History repeats itself & as fools homogenize & self away into oblivion; often - look across this forum and many others….10 plants popped, one selected & selfed, seeds shared the world @, then it gets repeated…. Why do my plants not look great, I don’t get all the hoopla - haha

You get new seed you bulk them first then you play, always being able to revert back to each stage if you’re prudent, sadly very few do this… otherwise vigor, quality & uniqueness gets tossed out with the bath water…
So true

How well we grow def impacts the quality of the harvest. Growing well can change a person's perspective on something they thought was no good. I've grown plenty that are different depending on their health.

A genius is a genius no matter the society in which he lives.
A big guy will be bigger than the average guy, in his village, regardless of how well that village eats.
A pretty girl is pretty, regardless of whether she has access to make up.

Yes, enhancements can be made, but quality should be spottable regardless of the background circumstances. If it isn't, I have to question the wisdom in working that particular line.

Hahaha, Tom talking Yoda Shit. Let’s get Depp as Luke Skywalker, Willie as Obi Wan and Snoop as Ace Windu and have a galactic haze party.

Great banter the last 24 hours. Sorry I missed it.

I’ve been busy working like mad…opportunity of a lifetime came up Sunday morning to possibly snag a 10+ acre mini farm next to the grove spot I grow my tall Sallies. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to hit it, but damn if I’m not swinging.

Been walking the land this morning...weedy as a motherfucker but the mist and rolling hills have got me thinking big possibilities.

Got me dreaming about big plans, but it’s a long shot to swing it peeps
Yeah baby !

I read this and thought of the Kena Upanishad

“That which cannot be expressed by speech, but by which speech is expressed—That alone know as Brahman and not that which people here worship”

Perhaps my inexperience is obvious but I read this to mean the wise grower bulks first then plays, ALWAYS being able to revert back to each stage if you’re prudent

Having bulked, one can thus maintain vigor, quality, and uniqueness

Im not sure how to respond lol.. I'll just say high quality genetics can be garbage when poorly grown. People judge quality based on what they smoke. Can we tell if a plant has the potential when poorly grown sure if they have the experience to spot it.

That's not what I'm getting at. I feel, and shoot me down, that it's not about the experience of the grower, or the potential of the plant. Rather the line the plant came from. If there is variability in a line, then the best performers in poor conditions, will be the best performers in optimal conditions. Therefore the conditions are secondary to the line. If there is little variability in the line, is there much point in working it further? You have the line.

What the fuck do you guys want?
ok i figured that out and not comedy this time....[dunno about the other guys]

but I want you to do some good brain work on those haze seeds you’re growing

not just let the pollen fly[you can do that too]

and make some seeds[oops germ plasm]

that have a LOT better GREAT haze ratio than what is/has been around for the last 4 or so decades....

Do I know anyone who actually has grown a pure haze that they revere and brag about..?

No..No NO...

sure ,sure, no one has the "germ plasm” we hope you do...and we are all just a bunch of dumbass clowns....

and no I have never grown out a 100 haze seeds at one time and any haze selection I have made was never

psychedelic,trippy ,profound........

but since your name somehow is attached to this haze version[THH]

I truly..[especially at my age] expect that since you are SO hot of a breeder.

that ..that what I get from you will easily surpass all of these also ran hazes

AND [again] have a good frequency rate of great cultivars..

oh yeh..ps..hold on the sedation please....every skinny haze I have grown or smoked has had too much of it

if I want sedation I can smoke virtually anything....even most sativa's

its not that I am that different.[In regards to knowing if some thing had sedation or not]

its just that either everyone else likes it..or has never had anything that didn't

I can/will put in the time..I just want the good shit right off..and not sift through a preservation from multi

pollen source..you keep that for prosperity..

I wanna make you proud and me really tripped out...but you gotta REALLY come through bro

...well you asked..

Oh ya, that makes sense. I always grow everything the best I can. A good line can produce multiple winners. Picking out the keepers can be difficult being so close in quality. The only way to know is to grow them well. Doing that at the start would save a lot time.

Toms Haze #16

Toms Haze #16

This is another impressive phenotype from Toms Hazes, she has this freaky fox-tailing bud structure. A chain of big calyxes growing in every direction out of the main colas. The calyxes are heavily frosted with big trichome glands and intoxicating aromatics. They are giving a smell reminiscent of sweet musky pine and lime with that mango and metallic element in the background. While flowering she is deceiving in its looks. Those big calyxes make it seem like shes being close to maturity in 60 days of flower, but she continues to grow and stretch seemingly forever. Some of the trichs turned amber in 15 weeks of flower, so this was the time to put her down to eternal rest.
The taste is just lovely mix of sweet pine and mango, very pronounced.
The smoke is one of the most potent out of the Hazes, very euphoric, senses are elevated to another level, she creates the situations of mesmerized curiosity about sounds and visuals. Catching myself trying to identify a sound coming out of the window, that seems very far, yet uncommonly loud in my ear. As the high wear of, i feel pleasantly tired but it goes away eventually, definitely no trace of indica in the high and she does not trigger anxiety.
As a bonus, she leaves nice aroma in the air, reminding me of burned pine resin.
