Companies like Amazon are hard to compete with because they are oligopolies that pay no taxes because the government and economy is rigged for the elite. Not because of the free market. There is no such thing as a free market. It only operates for the peasants like your dad to compete amongst themselves.

Market competition is vital to a functioning capitalist economy. Who are Amazon's competition? It's like saying Coke's competition is Pepsi..... No! They have what is basically a shared monopoly on the market. If you tried to start a soda company up from scratch you'd probably get sued into oblivion by Pepsi/Coke's law teams, or you'd fail miserably, or you'd be bought out by Pepsi/Coke.

No doubt Amazon should pay more and no doubt you have to jump through hoops to make it when dealing with corporations that large. The fact that you call my dad a peasant though tells me everything I need to know about you.

we're all peasants maybe you'll get it someday that it's us vs them. everything else is a distraction.

Did Trump Bomb Syria on False Grounds? (Answer - Of Course he did)
https://www.thenation.com/article/world/opcw-leaks-syria/

"A series of leaked documents from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) raise the possibility that the Trump administration bombed Syria on false grounds and pressured officials at the world’s top chemical weapons watchdog to cover it up. Two OPCW officials, highly regarded scientists with more than 25 years of combined experience at the organization, challenged the whitewash from inside. Yet unlike many whistle-blowers of the Trump era, they have found no champion, or even an audience, within establishment circles in the United States."

Responding to the bolded - Yeah no fucking shit. It's because the Democrats are down with the same illegal bombing campaigns. If they weren't, why would they have voted to increase the military budget under Trump every time he has asked for it?

It's all kabuki theater. The Dems are a bunch of snakes who enable these Republican neo-fashies.

You work more than me and you can't afford a bag of tools? I'm not buying anything you say. Here is what I'm working on right now, I just have to wait for the water to drain to replace the valve.

i have a small bag of shitty tools, but i definitely don't have the hundreds of dollars i'd need for a bunch of nice tools i'd need to start a company, nor do i think that's even a thing ppl do these days... our government loves helping big business squash the little guy.

remember when our dads could pump gas for a living, pay for school without debt, and support a family but still own a house? yeh, i don't remember it either, but apparently that's how the 50s were...

what's that, hvac? plumbing? i wish i went to school for that... years ago i tried to do electricians apprentice, but they all wanted me to have 2 years experience... how am i supposed to have experience if nobody would let me apprentice?

anyway, now i just do knee smacking, back cracking boring ass menial labor for a giant corporation. most i've ever been paid, but still feels like barely a living wage.

This is an incredibly interesting topic. My take is that Trump is working with the Assad administration for peaceful purposes. Note that nobody was killed by US rockets and most were shot down. Did Trump coordinate the "assault" with Assad? (good question, Hempy) The media then lied about it. And it was the media that pushed the false flag regarding chemical weapons. I can hardly wait to see the evidence against them go public! The future looks so good right now.

I always assumed that US military contacted their Russian counterparts in Syria prior to the missile launch, or other attacks when russian military were in the area as a professional courtesy and they did the same for US forces whenever we were in the area of their attacks. Of course, the russians would share the info with the Syrians.
