Its so much easier to control people - if you tarnish groups of them with the same brush - give them a name - then start a proxy war with some other group you have created to oppose them.

To do this you need divisions within society - and the old male/female division is the oldest there is.

Individuality and personal sovereignty is a nightmare for those in control - because it breeds discontent - Uniformity and submission is most often the aims of the powers that be.

I really like this perspective. I'm fond of pointing out that there's nothing meaningful you can say about any individual based upon their genitals alone.

SO MANY people want human behavior to be easy to understand, and the fact is that it never will be. We are all individuals who need to be understood individually.

Sorry, mouth-breathers - there are no shortcuts.

I completely agree. I have worked with women in construction, very few. I guess the government should force more women to become construction workers. Until the same number of women die on the job as men we can never have equality. SAY IT LOUD SAY IT PROUD. MORE WOMEN SHOULD DIE AT WORK. EQUALITY NOW. WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED. UNTIL ALL THINGS ARE EQUAL, AND THE GOVERNMENT TELLS YOU WHAT CAREER YOU HAVE, THEIR WILL BE NO EQUALITY. EQUALITY NOW.

I BELIEVE NONE OF THE ABOVE STATED TO MAKE A POINT.

I BELIEVE IN FREEDOM TO DECIDE FOR YOURSELF. FREEDOM OF THOUGHT.

DO YOU REALSE HOW STUPID THE QUEST FOR EQUALITY OF OUTCOME IS.

Can you please answer my question.

What right do women not have?

At beta look up the facts. More men run for office.

If you believe this, you believe people don't get to choose their politicians. Thus you are calling for the elimination of democracy under the guise of equality. Either denounce what you have said, or accept it. Do you want democracy or not.

No woman is stopped from running for office. The fact that men and women have different career preferences, is not an example of oppression. In the most egalitarian countries, the difference between men and women is bigger.

You are attempting to force women into careers they don't want. You are advocating oppression of women in the name of equality. This is the stuff the left does that leads to terms like libtard (a term I generally don't use).

Again, if you think that women are under-represented in all leadership positions (government, corporate, etc.) because they CHOOSE not to be leaders, you're even dumber than I thought. By a wide margin.

I seriously cannot accept that anyone is this stupid, so I can only assume you're being dishonest.

Woman outnumber men. Woman live longer than men. If they are not choosing to not run for office then why don't they win more? Woman not running or woman voting for men are the only two answers.

Most women don't gravitate towards being construction workers in the west - although many I saw in the far east were engaged in that profession - men and women do what they can do to survive - and if that entails hard labour - then hard labour is done regardless of what gribbly-bits dangle around your nether-regions -

Only in fairly recent history have women had anywhere near equal rights throughout most western societies - there are still billions of women out there in the world who can't even go and take a dump in a field without a security escort - for fear of being raped - by a man.

They are facts. You are so freaking ideologically blind, it's un real. But then again you are calling for the elimination of democracy, so that says alot.

...you forgot systemic inequality enforced by the rule of law. It's been less than 100 years since women were given the right to vote.

If your point is so good, why are you reduced to mis-representing mine?

I never said anything about the elimination of Democracy. How about you address what I'm saying instead of making up your own straw man to beat up on?

You Still haven't answered the question .

What specific right do women not have?

I was specifically speaking to beta about his quest for equality. So, the left wants specific aspects of employment to be equalized by force. If equality is the goal does the fact that women don't want to labor matter? Men should be forced fro particular occupations, but women shouldn't.

If their must be more women in ELECTED POSITIONS. YOU ARE CALLING FOR THE END OF DEMOCRACY. The freedom of choice is removed by these actions. So, a woman can't vote for a man.

Why are only the convenient employment opportunities that are majority male, should be equalized. Like I said I have worked with a couple women in my years as a plasterer. I thought it was great.

Gypsy I have a ton of respect for what you have created and the insane cost you paid for it. That being said you should be consistent. If equality is the goal, how can it be so selective?

I agree their are many countries where women are oppressed. The US is not one of those countries. Hillary Clinton ran for president, their are 3 women on the supreme court. Hopefully Amy Barret Cohen will replace Ginsberg, I would have preferred Amy Barret Cohen, over Kavanaugh. Is that misogynist?

Single college educated women in the US make more money on average than men.

To be clear any person who commits rape should be castrated or killed.

Classic deflection when it gets a little tough.

The man/woman - male/female division - is as old as history itself - your position in life was determined at birth - based upon what genitalia was present - and what you were allowed to do, and not allowed to do during your life was enforced by these laws of systemic inequality - laid down by god and king/sultan/mullah/pope/arch-deacon/rabbi etc -

Only recently (historically speaking) has part of the world entertained any sort of real equality between the sexes....

You just made my point. Women have ever right men do. Period. Your argument is completely false.

If you believe this then should women be FREE to choose their profession?

Should a leftist be able to demand that women seek employment in specific sectors. The women are being oppressed by the left not the right. The RIGHT to choose is eliminated in the quest for equality.

Believe it or not, it's possible to accept that women are systemically discriminated against and still believe that people should be elected democratically. We can eliminate the barriers that create systemic discrimination without threatening Democracy.

That's a real ground breaking idea, I know. I'm sure you've never heard of such a thing, otherwise you wouldn't have egregiously and dishonestly mis-represented what I'm clearly saying.

What right do women not have?

In most of the world women don't have the right to chose if they are going to be wives or mothers or not - there is little if any education about reproductive health - and the consequences there-of.

Women and girls are treated as chattel - and traded for 'dowry's' (wealth) - like some sort of slave trade - and this still goes on today.

Whatever equality happening politically with the man/woman thing in US politics - is small potatoes when you look at the bigger picture of all the inequality that's been going down - and still does globally.

In the US. What right do women not have?

I acknowledged that many ass backwards countries are shitty for women. That's not ok. But pushing forced equality in america does nothing to change unfair treatment of women in other parts of the world, especially parts of the world where western culture is nonexistent. Western culture of individual rights is the most important part.

It's accepted BY YOU WITH ZERO, I REPEAT ZERO FACTS. JUST BECAUSE YOU BELIEVE IT DOESN'T MAKE IT FACT.

YES, YOU ARE CALLING FOR EQUALITY IN GOVERNANCE, THUS YOU CANNOT HAVE FREE ELECTIONS.

explain the remedy to more men running for office, and more people voting for men. Do the results of the elections get overturned to ensure equality in governance.

By the way according to the left a man can become a woman and a woman can become a man. So, how does that fit.

You are assuming the "woman's gender" you are a transphobic person.
