Theres a reason for that, get what you can while you can. Golden Tiger sells out quickly to. You will not regret it I cant wait for my next Ace grow, there always special.
This 2013 released GT was the best I have come across once it was fermented and aged African Malawi style curing. I haven't had better.

Depends on if you want legit Malawi or not.
If you want a legit line, wait a little while.
ACE Malawi is not a pure line.

Bodhi has a pure Malawi Gold line - same line that was given to Dubi before it was hybridized by ACE

No this is not true. Ace malawi "killer" was sourced in spain also the Malawi killer clone is from a spanish grower in the mid 90's. Before he died he gave that clone and seeds of the same line that he said was from malawi sourced seed stock to ace seeds. Bodhi has a different malawi line that one is called malawi gold that came from afropips who sold many different african genetics. The Ethiopian ace offers is from ethiopian highland that afropips once sold. Theirs also the malberry and seeds of africa Malawi gold, mulanje and another two different Malawi lines not called Malawi gold from them.

The point here is malawi has many different seed lines its not just the one malawi gold their are 2 that have been called Malawi gold. Ace Malawi is just named malawi and its mom is old killer Malawi sorced in Spain 20 years ago bodhi got his Malawi from someone who reproduced it from afropips Malawi gold less than ten years ago

Exactly I lived in Malawi for many years and every time I scored herb it was different, sometimes from the same dealer it was the same but there are dozens of different types of plants so getting one type and calling it Malawi as if its the only one is wrong. most of the plants available from what you say sprang from just a few sources it seems you would have to be very naive to think there is only one strain in Malawi. Its just a name describing the region it came from.

The Malawi from Ace that I grew had a unique but to me unpleasant smell and taste. There were hints of licorice (anise I believe is the proper term) but it was harsher and kind of had a smell that made me think of death and illness. It packed a punch though.

I also grew a couple of the Golden Tigers that came from the Killer Malawi and Meao Thai and they were also potent but had a bitter orange peel smell and flavor that took away from the experience for me.

I'm really big on flavor and smell. If I find it offensive or off-putting it's hard to get in the right frame of mind to enjoy the trip.

Along that same theme, somebody a few pages back asked about good strains for building blocks and I second TB's suggestion of Neville's Haze. I kept a lime flavored 100 day pheno for several years that was some of the best smoke I have ever grown. I would also add MNS The Doors as a great strain to explore - very heady and lemony. One pheno I ran through two cycles that went 120+ days and produced awesome greasy buds. I didn't keep it because of how long it took but I had a few S1 seeds from the popcorn branches that I saved from those plants that I may run again someday.

Anyway, good luck to everyone in their quest for their perfect weed!

Oh man I miss growing. I miss the chase. The anticipation. Getting to know each plant. The payoff for my discipline and patience. The reward of enjoying the fruits of my labors.

My name is Peacefrog. It has been two years since I grew my last cannabis plant. I will take up my quest again someday. In the meantime, I look to you all for inspiration.

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who's made any potent extractions/edibles with something like the Zamaldelica. I'm sure that would be a certain astral space ride. If I had enough it would be amazing to make some RSO with it! cripes!

I completely understand! I've been out of the game for the past couple years, too. Hoping to get moved and settle down in the next few months so I can really get going proper again.

Patience. *sigh*

Greetings,

The weather is still colder and rainier than normal, but I can feel the sun getting stronger. Some seedlings are starting to thicken up.

In my quest for trip weed, I'm hanging with sorting through my Wicked Weed strain:

picture.php

One of my most exciting new tests is Miss Universe. It has been described as very potent, but too much paranoia for most folks. This sounds perfect for me. I can build up a tolerance for the paranoia, and what is left is trippy power. Miss Universe is mostly Kali Mist and some C99, among others:

^^ These are the more thin leaf S.E. Asian looking seedlings. Another seedling shows some fat leaf hash plant traits. One was eaten by a slug. Two more weeks, and they'll be big enough to be slug proof.

Almost forgot the Nanan Bouclou I started. This has been getting rave reviews. I grew one indoors that looked really hash plant like:
picture.php

Nanan Bouclou is supposed to be Hatian Indica x Cape Tribe Australian, likely Papua New Guinea Red. I'm a bit shocked and concerned that these look so sativa like. I'm afraid they will not ripen here. Too late... the ball is rolling:

Maybe this last one will lean Haitian Hash plant and ripen before November:

Here is how the indoor bud looked:

Bah ! Same thing over here......:bashhead:

Oh Man,

I should not complain at the 1/2 inch of rain over night, and the rain in the forecast every day this week. It could be worse. It could be snow. We did get about 2 hours of sunshine yesterday. Every hour of sunlight sends the slugs scurrying. We have been living in drought for decades, along with an average rain year scattered in on occasion. This year, we might hit 40 inches of rain, almost 12 inches more than normal. I can hear frogs croaking as I write.

And im over here with 90 degree days no clouds anywhere down here in behind the times shithole texas

And the winner is... LMAO. I'm sorry man. I had to go to Austin on a business trip once. I thought it was a nice city. No one took a shot at me. Lots of good food and music. I picked up a good Tex-Mex breakfast recipe. I know how to make better use of jalapeños. Rinse with water to lesson the fire and keep the flavor. You can grow good sativas down there if you can get away with it, or we get the politics turned around. I think psilocybe cubensis grow in cow pies along the Gulf Coast.

It is really unbelievable here this year. This is great news for ground water, lakes, fish, and the river. The rainy season, which ends on April 1, will be over 40 inches this year. Flood watches are in effect this week, as per usual this winter. It has been raining all night, probably over an inch. It is warm rain and the snowpack is, or was, about 140% of normal. The river was fat yesterday. I'm scared to look today.

Now can I complain? LOL. Last year my plants were 4 or 5 feet tall by May 7th. I'll be very lucky to have any 2 or 3 feet tall this year.

one of the best highs ive had was from supposedly sour diesel. i prefer clear headed highs, but sometimes i do like disorienting, dense, dreamy highs that have that hard to focus your eyes type effect. this supposed sour diesel (it did have the look, smell afaik) had this in spades; i wanted to sit, but the high was very heady, almost dissociating. the treetops turned into any number of creatures (i vividly remember a t-rex), reminiscent of ccr - 'lookin out my back door'.

ive had a few commercial hybrids get me that loaded, but never truly as memorable as this one time in like a million that i'd picked up "sour diesel". i think much can be said for set and setting.

to me, theres just something about straddling that line of existential trepidation, but with just enough euphoria to keep the anxiety at bay.

I'm a nevilles fan but I'm remember more trippy weed. I grew C99 f2 from joey weed eons ago that was more like class a drugs than weed! and a nl5 x haze from sensi seeds. That was crazy shit. I remember feeling literally mad/insane after a joint.

Greetings,

Spring has sprung! Lots of plants are flowering, it is only raining every other day, and the grass is growing. I'd like to again share my hopes for trip weed this season.

I'd like to set up pictures of my Bangi Haze X Wicked Weed by showing the parents. Here is the Bangi Haze mother:

^^^ I'm somewhat surprised how fat leaved these look. The good news is that the vigor is exceptional compared to either parent. I'm really looking forward to see how these turn out.

Here are more Wicked Weed plants I am continuing to look through:

A new strain I'm trying is Miss Universe. It has some C99 and a lot of Kali Mist, as well as hash plant genetics used to tame them. The one in the foreground is the most S.E. Asian looking. You can seed one behind it, the closer one, that shows an expression of one of the hash plant strains that was used to tame the line:
picture.php

The one in the back was damaged by mold, but it looks like it may recover. I hope the one in the foreground is female and ripens before late October.

Next is Nanan Bouclou...

Here is Nanan Bouclou. One of the parents is a hash plant stain acquired from Haiti. LOL. It must have been a sativa hash plant cross. The Haitian was crossed with a Cape Tribulation Australian line that was probably sourced from Papua New Guinea. I doubt that side had much hash plant genetics in it. It was probably a relatively pure ganja strain:
picture.php

picture.php

These seedlings look far more tropical sativa looking than the first Nanan Bouclou I grew indoors. However, the hash plant looking indoor one did get leaves with high leaflet counts:

All the Best in your Search,
