Top 44 from seed

bunch of pics

bunch of pics

I got a good bit done today. I transplanted the 3 confirmed females to nice big pots. Not sure exactly how many gallons they hold, but they will be plenty bit for me to flower in. Hopefully...

I finally have my temps under control. Plus, tomorrow Im adding a cooler, so hopefully I can get them down in the 70s that would be cool. I relocated the 400w ballast, and hooked up the cooltube. Even though its not hooked up perfectly at the moment, it still dropped my temps by 4-5 degrees. I still need to hook it up to its own blower, right now its also exhausting the room. Its cool because my temps are fine, so Im not to worried.

Now for the pics...

^^ the male that Im keeping alive because Im a nice guy :D My dad was helping me, and he leaned over on it. As you can see, the top is all bent out of wack. No biggie, by tomorrow it should be back to normal, and if not, he is going to die in the end anyway, so no biggie.

Now, a question.

Im going to be starting 12/12 shortly, but I have a question. I know that this strain likes to grow a single cola. That is what I want it to do. My question is, should I prune at all before I go to 12/12, or will they naturally grow a single cola? Im not talking about trimming fan leaves, Im talking about the branching that people refer to as budsites I believe. If you dont' know what Im talking about, please LMK. Ive done decent up to this point IMO, and I don't want to mess up now.

Thats all for now. Don't everyone rush to reply at once now :D

Stay safe

thanks for taking a look MGJ.

I have high hopes for this harvest. I think its going to exceed the expectations I had in my head. I just can't wait to see how big the cola on the largest plant is, hehe. I love BIG buds.

Dude..

Dude..

IM back, my ladies are doing great, but i missed them, and thought that they would be okay...They are doing just great..You tell me when to trip the trigger, they are all ready, all two of them, but gaining size, i ended up doing a semi low stress training thing on the Lifesaver lady, and the growth from underneath is killer. Anyway, not to highjack your thread...Nice pics, ill have to get a couple new ones this weekend, see if i can borrow it for one more weekend. I am totally stoked man, my Fox Farms Tiger Bloom, and more soil showed up, so apparently i have what is needed to make them more beautiful in their growth.

pay no attention to the man in the yellow pants...

good to see ya

good to see ya

Are you thinking one of the plants might overgrow the space? Because if thats an issue then we can start 12/12 monday. If not, Id like to let them go till the 15th, just because its easy to remember, and it would give my plants almost a week to shake off the transplant shock and get a nice root system started into the new pots.

I must admit, I am getting quite anxious though :D I can already tell this is going to be a very difficult next 50-60 days

Yeah..

Yeah..

Then, the 15th it is, i can wait, and i do not believe that they will overgrow their space. Mine will have had time to root in their pots, and like you said, the 15th is easy to remember, then only 6-7 weeks till victory. I figure that i have waited almost six weeks for them to mature, i can wait six or seven weeks till they are ready to SMOKE. Im with you man..Wednesday it will be then. Im stoked and sorry i missed you in the chat, but i just couldnt stay up any later. I was starting to hallucinate from tiredness..Hopin for the best in your Top 44 grow, and will those MTF's be ready by Wednesday?

sounds good

sounds good

the 15th it is. Its like you say, my plants are 2 months old today, and if I waited this long already, what is another 7 weeks.

I actually ended up going to sleep to, I know what you mean about hallucinating from staying up to long. After about 30 hours it happens to me. I always notice it when Im driving, which is about when I realize that I shoudln't be driving, hehe.

Thanks for the good luck, and right back at ya, although I dont' think either of us will need it. The experience Ive gained in the last 2 months is invaluable. Flowering should be cake, Im hoping anyway.

Not a chance the MTFs will be ready, theyre only 2-3" tall, wouldn't get much smoke off those, hehe. I actually plan to veg the MTFs for the entire time these are flowering, Im thinking they should be nice and large by that time, and maybe Ill pull out the 1000wer to flower them under....just a thought at the moment.

I got a VERY VERY good start on setting up the room for flowering, I worked in there for 2 hours today, and I probably have another half hour or so of work, but like I have said in the past, Im lazy, so I took a brake. Then I said fuck it and put the plants in there how it is, Ill have to finish it up on tuesday, since I have alot of free time on tuesdays. Pics of the renovated closet to come...

I think I found the problem...

I think I found the problem...

Throughout my short growing career, slow, stunted growth has been a big issue. At first I tried to blame it on genetics, but now, with my MTF seedlings growing just as slow as ALL my seedling have, I decided the problem lied within the grower.

My seedlings are nearly 20 days old and still not CLOSE to rootbound in 16oz cups. They are starting on their 3rd set of leaves after the dummies. WAY TO SLOW MAN. The uniform yellowing of the lowest leaves, tells me I am starving these poor babies. So today I gave them a nice little feeding, per 1gallon 3/4 a cap of superthrive, .5 a tsp of micro and bloom. Also, for the first time, PH ADJUSTED SOLUTION :D

After PH testing my tap water to find a reading of close to 8  it all became very clear. Even if there is food in that light warrior (foxfarms) soil (doubtful), a good chunk of the elements are being locked out anyway because of that insanely horrid tap water. From now on all waterings will be ph adjusted to 6-6.5 and include ferts. Ill continue this until I see signs of nute burn. I feel bad for my poor babies, Im like a father who gambles all their cash away instead of supporting his kids :( Makes me sad that Ive put them through such a stuggle just to survive.

Watch out though, these things are going to take off now, I can feel it. Im just glad I got (hopefully) things sorted out before I started 12/12 on the first grow. These plants have been pretty starved throughout their lifetime, so hopefully they really kick into high gear when the food is plentiful. Just in time for flowering :d

Oh, and dont' worry, Ill ease them into it. Cant' go from one extreme to the other, that wouldnt' be nice. That would be like force feeding someone with an eating disorder, its just not right :D

Stay tuned, I have a good feeling about this.

oh and dont go overboard on the feeding of those little ones.
give them one feeding of PHed nutes and give them a couple days to see how they respond. as small as they are they wont have much of a tolerance for overferting.
too little is better than too much.

thanks beans

thanks beans

Especially in soil, I have to be careful not to get to many nutes in the soil. Don't want to kill the babies, that would be horrid  Im not sure if I fed to much or just right or whatever. I guess we'll find out huh? :D

thanks for watchin

what was the strength of the nutes you added.
generally with seedlings that young you should start at about 1/4 strength.

Great news

Great news

My 2 remaining clones had roots when I checke today :D These clones where abused too. Just got 2 cuts from the other plant going, so I should end up with 2 clones of each. Im equal opprotunity, what can I say :D

Beans, the blood/bone meal are 12 0 0 and 6 12 0 . The nutes are just standard gh nutes. Per gallon, I mixed 3/4 a cap of superthrive, .5 a tsp of micro and the same of bloom.

In an 8in x 8in pot I added 2 tsp of both blood and bone. Then I filled a smaller pot from that. A bit strong?

Plants got one or the other, not both.

Oh yeah, my clones got a pinch of both bone and blood meal, and some superthrive in their drink. They are so small, maybe 3 inches if that. Amazing they rooted. I wonder if my new clones will root faster, they are much larger...

Gonna flower the clones at 12". Hopefully I can get these suckers to grow with some vigor

Thanks for the help beans, much appriciated. Im off to get a sack, of some supposedly real good stuff, we'll see  If I like it Ill take a pic for yas.

Today was a good day, lots of good things happened today :) Got an A on my exam too, gotta love that :D

Peace

well, I just typed up a nice post, about starting 12/12 today, and some other things, but the system didnt' like it (still bugged a bit from yesterday maybe  ). So unfortunately (maybe not :) ), I have things to do and I will keep this short and to the point.

12/12 started today. I plan to update every 2 days or less, and take pics at least twice a week from this point on. I don't see any reason why this won't happen the majority of the time.

Its finally here. Some of you probably thought you would never see the day....GOG is flowering his first grow :D Exciting times in my life right now, I think I picked a very good time to start this wonderful little hobby that we all love, enjoy, and for some, cherish so dearyly.

Updates to come....

I can only imagine...

I can only imagine...

I can tell how they would be very similar. During this week/2 weeks Ill be sitting here wondering when the hell my plants are going to start making some bud. Then, like you said, in about 40-45 days Im gonna be sitting here wondering when the hell my plants are going to finish. Its just a vicious, vicious cycle :D

Its gonna be fun. I hope they start to bud quick, since this is a quick finishing strain :)

thanks for checking out the grow. Its been a struggle....but we're getting there :)

so my timer has not worked ONE time since I started 12/12. Piece of garbage  Got a new one, hopefully it works.

Ill keep ya updated. lights are off right now, the true test will come in a few hours, when the timer is supposed to make them come back on.....will it work......nobody knows

who woulda thought the toughest part for me would be getting a stupid timer that actually functioned the way it was supposed to
