We about to see a national emergency declared ?

every time that the 2 year old in the White House does not get his way, it becomes an "emergency". idiots that really think that we can build a wall along the border have obviously never seen the terrain there. plus, the people that own land there are gearing up for a court battle to stop it. the Chinese built a wall, a YUGE one (lol). theirs was thousands of miles long & had lookouts & troops posted. it did not work there either. man cannot build something that man cannot figure out how to get around. :tiphat:

I saw a youtube channel where some 'expert' body language reader is constantly pointing out other people as liars and phony's and then praises Drumpf as an alpha male
Some people are truly hypnotized or something....
I am not mad at those folks, i am just saddened and more than a little shocked that there are truly so many people who can't see right through his dribble.

shocked? i'm not. look at how ignorant and uneducated the average voter is. then, you have to realize that HALF of the voters are even more uneducated & ignorant than the AVERAGE voter. that is how/why we are in this clusterfuck today...:comfort:

I suppose.... i'm not so shocked that he won the election, he IS a professional conman, but i'm shocked that people still can't see through his sh*t with how much they see of him on TV, now that he is president.

I guess i sort of expected people to say 'hang on a minute....' after his endless bullsh*t just kept coming.
I thought people would catch on, but i may have expected too much. :frown:

I don't think it's going to end well for him, regardless....

kids with world experience at 6yrs is kinda worrying. and kinda sad.

Seeing so many adults running around without world experience, to me, is just as sad.

I'm not sure about your comments about people born after 1984..

Me neither. It's just a passing observation. It sure does seem to me like the era of great young american artist has passed.. Seeing more and more foreigners take the main stage with art and music. And why not, when Americans value the arts and sciences less every day in favor of social media and daytime television?

if anything the general population are probably more ignorant and uneducated as you go further back in time rather than forwards.

By that logic though, a more technologically advanced nation should be more educated and less ignorant that a less developed nation. That looks good on paper, but it doesn't exactly hold water when you take a look at our literacy rates or our state of mental and physical well-being as a whole.

Money only gets you so far without values.

I would say that the US definitely needs a system of aqueducts & reservoirs, to capture water from flooded areas & move it to areas in drought.

e.g. during the hurricanes in Texas about 2 years ago, Texas had massive rain, and California was still in a drought.

I think of the $5 Billion for a "wall" as a part of the funding for aqueducts that the US needs.

An aqueduct to move the flood water from Texas to New Mexico or Arizona or California - positioned right on the border.

Most people believe in UFOs and Aliens. Bona fide scientists too. So it doesn't surprise me that the uneducated and ignorant believe Trump is a genius.

Think you are very much on to something with respect to values.
Not sure to what extent most are aware that our educational system
was deliberately degraded with specific intent of making graduates
more 'controllable'.
Which is the reason that less educated people now graduate with massive debit from the same institutions their parents attended for all but nothing.

aw, those morons voted for him simply because he aint hillary. most of them. the religious loons held their noses & picked him because he promised to put in anti-abortion judges. everyone i know is against abortion; the intelligent ones know it has been around for hundreds of years & is not going away. it is an unpleasant truth that -sometimes- abortion is what is needed. might as well make it safe. the religious right/evangelists that backed him will eat bitter fruit for compromising their core beliefs for temporary political advantage. we are not going back to Ozzie & Harriet, where Mom sits at home & cares for the kids & the parents sleep in pajamas in separate beds.:tiphat: end well? if he is lucky, he MIGHT not go to jail. but lots of folks think he should be in jail for what he did years before he ran for office...:dance013:

Go to a small town in the South if you want the picket fences and everyone helping each other maybe like Slidel Louisiana then when you want to have fun go to New Orleans, just dont go on mardi gras. It gets way to packed imo

Most cities do especially in the south . Every city I've ever lived in has had some horrible events take place especially around the civil war, during reconstruction, and the civil rights era. But it doesnt negate that the city can be a beautiful place with kind people and a loving welcoming culture.

If it's not trump, it's someone else. There's too much money and power in the presidency, when it's supposed to be in the people.

President Jimmy Carter: The United States is an Oligarchy

Trump and his "drain the swamp" anti-establishment bullshit is why he was elected, not his self proclaimed genius. The next election

Duh.... no one said he wasn't good at ANYTHING, he's a conman it's what he did his whole life, that's what he's good at.
He bullsh*tted his way into the presidency, that's quite an achievement....
