a new "dark age" ? they would like to, yes. but you can't put the genie back in the bottle...nor take an entire society backwards. they might "hold the line" where it is for a few years, but progress, as always, WILL move onward. progress is an "unstoppable force" but the GOP is NOT an immovable object whether they realize it ir not. when the pressure gets to a certain point, they will break, and badly. it won't end well for them.
