Mister Postman said:Yes, the female I used in this cross was a nice purple pheno I found in a pack of Nirvana seeds Power Plant offering - Pure Power Plant.
Henneessy - I'm glad you liked your run with the ppp. After all it would of sucked if you tried because of the success I had with it, and found it to suck LOL. I didn't grow many plants of PPP, so I'm not sure just how many phenotypes and variance there is amongst a pack of seeds.. I just kinda hit on beautiful plant with a high and characteristics I liked and ran with it growing it from clone many times, and now finally crossing it with some other nice strains that I was lucky enough to have grace my closet and stood out...
I was really happy to see the purple color in these first f1 offspring.. It was something I would of liked the finished product to have, but thought it wouldn't have been such a dominant feature amongst offspring like it appears to be..
I have not sampled any of these power diesel plants yet... I can't wait to do so though LOL.. I REALLY liked the sativa dominant high, and high ceiling of the ppp. The high ceiling allows you to gradually dose, and get higher, and higher.. Smoking my ppp after smoking upon many other strains daily brought me back the type of highs I had when I first started smoking.. smoke to much and it can get a lil racy and overwhelming both body, and head highs are noticeable... As far as yield goes the plants seem to range from slightly above to slightly below average.. I found the same yield variance amongst the wonder diesel phenotypes, so compared to the ppp mother most offspring have a slightly lower yield, but higher yields then my lower yielding wonder diesel. On the whole though at this point yield is taking a back seat to the flavors-highs- and overall quality of the plants. Plus my bulbs are on their 4rth-5th run so for right now I'm looking mostly towards their individual growth characteristics, potency, and quality over yield. Every one is a descent yielder though.. I wouldn't think anyone who has grown some of those known shit yielding strains would consider these low yielding LOL..
8 week flower time is a lil short for the ppp pheno I grow. Some could be quicker though, and I find flower times vary a lot from light to light.. Plants grown under my 400's mature a week or so faster then my 250's, and the one time I flowered under cfls to see how'd they do it took even longer..
Thanks for checking out my journal... Glad you'll like what ya see...

Mister Postman said:Right? LOL on number 4 the more sativa of the bunch with the looser bud structure they are like bunches of big fat juicy trichome covered grapes..
I'm really curious to smoke that pheno.. It's the only one with that bud structure, and it the only one where the trichomes seem to be concentrated mostly on the calyx themselves, and less on the leaves. The other three plants have relatively dense buds compared to that one.
