It's my personal opinion that there were several people/groups that grew these sativa blends, and even though they were called haze they were not necessarily related to each other...
Sam/Haze brothers was santa Cruz haze, ot1haze was San Fernando haze (I never remember the exact name of this one)...

Oldtimer Haze is so different from anything else that it should be classified as its own thing.

The two samples @dubi submitted to Phylos are the ones most related to Ma Dang's samples of Colombian Gold.

En mi opinión personal, hubo varias personas/grupos que cultivaron estas mezclas de sativas, y aunque se llamaban Haze, no estaban necesariamente relacionadas entre sí...
Los hermanos Sam/Haze eran Santa Cruz Haze, ot1haze era San Fernando Haze (nunca recuerdo el nombre exacto de este)...

Así es, mucha gente cultivaba mezclas de sativas y lo llamarían Haze porque era similar o igual. Lo que pasa es que la Haze de Sam es la que se llevó la fama. Ya lo dijo Shantibaba había mucha gente en paralelo con plantas que nada tenían que envidiar a la Haze Original.

Nevil haze is basically a hybrid(Nl5 x haze) x haze) some rare pheno are psychedelic etc but it remains a hybrid;

Ot1haze is a different thing, there are many schools of thought here, however it comes from another area of California, it is not related to Sam's and is more wild / jungle, and requires a little more effort to be grown;

Tom Hill Haze comes from the most Thai dom of the group, it is the only one that still has the purple pheno, it comes from the positronic stock and therefore from Sam;

Tfd /seedsman all come from Sam's stock, obviously each seedbank /breeder has selected it differently, more towards the Colombian side...

There are many lines of thought, and everyone has their own preferences, being a THH thread here that is appreciated more, however apart from ot1haze, the others come from Sam /haze brothers...

Havent found any OHxSk#1 seeds anywhere. Even asked Sam. All we have is unlabeled bags of seeds, THH and OHxSk#1 crosses and such.

So it appears like Oldtimer's stock was from the time before Sam hybridized the three landraces/heirlooms gathered from around Colombia. Their point of divergence was in the seventies, perhaps.

I thought I read that he had passed away. He gave the seeds to Ace and Shantibaba.

OT1 did pass away several years ago, unfortunately.

dude FJ, that haze x dc is going to be killer. i did some Nev's. Haze x dc a couple years ago, ran the seeds last year..... i wasn't expecting much because of the way i treated the mother during growth i wasn't impressed with her too much (first time growing a haze... and it was in hydro) but...
