It is trashing my feeders too. Once the wind dies down today, I need to put them back together so I can feed the birds. I may need to stop feeding the birds for a month or so. A pack of rats have taken up residence and the traps I put out have proven to be a game for them.

I do not believe in hoppacopters. There is what we useta call a "Jesus nut" on them. You can see it plainly on the leader -- it is the nut that holds the rotor on.

No other powered aircraft turns into a completely uncontrollable brick if one dinky part breaks.

Oh... One moar thang: It takes both hands and feet of the pilot to just keep a hopticator in the air. A real plane will actually fly itself -- even a Spam Can.

Wait... if your Piper Warrior engine dies, you crank the trim wheel back, and the plane will assume an attitude that will allow it to land by itself if you are incapacitated (possibly without damage if the ground is clear like a golf course).
