Hehe thanks Anima... Your right though, they are the size of popcorn kernels LOL. The top bud of that plant keeps getting bigger, and bigger and kernels keep on stacking. That plant sure has a high calyx to leaf ratio.. Trim up is gonna be a breeze with that plant.

I'm really curious how they're gonna smoke.. I sure as hell got a good variety to sample.... Tight buds - loose buds, purple buds - green buds, Fat leaves - skinnier leaves, Sweeter - spicier hehehe 1 of them gotta be good LOL.. I also gotta few seeds from a back cross of each of these plants to their wonder diesel poppa, so if these don't yield up something nice maybe those will.. :rasta:

I'd like to grow maybe a few of those bx next, some wonder diesel f2, and I'd also like to drop my 5 seeds of blockhead sooner rather then later.. As well as the chem dog bx rez was nice enough to offer up to the closet. A citrusy-blueberry mouth full of skittles typa flavor sounds really goood. Don't think I have room for all that but these are on my to grow lists for right now at least LOL..

Friggin Strawberries LOL...

My cousin and I say it smells somewhat like strawberries, and a girlfriend of his says watermelon bubblegum hehe. That's the consenses of what this scent is I'm getting from a few of these plants.. Whatever it is exactly, it has a spicy, and almost artificial fruity scent to it I just can't wait to taste..

PPP very spicy-pungent-herbal, and wonder diesel sweet-sour citrus lemon.. Put them together and get a scent like strawberries??? Gotta friggin love this plant :canabis: I certainly wasn't expecting that, but hell I'll take it, and smoke it
petard2.gif
hehe

I started smelling it more so on the green pheno plant #1 first, but it's also becoming more noticable on two of the purple phenos as well.. Sweeter on the green plant, and spicier-pungent on the purples IMO at this point... I think I've decided on running a few of these purple strawberry smellin power diesel's backcrossed to the Wonder Diesel next run from seed and see what I get.. I think the more they take from the wonder diesel daddy the more sweeter-tastier they'll be.. The backcross seeds should produce more of that I'm thinking.. Who knows... Trial, and error, but I think I should have a few nice momma from which to grow from clone...

As far as feeding goes.. Like I said not much will be added as far as liquid ferts goes. I'll be watering with 8ml liquid karma, and 1tsp each mollases/sucunat, and sensizym as directed every watering, and take it from there..

how often are you watering?

That is a hell of a feeding regimen using all that every watering.......

^^^ was that for me mynamestitch, or was this posted here by accident? I don't know maybe you read something I was feeding in the beginning of the thread or maybe the new earth juice dosages I gave are to strong for feeding every watering IYO?

Anyway I give them water when the 3gal. grow bags are dry... At this stage in late flower it's about every 4-5 days, at peek growth I was watering every 3rd day or there abouts . The second part is what threw me off as i do not feed every watering. Everything is pretty much contained in the soil mix with the fox farms piece of mind and other amendments I used which I have realized now was a lil to nitrogen rich to transplant into again right before flower. So because of the rich amended soil I've fed the organic teas maybe 3-4 times throughout the whole growth period. Not as hands on as I would of liked to be with the teas, but the soil was just to damn rich from sitting to long before planting for regular tea feedings as I had fed in the past runs with lighter soil mixes.

I tried to correct this for my next run by leaving out the compost I had used this run which contained dehydrated manure (higher npk then composted). Instead I used mushroom compost which is much lighter half and half with the same seaweed/shrimp compost I used this run. I also cut the fox farms pom dose to about half, and pulverized it down a bit more for a faster activation in the soil mix. I also mixed the soil mix lighter overall adding in some coco in place of some of the peat as I'll be reusing some soil and liked the sustainability of the coco

update on the ladies

Sorry I have not had time to grab pics of the ladies lately. I've been really, really busy with work lately. These power diesels are heading to the chopping block within the next 2 weeks... The "flush" began last week, and I'm hoping to at least get some of that excess green out of my leaves before harvest.

I took a sample bud off of plant 2 and it was pretty damn good for being picked a lil prematurely, and just dried. That particular plant was very PPP dominant in looks-growth. The taste was spicy-floral taste upfront , and upon exhale the only earthbound flavor that comes to mind is roses. Can't wait to get them all hung up, dried, and cured. They all look, and smell slightly different from each other. Sometimes you gotta love the variety you get in a hybrid cross. Hopefully at least 1 will be deemed a keeper from which to clone from... I really like the looks of the plant 3 with it's single cola dominant stature, and trichome covered buds ranging from pink-lavender-to almost purplish-black. Hopefully that one has an unique flavor as I'd love to run a lil sog of those bat style plants LOL.

Wow awesome looking plants you got there.

I didnt read all 19 pages, but pics of UV lights? and where'd you get them? heard they were a recommended addition, never used them myself. And also noticed you use molasses even in flower? I used it all veg but not since then (15-20 days) I thought it mostly was used for nitrogen purposes?

Lastly I didn't catch how long you vegged for (diesel)

thanks alot for any feedback and GL on harvesting those beautiful ladies :canabis:

Sorry to hear your orange diesel has been a no show. Unfortunately I had a few as well. Guess those are the breaks doing what we do. Sucks when it's such a highly anticipated purchase though.

The double strawberry diesel is a favorite of many. For a sure a strain I'd like to try myself one day. Maybe when Rez releases the chemdog bx I'll pick up a pack of them if they're available.

The ppp I grow has a good high though.. I haven't grown out a large selection of them though so I'm not sure how other plants may smoke, but I've been pleased. The first time I smoked the strain even though my tolerance was high it brought back the good feeling happy-giggly highs I had as a youngin. The more you smoke the higher you get, and I know with the plant I grow you can smoke it till you can't open your eyes any longer LOL.. It's has a wide range of effects depending on how much you smoke I really like about it..

To be honest the uvb thing is something that's not done by the majority of indoor growers. Most growers do without, but I try to recreate as much as possible the sunlights spectrums/rays with my indoor lighting, so it's something that I've been experimenting for some time now.

The lights I use are reptisun 10.0 fluorescent bulbs... They come both in the long tube fluorescent which I prefer, and the compact coil type fluorescent bulbs. You can find these in your local pet stores, but your much more likely finding better prices online.

As for molasses... Well that's a large part of my feeding regimen. I'm an organic soil grower, and that's were the benefits of molasses is notices the most IMO. it provides a raw sugar-carbohydrate source the soil life feeds on, and also does have an npk value. Much more potassium then nitrogen, and it's also a great source of micronutrients - magnesium, iron, and calcium. I use it through both veg and flower in my teas, or whenever I offer nutrients. I stop using it 2-3 weeks before harvest as thats when the plants are only getting water.

There is a great thread on molasses in the organic section here.. heres a link if you haven't caught it yet..

sweet, thanks for the info. Yea thats actually where I first read the info on molasses and made me try it out. I found a 'plant & aquarium' light at walmart. It just says wide spectrum and its really purple. Not the same as uv obviously but I figured Id give it a try

Hell yeah tbug, the top cola on plant 4 is pretty impressive. It was stacking calyx rather loosely, and looked airy for the longest time, but within the last 2-3 weeks it really swelled up, filled in, and really developed a solid top bud now. I didn't top, prune, or shape these plants either. Pretty much let them grow naturally with the larger single top cola shape.

I don't get to much penetration from the 250's, but certainly enough for some nice hefty top colas at least:joint: Next grow is gonna be interesting though as I recently bumped up my lighting to 400 ceramic metal halides. I'm really excited to try those along with the uvb I provide the plants. It's pretty much as close as I've come to reproduce the suns spectrum-rays to date, and that stuff always excited me LOL.

As for my election... To be honest I'm hoping for a few more write in votes this election, then last hehe.. Really though this Bush administration clearly shows what can happen when 1 man is given to much control, and power over a whole country. This country needs to be given back to it's people. It's getting to the point everyone should friggin write in themselves, and prevent these phony crook politicians from silencing our voices, overlooking morals, and taking OUR COUNTRY away from US. The fact that the majority of the country is against war, and for bringing our troops/children home, and them still being shipped out there to come home in wooden boxes sickens me. I thought the whole reason for a democracy is so that the majority can be heard, and for a country to be run by it's own people which is clearly not the case in this day and age.

Cloning

Cloning

Hey bro...I can't get my clones to take in my bubbler set up...so I'm back to the drawing board...

going to try your popsicle cloner...how long does it take to root your clones?

Is the water level touching the stems or just the perilite?

Trying to get some guidance on this cloning deal so I can be more efficient in this whole game...because sexing, revegging and then flowering sucked bad.

Thanks Postman!

Oh yeah...Kick ass pics...being a photographer I love the quality.

I've rooted some strains/clones in as little as 7 days, but I'd say 10-14 days is average. Temperature is important. My clones root faster in the warmer in the months then the winter so that comes into play too.

It's very simple method, and really it's gotten to the point I root them 100% effortlessly in that lil setup. It's just the ice pop tray with holes drilled in the bottom. u could probably do similar with plastic cups in a tray. I put the perilite in, moisten it, and then use a pen or something to make the hole to slip the prepared clone down into. I put the stem down probably about 1/2 in. from the bottom, so when the try is filled the stem is submerged usually. Even if you don't have a long stem the perilite will draw up the water and keep it moist enough to root. Either way I've done it long stem or short stem. Usually when i fill up the bottom try it will submerge the stem, but at times the water lowers enough to have to draw up the water.

Cloning will definitely come in handy as you set out to do the breeding ur planning on doing shortly. I'm pretty sure this will work for you. If at any time they start to droop any just give them a light misting.. Mine can actually root here without misting, but if ur in a lower humidity or warmer location u may need too mist more.

What cloning gel or powder do you use?

P.s. - my bubble cloner has rooted 5 of those buggers...guess the colder temps just had it take a little longer...this is around 12 days now...but I don't like the noise of the air pump, so I'm going to do this.

Thanks!

I use Shultz take-root when I do use something for rooting. Same lil tub I've had for 2 years now LOL. Some sticklers for organic growing wouldn't use a powder such as that, but it's what was available to me when I needed it, and it seems to work fine. To be honest I don't use anything for rooting to often with this cloner. I've cloned with nothing but water in that system plenty of times. I'm really in no rush for them to root when I take them, so if they take an extra day or 3 it's no great shakes. So yeah, sometimes I'll dip them in the powder, and then sometimes I won't heh. They all root though, and that's what really counts...

It got kinda routine. I pop them in, and when they start to yellow a little I know they have roots, and are looking for food. When that happens sometimes I pop them out and plant them then, and other times I've added a lil diluted bloom nutrient or kelp tea to the reservoir and let the roots establish a bit more.

good luck with the clones. Hope it works out for you as it has for me.
