Hello and good day to you Sub...I have seen baked potatoes in photos that are sliced but have never done or tasted such a potato. What does it do to the potato, besides give it a Freddy Krueger look.
Do you lather it with salt & butter? Maybe a little parsley

That is a terrific looking meal, my favorite cut of beef is the striploin.
I have never met a potato I didn't like.
Carrot are always in the fridge
It’s potato season old man and I try to mix it up sometimes so Mr sub don’t get tired of the same ole same ole. I want him to keep me around for a bit longer. 😳 The cut up ones are dripping in real butter salt pepper and will get some chives and mine will have a bit of sour cream. They have a different texture kinda between a fry and baked potato. Carrots are not my favorite but these are pretty good roasted with honey butter. Carrots and potatoes are still cheap and I always have them around.

The orange tabby cats look like real hunters. They have a lion look in their eyes. My two cats are inside cats really the first inside cats we have had as all our cats before were inside/outside but losing our last two to coyotes. Since then we have kept our next two adopted cats as inside. I am their slave. Louie is a stoner and Cleo is large and in charge of my dog Arlo. Keeps him outta trouble. Your cats are beautiful. Is that a reindeer?
It's a mule deer from here in the Badlands of the Dakotas. My males should be enormous this year.

They have made it to 5 and 6 years old. We have been caring for multiple generations the last 13 years.

We have about 30 deer total that winter in the safety of our canyon and yard. The mom's and babies will come up within a few feet of me when I'm putting grain screenings out for them.

The older deer understand the importance of the little ones getting food, even if they didn't sire them. Our two biggest boys are brothers a year apart.

I have watched them spar in the darkness of night outside my window more than once. The motion light has no effect when it comes on, they're used to it.

Farmer out in his underwear? I can't breathe in cold or hot air from my lung issues, so who needs pants?

When the weather cools and I can use the oven again one of the first things I will cook will be the sliced baked potato, I am a fan of Russet potatoes, I have fresh chives growing in my garden. Not a fan of sour cream but my sweetie is. Well, I like sour cream just not on baked potatoes.
Carrots are not my favorite, but yet, I use them quite a bit. What would a stew be without carrots and some soups. Scalloped potatoes mmmmmm

I am personally happy for your good health. I have read about, though not met, folks that drank their fill of alcohol on a regular basis, and smoked daily, and lived to 100. We all make very personal choices about our health. Nothing that I ever post has anything to do with anyone making a profit, including myself. My significant other and I eat tofu 3-4 times a week, eggs once, and chicken and fish for the other dinners. Nobody is making or losing any bags of money from us. If you do not trust an entity such as the Mayo Clinic for information, so be it. They are not selling anything. Everything they discussed is at the grocery store, like anything else. There is nothing personally directed towards you either. Differing opinions spawn expanded thinking. We are all very independent adults here, so no one would be foolhardy enough to be foolishly schooled. And, no one is promoting or selling anything. Enjoy your day!!
I can recognize a sideways dismissal.

I also understand cognitive dissonance.

My suggestions were for folks who are concerned w/ their
current health issues to look beyond the status quo and
do their own due diligence and look at perhaps modifying
what they eat when struggling w/ common health issues.
Simple.

Then: I shared how I did so.
It wasn't easy to break away from what I've been told my entire life:
That same information posted by the mayo clinic.
It is exactly what I'd adhered to my entire life and is that in which had
caused me to become unhealthy and miserable with common and easily
resolved/ preventable issues (overweight, joint pain, rising BP/ cholesterol, etc).

By doing my own 'research' and choosing to no longer conform...
then and only then did my declining health (and what is so offhandedly
referred to as "natural aging") begin to improve and...most amazingly...
almost immediately.

I am only stating that the standard american diet as we know it
IMPE is not a healthy one. I am not alone in this discovery.

Oh heavens NO!
The Mayo clinic is profiting off sick ppl.
Say it ain't so!

How about we just agree to disagree on this topic.

I'll not be able to help others to open their eyes to
seek the unknown who choose to keep them closed.
Nor;
will I be swayed to change my mind as to what is a (truly) healthy human diet.

We have been duped for profit.
Some know it, some won't accept it.

I am lucky. Mrs Pute is a nutritionist. She makes me eat things that would make a Billy goat Puke,

CONUNDRUM: Answering posts on this raceway without reading ALL the posts on this raceway.

PROBLEM ONE: You find your answer is moot after you post it. (*sigh*)

PROBLEM TWO: You went through so many fargin pages that you forgot to answer the post you coulda helped sumbody with.

And a conundrum does not come in a package. OH GAWD. Funny story. Better not.

back in the 60’s when I was in high school , Sex Ed class was mandatory

then the schools started passing out condoms

next thing you know , there is a shortage of condoms available to give away

would this be a condom conundrum or a proliferation of prophylactics?….

i love the carnivore diet but I ain’t gonna push it down anyone’s throat or tell them they are going to health hell if they don’t get off sugar , high fructose corn syrup , glyphosate , and fluoride

I know two people that were extremely overweight. Their heart doc put them on basically a carnivore diet very few allowed fruits and veggies no grains no carbs mostly meat eggs and cheese to combat their weight and heart issues. Every time I would see them, they looked like they lost another 20-30 pounds. They both lost all their weight which in turn helped their heart problems. I go on that same diet when I want to lose a quick 10 pounds as it’s very quick to come off 10 Lbs at a time just about a week for me. My health would have to be much worse to stay on it as I love my carbs and vegetables and cookies tonight 😳
