Probably the best thing going on in Laos is that pot, and they confiscate it. I bet that picture brings a tear to the eyes of ThaiBliss.

The Thai Sticks I revere were skinny and wrapped with a natural looking product. I always thought it was very fine shavings from bamboo. It may have been fibers from Cannabis stalks. I don't know. The first time I saw a Buddha Stick was in about 78 or 79. They were much fatter than the Thai sticks I was used to, and not as impressive. I'm not sure I ever had Chocolate Thai, unless it was the loose stuff.

Here are what the Thai Sticks that I'm talking about looked like. These were posted by Bushweed on the Pure Thai Sativa thread. Notice how hard it is to see the material that is used to wrap the bud material to the bamboo stick which runs down the middle, but you can see it if you look closely:

Yes. I clearly remember taking them apart. The binding fiber may have been the natural hemp fibers. In any case, the fibers were very thin, moreso than manilla hemp fibers found in rope. The ones I came across were smaller than the Bushweed pictured ones.

It wasn't until years later when I grew topical sativas properly that I learned that the sticks were simply composed of the long florets of foxtailing Thai buds.

I bought a few bundles and then they dried up and were replaced with Hawaiian. Thai sticks were the best thing I ever smoked.

Its a good thread you've kept running, Thaibliss. Thanks.

Maybe all you old timers with an eye for NLD plants could help me figure out what strain this might be?

Unknown NLD male at 4weeks of 11/13:

Perhaps I should give a bit of a taste test, High is good quality euphoric and speedy, tastes of lemon and fuel oil but isn't a diesel variety that I can tell. Doesn't respond to 12/12, really needs the equatorial 11ish days to start flowering.

Shooters,

Your plants look very nice. I wish I knew what they are. It doesn't look like Thai to me. Mexican comes to mind, but that is a complete crap shoot. It does not look like any hash plant genes in it at all. I like the high leaflet per leaf count.

Please post more pictures when the female ripens more, and give us a full smoke report. It looks like you have a winner there.

Nice job,

ThaiBliss

Would Golden Tiger be considered a trippy strain? I have not grown it myself but getting ready for my next ACE order. Any reports? Thanks!

Back when the Meao thai was used in Golden Tiger, GT was very trippy. Its completely different parents now so I dont think its the grail it used to be.

I work a hybrid using old GT stock and yea its trippy as fuck. Speedy too.

I don't know about trippy, but it really does have a special quality to the high that I never found before. Mine was Malawi-leaning though. Smoke report here.

I miss her!

Thanks dudes. I'm a little cash poor so want to do the perfect Ace order to keep me going for a bit. I have a great Thai Zamaldelica which I would like to breed with. Maybe Panama? Not sure.

How does it compare to Zamaldelica to GT? Kali China is listed on Aces site as being a 'powerful, psychedelic and sensorial effect of SE asian sativa' - this true?

Ace is currently selling their last supply of the old version. Check their website. (can I link it here?)

Yeah if you want that original high get those they would be your best bet. If you want just get Panama and GT for my money the best I have tried in 40 years. If you like Zamaldelica and I do the three would give you 3 totally different superb highs that will satisfy your every need.

I'm thinking those plus Malawi will be my next order.

Depends on if you want legit Malawi or not.
If you want a legit line, wait a little while.
ACE Malawi is not a pure line.

Bodhi has a pure Malawi Gold line - same line that was given to Dubi before it was hybridized by ACE

Ace Malawi is sold out ATM, too.
Theres a reason for that, get what you can while you can. Golden Tiger sells out quickly to. You will not regret it I cant wait for my next Ace grow, there always special.
This 2013 released GT was the best I have come across once it was fermented and aged African Malawi style curing. I haven't had better.
