CDx life My Dx is junk. Last time I used it you couldn't get a result unless you're connected to their database. So your unit isn't actually doing the testing. Do yourself a favor and demand a refund and use that money for proper lab testing.

Lets get past the smell, that's all we ever talk about. If it smells like Skunk Spray what is the effect like? to me whats most important is smell effect and tolerance combined. I have had some weed that smelt "Skunky" but was nothing like i smoked back in the day. So just because it smells like the funk doesn't say shit about effect and tolerance. I will say that the Skunky weed i just smoked did not reek up the house like the "Kind Bud" it was pretty strong up close but from a sealed bag with a couple oz in it you couldn't smell it a couple feet away. There is a lot more to this than we know.
wrong. Aroma doesn't tell the whole story, but does tell us something about the terpenes present, which do modify/enhance effect.

Yeah like the time my buddy had a sample double or tiple bagged, and his dad gave him supreme shit for smoking it in the basement, but he hadnt, and hs dad wouldnt believe him. It had a smell carry that was somehow ridiculous.

I understand terpenes role in effect, but this variety did not have the same effect as the skunky from back in the day, but it wasn't super strong smelling skunk smell, it was a weaker smell, maybe thats why, this variety i just smoked produced lower amounts of terpenes? shit man i dont know i am just trying to figure it out...
I have to add the weed was grown right, hairs sucked into swollen calyx so that's not why it wasn't as strong smelling.

i noticed after smoking this herb yesterday that it has that "center of the brain" quality to the high like people were talking about for the skunk.
i think i already told this story in here but my mother in law swore i smoked a blunt in her room when i had only rolled a joint in there lol.

How long does the high last? can you smell the weed through the bag?
it's not super extendo, maybe just above average. average for me is around 2 hours if i smoke my normal amount. this is like 2--2.5.
i've had a few long flowering (non-skunk) varieties in the past that have kept me high for 3+ and this does not have those kinds of legs.
it does seem uniquely potent tho. i smoke like two bong loads rather than my typical 4ish per sesh. my joints sometimes get forgotten about 2/3 of the way through, which is pretty unusual for me. strange because it's not devistating it's more dreamy...
DEF can smell it through plastic, i would not feel comfortable going outside the house with it unless it's in a mason jar.

I have a couple of roadkill selfed x (starlet kush x stardawg) going, might be interesting. Just sexing the first one now, and if its a male i think i will pollinate the roadkill with it, good idea?

The X18 Cut i lost to mites, is a true RKS specimen.
It had that typical acrid, musty odor, which sticks to everything it gets in contact with. Its this type of smell everybody unmistakenably identifies as weed.
The flowering plants have an already high odor, but the cured herb penetrates jars and even the closets they are standing in. carry it doublesealed it does not matter since your clothes start to reek as soon as you are around the next corner, and so does every corner you come along^^
I've already had 100 Plants flowering in my two room appartement, but have never been anyway near as paranoid about smell, as everytime driving a car with some of this stash in my backpack.
The notes are citric, cheesy, earthy in flowering and mix up in the finished product, with some burned rubber undertone when smoking. the smoke is very thick and expanding on the exhale
still got 50g of it left curing, so far i found 10 good bagseeds, thank god. got some pics too if interested
sure its not the RSK strain you of guys mentioned above, but imho RKS just describes similiar experiences with smell in a word. Anyway I'm not from the US, so I cant verify or refer to what was around in which era, but I too had got some bud around here with that kind of smell, especially in the early days before growing and all the fancy knowledge making things unecessarily complicated, all it needs for a dublicate is real Afghan Genes
Its those smell induced memories of everyones past, that make "Road Kill Skunk" legendary in that sense. true aroma therapy haha

I have thought that over many times. I understand why you might think this, but even back in the day some varieties of weed myself and the friends i associated with just didn't work the same way the Skunky smelling stuff did, the next best variety was a very strong Piney smelling variety we would smoke if we couldn't find the Skunk, it was like what people today consider chronic A+++ yet we all built a tolerance to it and we smoked it about 10% as much as we did the Skunky smelling stuff and we "NEVER" built a tolerance to the Skunk, it wasn't just me, it was all of the people that i regularly smoked with, we had this discussion back then and one friend Steve, who was super connected into the Seattle grow scene told me about the growers making the weed super strong with a flower bulb, that was in like 1992-93, that's why i really think somebody figured out the colchicine super weed. I cant explain the HUGE difference's in effect and tolerance any other way. Look how Chimera is about his supposed RKS, he says he wont release it, if someone knew how to make super weed would they want that secret out or horde it for profitability? i think you all know that answer already. I think that's why its left to be a myth. Remember that stupid exercise in 7th grade when your teacher put all the students in a circle and had one student whisper a story into the next persons ear and when it got back to the person who started it, the story changed drastically, but there were some aspects to the story that still rang true...that is whats happening with the Skunk Weed legend. I am walking truth to this because i was there and i smoked it daily! So no that's not it, i really wish it was because then i wouldn't be searching and just except the fact i cant get high anymore.

The grower just called it super skunk but was adamant it had been handed down to his father from his granddad in the 80's. It wasn't what is known as super skunk in so cal like rascals 45 day ss. The buds were light green with orange hairs that were not dark or light in appearance.
I wanted to trade him my sfv for a cut and he wouldn't do it because he said it was a family heirloom.
That was back when og cuts were very hard to come by. Had to respect his love for his grandpa and gave him an og anyway. Other than that I have never seen another cut like the rks. I would love to get ahold of one or concoct it myself. I just want that one mom not a true line. Got to keep the fingers crossed.

That's the right area and the right time period Wendell. Any genetics from that time frame are going to have more of a shot at producing it than modern era strains.
As an update, the stinker my brother grew from the old bagseed is about 3 weeks shy of harvest. While it's still reeking, it reeks of floral fruit now. Again, definitely not the right stuff. However, if I can get one of these old seeds to give me a son, I believe a fresh batch of this old seed might have a surprise in it. Pheno hunting in old genetics a hell of a lot easier than trying to recreate the stuff IMO.
