The Palm Beach Post was screaming about the utter devastation (eg: "the coming record flooding" of the Cat 1 (minimum level) storm we just had. Small headline hidden under today's headline below tells how the just-passed terrible hurricane Debby... wasn't, and damage was far less than expected.

Ohhh-Kay. Starry skies, still air... and the screaming headline of the most important news in the entire world (by PBPost standards) rings the bells of warning once more:

Our cat Melissa eats my seedlings, so I have to protect them in a cage until they get bigger. I planted winter wheat to see if that would give her the salad she needed and dissuade her from my garden, but alas it didn't work.

Good morning brothers and sisters!

Just another double gorgeous day in Paradise, starting at 62F and predicted to reach 87F.

We had an old friend drop by from the east coast and enjoyed his visit. Alas he is over twenty years younger than I am and is on a colostomy bag from colon cancer surgery and has two hernia surgeries that failed and have to be redone.

Birthday dinner out with Grayfox and NM at Clyde's Prime Rib. I ordered the 16 oz prime rib so that there were leftovers for Miss Layla and Melissa when we got home, and our breath examined.

I have been buzzed and eating something and I carried away talking and I forget his snack and many times I take what I had in my mouth and give it to him .

Miss Layla is at least glad to see us and polite about it, where our cat Melissa mugs me at the door for her share.

Ok all you tough guys out there....I know you are really softies when it comes to animals. This is Kevin the cat. Main Coon Cat. 20 lbs and still growing .....all boy but he has a soft side. He is sleeping in the clothes basket needing and sucking on my T-Shirt......Big baby. Fast asleep.

I had a black Maine Coon that would try to nurse on MY nipples when I was sleeping. That’ll wake you up fast. He was about 3 weeks old when my brother in law handed him to my wife in a brown paper bag. Great cat though. Followed me around like a puppy.

Do you know what said physicist was smoking?

In theory if you could travel faster than the speed of light, you could overtake the light that left 1984 and see what happened in 1984(with a super duper telescope I suppose) but the only thing we know of that is faster than the speed of light is gravity(maybe) since that may act instantaneously over almost infinite distances. Folding the fabric of space maybe? But it doesn’t seem to me that you would be ‘in’ 1984 as much as you would see the light reflected off of objects and happenings of 1984. Or maybe I smoked too much Heri-Berry last night…
