wheres the best place to snag zamal? also which is more intense sativa, the fem or reg zamaldekica from ace? thanks

My femmed Zamaldelica was quite similiar to the Panama I described two posts back. A little more energetic, and an additional trippy quality to it, but definitely not intense. I'd go for the reg if want energy.

I think Seeds of Africa have a genetics call Zamal Reunion.
or if not go pheno hunting...
ACE two crosses, Zamaldelica and Zamal Hash; and Mandala, Mango Zamal

edit, and I hear someone from Reunion is selling seeds, from there...., you have to contact him throught Faceboo, I think
if need it, I can dig the info

final harvest od zamaldelica #4 and #6
yes TB, the rains made all pistill die off prematurely but the calyx kept swelling till now.

#4 very much resembles my malawi in aroma while #6 is totally different, stingy sharp with strong citric undertones.
I also had 2 other Zamaldelica phenos goin but they did mold completely and expressed more towards the feminized I grew.

Greetings

Oregon, Alaska, and the District of Colombia all passed measures to legalize the recreational use of Cannabis!

:dance013: :woohoo: :jump: :trampoline:

Until a few years ago, I never thought this would happen in my lifetime. Now the federal government has to realize the err of their ways, and take action to decriminalize.

California is next in 2016!

Oh man!

Highland Mexican

Highland Mexican

Highland Mexican (HMBB ) f2 - in vegetation, vigorous growth. HMBB f2 selected from 8 potential females based on close inter-nodal spacing, sweet smell and an exotic three-finger leaf structure in early vegetation. HMBB f2 smell is mango and citrus, mother smelled very skunky in flower. Pollen saved from 3 Highland Mexican males to make HMBB f3. Wispy flower tops from HMBB f1 mom ~ Highland Mexican f1 curing 9 months - Smell - mango / lime. Connoisseur smoke more depth, sensuality, and euphoria than Destroyer, but not as clear or trippy as Destroyer. I'm hoping the Highland Guerrero dominate phenotypes are as clear as Destroyer.

Highland Mexican f2 seeds are 1) solid light brown, like old school Mexican, and 2) dark brown black stripes / molten on medium brown. Can I speculate the solid light brown seeds are Mexican dominate pheno types, or is that too simplistic? I've not grown Blueberry sativa- B122. I'm not sure what to look for to select Highland Guerrero dominate pheno types.

PS> Congratulations voters for legalization in Oregon, Alaska and the District of Colombia. Hawaii, Vermont, and California legal in 2016?

PPS> wheres the best place to snag zamal? Cannabiogen carries Original Delicatessen who sells Reina Madre a fast flowering - Zamal sativa hybrid. Reina Madre (Queen Mother) - Zamal / 1960's Sativa x Congo. Not many pictures of Reina Madre on the WWW, some pheno types have the skinny leaf Zamal structure like Zamedelica, and other pheno types have that look of being grown by space aliens...........nothing I've ever seen before.

Cheers from a mile high ` 5760 feet!

a strain of trip relevance to me is satori

Don't know Satori, but in the 1970's I always had Nepalese hash. I remember Nepalese effect as euphoric and feel good, but not trippy. Dubi and charlie garcia have both recommended Nepalese Highland and Nepal Jamaican when I mention softening the trippy effect of Destroyer.

Funny the reviews I read about satori. Then I found a straight up dude running it in a journal and he said it was good but no happy effect. So im out on satori. Interested in the breeding with the hmbb and the destroyer...

Lucky dog thaibliss! Im stuck in canada where its all about rapin us. Although I see some more rapage in those us dispensaries. Funny how canadians talk about legalization but dont fight for the right to grow your own... moving to the us whenever I can.....

i keep the satori nepalese indica bat pheno for bud structure w/o much bud rot. very potent. makes great nugs when crossed with even extreme sativas. has a debilitating effect. did not find anything trippy in her. the satori nepalese sativa (spear pheno) probably does have some psychoactive effects. satori is nepalese indica/nepalese sativa. mandala's seed description is confusing but mandala has cleared up that satori is nepalese thru and thru.

the seeds of africa zamal has some nice phenos. i ran 2 packs and found two sativa non hermie females and one slightly hermie zamal sativa male. seeds of africa is the real deal as far as i'm concerned. they need to be worked in in line breeding projects.

the zamal pheno out of zamaldelica is also found fairly easily. it's the autoflowering pheno. about the 4th or 5th node up she indicates and stays in flowering mode evn under 24 hr. photoperiod. almost impossible to keep as a clone.. the zamal autoflowering pheno from zamaldelica pops out of zamaml hybrids pretty frequently. seems like she doesn't stay 'melded", separates out in fx's. neither one of my zamals is showing what i would call trippy high effects.

right now the paraguay choco chiba, papua new guinea gold pheno from nanan bouclou, seeds of africa malawi gold and ace's frosty mum malawi pheno are the trippiest. i also have a red haired mex. and a meao thai pheno out of destroyer to test that look promising. i also have mulanje gold that holds promise. make the seeds, grow them out in properly prepared soil, smoke, cure some more, smoke is the only way to find out for sure. :)

I found a hazy lemon pheno-type in Mango Haze + 17 weeks that was so,so - until yesterday that is. Now tastes it just like Lemon /Lemoncello. The effect is clear, clean and spacious, almost no stone. The high is very one-dimensional, and spacious like time standing still, probably too simple, ordinary, and clean of an effect to be popular. I smoked this Mango haze lemon phenotype along with Destroyer yesterday. Destroyer jazzes it up and prevents any energy let down.

The effect of this Lemon pheno-type is softer, cleaner, lighter and more spacious than Destroyer, but a one-dimensional high with a ceiling, not as trippy, strong, energetic, ceilingless, or complex as Destroyer.

The hazy Mango Haze (mango phenotypes) I've grown have an effect that is complex, multi-dimensional, and are strong and stony for a long flowering sativa, similar to the effect of Colombian.

The smell in flower of this lemon pheno was exquisitely sweet - rose, orange blossom, and perfume. The taste of the smoke / vapor is lemon / lemoncello. Could this be Lemon Thai? Wasn't Lemon Thai popular in early Dutch genetics when Nevil and Shanitbaba would have been collecting genetics?

This Lemoncello phenotype would be an interesting cross with Nepalese genetics or Highland Thai. With all the various genetics in Mango Haze, it probably wouldn't breed true in a hybrid. I crossed this Mango Haze - Lemoncello phenotype to a Highland Mexican male. Those Highland Mexican males, geez - kissing everything in sight.

Any thoughts or comments on the origins of hazy lemon pheno-types? Are the effects I note similar to Lemon Thai?

PS> Twelve Highland Thai (HT) x Highland Mexican (HM) - HT X HM seeds germinating.

Hi Satva,

Your descriptions of the Lemoncello Mango Haze phenotype seems to be spot on for my best Bangi Haze plant from this year's outdoor grow. The high is so clean, cerebral, and euphoric that I have to reduce expectations of people who smoke it so they don't get fooled into thinking they are not high, like a first time smoker. It has not one bit of unwanted side effect or hangover. I have been describing the aroma as very strong sweet lemon, with touches of floral perfume, menthol, and spice. Interesting that the effects and aromas are so similar to your Mango Haze plant. I am hoping to cross Bangi Haze with a more intense nerve rattling trippy type of Thai, to reduce ripening date and add more euphoria.

My definition of trippy seems to be different compared to many that are visiting this thread. Bangi Haze was trippy for me in the way that it distinctly enhanced my auditory perception. This sensory enhancement is one piece of my trippy definition puzzle.

Idiit - You sure have some great sounding strains that you are testing. We have some local breweries where I like to order a tray of their samplers with about 4 ounces in each little glass. Too bad I can't judge ganja that way. I need a day in between to clear any side effects.

Sourpuss - I've been to Vancouver and it seemed awfully liberal about Cannabis to me. I visited smoke/seed shops and such, then went out to see some good live music. Funny thing, I was thinking of moving there back then!

RandyCalifornia - Every morning when I wake up, my first thought is to plant more seeds... then I have to check that urge. The state of Oregon has a website for legal Cannabis now. It has the text of the measure, progress of rule making, frequently asked questions, etc... I saved it in my "Favorites", and it has a little cartoon ganja plant as the icon. Ha! I love it. I'm so happy!

Dave Coulier - Kill those seedlings before it is too late! You don't know what you are getting yourself into. Just kidding. You are embarking on a very, very, long journey, that I will be following closely. Please post your progress often. What do the seedlings look like now? LOL!

Speaking of not knowingwhat I've gotten myself into...

I'm on week 22 of the Gypsy Nirvana Thai x Neville's Haze x Mullumbimby Madness grow, if I don't count the month or more of vegetative growth. New pistils are still popping out, without any sign of subsiding! Next month will be 6 months of flowering. My next plant which has been on deck for 3 months or so is about 3 feet tall!

Yes, I'm freaking out a bit. But half of it is that the flowering plant has enough resin now that I'm drooling and can't hardly wait. If I didn't have several more plants to test, I'd be cutting a fox-tail, flash drying, and testing. LOL.

As you can tell, I'm still giddy about the election result. LOL, LOL, LOL...

Remember when the GNT x... looked like this:

picture.php

Here she is now:

picture.php

It has these feather duster types of buds made up of 3 or 4 inch long single fox-tails:

picture.php

That are all bunched together...

picture.php

picture.php

At this rate, when every pistil is dead, I'll be able to flush for two weeks and it will be just a moment in time relative to the flowering period.

Thanks everyone, for keeping this thread lively while this plant changes slowly, as if I'm watching the hour hand of a clock.

Gypsy Nirvana Thai x Neville's Haze x Mullumbimby Madness ~ oh my goodness!

GNT x (NH x MM) ?

GNT mother and NH x MM father?

Or was it a three way cross?

Oh my - GNT x NH/MM cured for 9 months on the stems and the high will be out of this world.

The Lemoncello phenotype + 17 weeks has a clean, euphoric, spacious, light headed, relaxed and spiritual effect. Thoughts flow like a river - very sophisticated and soft effect in body and mind. Reminds me of Thailand / Nepalese high. At some point ~ Northern Lights#5 was crossed to Thailand. I don't expect any nervous system overload or sleep disruption, I get from blazing Destroyer for a couple of days.

If you've read his posts - Nevil uses smell and taste as an important selection criteria and certainly for categorization of marijuana. He also thought a one-dimensional smell / taste results in a one-dimensional effect. I've found mango, citrus, and lemon pheno types in long flowering Mango Haze. Mango and Citrus are probably South American. Lemoncello is probably Thai or Indian influenced.

I select for effect Highland Thai and Highland Mexican have different and distinct, effects, smells, and tastes.

Next round, selecting for Spiritual effects this Lemoncello phenotype x Highland Mexican will be in the mix perhaps crossed to Nepalese.

Cheers!

Hey TB, That GNTxMM is a real beauty.
The ZamalThai Haze I love so much flowers just like that. The over ripe gold calyx's are the ones that turn red as they cure. I think the long flowering over ripe calyx's are the ticket to trippiness, along with a good cure.
You ought to be havin a heck of a Thanks Giving. Jah Bless and Irie!
