A rainy day starting at 40F here and predicted to reach 50F.

An empty calendar today, open to depravity, dissipation, or debauchery, which ever comes first or seems like the most fun.

Hey mate, I think you might have hit the wrong button!

On a different note, I'll officially be OAP this year when I hit 55. Finally got back to Hong Kong last year after three years of Covid lock-outs, but you wouldn't like the place now. I was there during the riots in 2019 and there was a big disconnect between the young-uns and the older crowd. The young folk wanted their freedoms like they had under British rule, but the old folk knew trouble was brewing – and they were right.
Flying in to Hong Kong is definitely a washer-biter. As a passenger/pilot, I was naturally lookin' out my window as the plane turned to final.

I about shit myself. Here I wuz, in a plane the size of a fargin B-52, and I see (and learn for the very first time!) that we are gonna land on an aircraft carrier. TINS, that is what it looked like:

Not only did a long or short landing put you in the fargin ocean, there was only about 100 feet of land on the left side -- the side where we were going down -- before you were again in the ocean.

Fargin aircraft carrier with a B-52 full of the only Unca Walt I ever had.

And it was raining fit to frighten Noah. Did I mention there are mountains all over? A go-around was just about out of the fargin question.

A cheerful greeting for all visitors is the burned-and-sunk sooper liner, Queen Elizabeth:

I have no doubt in my military mind that the pilot landing the 747 was as tense as a virgin Donut Dolly in a Mexican prison.

Haha! As a commercial pilot myself, I know the feeling.

But I'm guessing you never landed at the old Kai Tak Airport in Hong Kong. It was even hairier!

it was a long day in Colorado Springs yesterday….did not get home until almost 9 pm….

we found a small Mexican grocery store on the way home in Ellicot and picked up about 20 lbs of various cuts of meat

also got a pound of bbq beef and 4 pork tamales with some green hot chili sauce…..omg!

we also, stopped by a dispensary to see what’s up and was really disappointed in the quality and and choices of their concentrates..

we picked up 3 grams of some live rosin and some pre-rolls for the trip home..😁

we also picked up a couple of iPhone 15’s to upgrade from our iphone6…hahahahhaa….

i am a little slow keeping up with the new technology and this 15 has so many bells and whistles that I will never understand or use , I need to take a few classes on how to use the dam thing…

we got a fog and snow warning going on around here the next few days so we will be hunkering down with snow me to door projects…

time for some moar coffee!..

Good morning SG!

Portland has three seasons, which is one of the reasons it is so green. July, August, and rain.
we think it cost more just to package the rosin than the rosin itself…..

Just the prestige of having the box prominently displayed in your home is reason enough to buy it.

When empty, it also opens doors to stroking leaches and palming off your lower-grade material.

OK. Buy a LED!

I can organise you a deal on a Grow Lights Australia fixture (a couple of the guys on MPG have bought them), but there are cheaper options that will still give you good results. Shipping from Australia to the US is a bit of a killer, but we're working on getting a distributor there.

Cost is valid, but if you get more yield for extra cost, doesn't it pay for itself?

In any case, the first questions are: how big is your grow space? Does the light need to veg and flower? Is it hotter or colder where you grow? Are you concerned about energy consumption?

The main reasons to switch to LED come down to cost savings on bulbs and power; removing excessive heat from the grow area; running out of head height (LED fixtures are usually low profile, can be hung closer, and can keep plants a little more compact than HPS); and increasing quality (this one will be argued about but, trust me, LED-grown is as good or better than HPS grown – and you know I've grown with both for many years.)

If you are in the States, then I'd normally suggest supporting a local vendor instead of a cheaper Chinese manufacturer. You'll thank me when your cheap Chinese fixture breaks and you have to wait weeks or months for a replacement. Buy local, as they usually provide better support. If you have an issue with a grow light in the middle of flower, you just can't afford to wait weeks for a replacement.

Also check the warranty fine print: some manufactures boast of a "five year warranty" but will only replace the fixture in the first 12 months. After that, you have to pay for shipping and parts. Some things are also not covered under warranty, like having a few dead diodes (which will likely lead to more dead diodes as time progresses).
5x10 tents 4 of them in a very cold environment.
I nave two 1000 hps in each of them now.
Mpg is a bunch of government boot licking faggots these days which was really disappointing to me.

Still can't see sigs and now all my posts need moderator approval before they go live.

And I've been on my best behaviour, too! :ROFLMAO:

I got gassed a couple of times in 2019 but last year the place was dead. You hardly see any foreigners there now, mostly just mainland Chinese who have taken over. We were there at the best time, before the handover.
Now that's funny!
