After reading the last dozen or so posts about dry ice hash, I remembered I’ve got 96 g of the stuff that I made a year ago. I tried the press and heat and I didn’t have the formula right so I just walked away from it and never gave it another thought. I’ve been too damn busy for ages and I’ve made a commitment to slow the roll down… I just finished hanging the three trimmed plants in my shop and I’ve got almost 6 pounds of wet marijuana so I’m thinking I should get close to a pound when it’s dry…

Hello, have you grown Durban before, I am working up to a seed order and have considered Durban for a daytime medical use. I mostly use cannabis in the evening but at times during the day I like to get busy, get happy and look for a strain that gives me a physical boost, calm on the mind and good for moderate pain that I experience during day hours. Evening hours and my pain levels skyrocket.

I'm gonna do a run myself coming up I have a half dozen or so from various breeders.
Look for the anise pepper than you got a real Durb.
So much subject matter on this plant, Durban is an old shipping port which was on the hippie trail.
Lots of stuff have gone thru that port giving that name Durban.
It is though that the real Durban was a Mullimby Madness, which is why the upswing in it using it for breeding has made it so popular.

It’s just in a bucket with the dry ice. I was going to throw it out. I’m afraid of alcohol and butane and heat and making sure I get all that junk out of the product.
I would suggest 190 proof Ethanol for the first time. If you put the material and the ethanol in the freezer and take it down to 0F before combining them, and limit the time they are mixed together before pouring them through a strainer and then a coffee filter, you can make a brown dragon extract.

You could then evaporate it away in a Pyrex pie plate or casserole dish outside, covered with a towel to keep debris out. Very little danger and a good return.

Here is an example of a QWET brown dragon extract but using a still or hot oil bath to remove the alcohol.

Some friend of mine in a similar situation once tried out filling it in a strong zipper and put it under his shoe sole when going for a walk.

Strange way, but gives enough heat and pressure 😅
That used to be one of the ways kief was pressed into hash. More heat and pressure is required for Rosin.

I experimented some using clamps and hair straighter heating pads, which worked but I didn't fall in love with the taste and effects of heat pressed Rosin over BHO Live Resin, so didn't fully develop the process.

I did buy a press and design the dies before moving on to more exciting things, so here is what I came up with:

That’s kinda like I make my tincture. There are some good tips about keeping the plant matter out of the tincture tho that I will use next time I make it. I defiantly let it hang out in the jar too long. I don’t think I’ll be using the leftovers still. I think I got all the goodness out of it. If our daughter was still making edibles regular I would save it but I can’t see it being worth much to me at this point. so it’s sitting in a bucket in the garage ready for me to get yelled at for leaving it there. 🤣😂🤣
