My idea of sensible and it also presses the appropriate button too for all those curious of the criteria involved in making that decision.

Shaving that ring of lead is desired as it assures A tight fit sealing the chamber preventing chain fires and increasing pressure.
Without shaving A ring the rounds tend to back out the chamber and jam the cylinder from rotating.
We shoot BP revolvers at least weekly cuz its a ridiculous amount of fun.
The downside is powder and especially caps are scarce and extremely expensive.
These days under our current regime.

Seems like most things are getting smaller - I used to be 6ft tall - but was measured during my annual physical recently - and was told that I am now only 5ft 11 inches tall - I wonder if everything shrinks as we age?
