It's not so much the states that matter as it is the district. You can have a representative in a state that's considered a republican state and yet the district he or she represents might have voted for predominantly for Biden, marking that district as being primarily democratic even though the state is considered republican. In that scenario the representative might want to vote for someone other then Jordan just so the democrats in that district can't use a vote for Jordan against him as a way of trying to vote that representative out and a democrat in.Not really. They were holdouts on Jordan refusing to vote for him. Semantics maybe. That was the vote. In fact they voted for McCarthy and Scalise mostly instead of Jordan. Not really Biden leaning as you say. The number of no Jorda votes did increase by two on the second round.
Now if Sidney Powell implicates Jordan in the case with Jack Smith, Jordan will be toast as soon as the cat is out of the bag. Where she made a deal in Georgia, she seems compelled to make deals in the other cases.
Holdouts.

Anyway, since you posted that there's been more developments that give us more insight ass to why they didn't vote for Jordan. Turns out Jordan is considered a trouble maker to the point of some labeling him as a legislative terrorist and as such he's not well liked even in his own caucus. Also it turns out that a number of them didn't appreciate Jordon and Sean Hannity going around trying to bully them to vote for Jordon with threats to them and others didn't appreciate their wives or family being threatened to try to get them to vote for Jordan. The bulk of them though, from what I heard reported just don't like Jordan, never did and never will. Which is not too surprising given that he's been in congress for 16 years and not once put forth any legislation or done anything to advance the republican party in any positive wsay. Supposedly they're doing a third vote today and hopefully Jordan will get even fewer votes then he did in either of the two previous votes. After that maybe Gym will see the light and drop from running for the speakership? Then again he's MAGA, so not know for being terribly intelligent.
