it.
So at this rate one of two things will happen. 5 repubs will "cross the aisle" and vote Present to give Hakeem Jeffries the gavel. Or, the House will remain as it is until 2025 and the Senate will do whatever is necessary to keep the lights on and that's it.
