Something to fall back on!

I too have a DD-214 with an honorable discharge as well, but have never used it for the VA. I have friends that do use it and are not uniformly pleased with the timeliness and quality of their treatment.
I go to the VA twice a year. Have to in order to keep my dinged helmet status and collect that incredibly huge $138 check.

But I would NEVER depend on them. They have doctors that cannot get a job anywhere else. <-- Think about that.

If my son wasn't a doctor, I would be DEAD from the "help" I got from the VA when I got MRSA: A card of useless pills.

My 100% disabled USMC friend has ongoing horror stories to tell, including them regularly changing his meds and doctors as well as losing his records.

He also thinks that they use the vets as Guinea Pigs to test new meds, especially in treating things like PTSD, which he seriously suffers from. He was first hit with enemy machine gun fire and then by the friendly 105 howitzer support fire that fell short and also killed the medivac crew dragging him to the copter.

The drugs that they have been giving him have seriously affected his mental capacity and sadly the last two times that he has visited me, he's gotten lost and I've had to go meet him and guide him here.

Last night’s dinner only lasted a few hours in me but so far I’ve kept down my oatmeal from breakfast and I had eggs for late lunch and they’re still in me… I’ve been dealing with this in one way or another for nine years since they had my cancer surgery
The flu almost killed me once by giving me tachycardia and a-fib, the result of me not eating and just drinking lots of liquids. That got my blood electrolytes out of balance, causing the heart disorders.

If it doesn't improve I would suggest a doctors or emergency ward visit for blood tests to verify that you are staying in balance.
