Yeah me too, I can't even remember the guy's full name. As for what it was about, I think it was a link to his personal grows to show the efficiency of them.

i feel sort of sorry for those idiots, and at the same time think they're frickin weak minded idiots...smart phones are clearly one of the dumbest things ever invented...however occasionally useful they may be
Yup - I can't understand why people would risk their lives by walking around staring into a smart phone - they have absolutely no situational awareness - and could get run over - mugged - robbed - fall down a hole - tread on a child or dog - or walk slap bang into another PHONE ZOMBIE - amongst other things 🤔 - it's just plum crazy 🤪

Left The Grind in 2004, then like a nut started my own Grind - ag biz, vineyard, greenhouse, garden. This farm is getting harder to maintain as time marches on.

'Back'ing off, literally. MRI of the lower lumbar being read by a pain management doc yesterday showed lots of stenosis. Already have rods/screws fusion, narrowing of spinal fluid, pinching. Hard to walk these days. Steroid epidural set up for Monday. If that doesn't work, back under the knife with a neurosurgeon.

Growing old sucks....
Suffering from more or less the same problem (although not as bad as your sounds) I wanted to suggest you talk to your doc about whether or not a procedure called Radio Frequency Ablation or RFA for short is a good fit for you. The process is a lot like getting spinal injections but instead of pumping you with steriods and such the burn the nerve endings of where your pain is at. This temporarily disables those nerve endings so that that can't send their pain signals to your brain. It's a temporary fix that last for a few months until the nerve endings grow back. They say that the more often you get it done the longer it takes for the nerve endings to grow back allowing the relief to last longer. I've had it done twice myself and have noticed significant relief for the time it works and so far the time between treatments is getting longer although only by a month or so, so far. Anyway it might be something worth looking into before commiting to more invasive surgeries?

The thing that always amazed me the most about smart phones is how quickly people became so addicted to them. I remember one day during a doctors visit I was sitting in the waiting room and looked around and found instead of people flipping thru old magazines or watching whatever was being shown on the TV in the waiting room (usually a soap opera or some game show) suddenly everyone was playing games, streaming videos or surfing websites on their smart phones. Or at grocery stores where everyone was walking around chatting on the phone as if their lives were so important they couldn't just focus on shopping without chit chatting with someone. I mean it seemed to be almost literally overnight. I mean virtually everyone, young and old alike. I too joined the modern age and got one of these wonderous pocket computers that you can make phone calls on too but just for the convenience of being able to make a call from anywhere in the event of an emergncy, not to just casually be using them every hour of the day and nght. I don't know, maybe my life just isn't as important as everyone else's (said sarcastically)?

But is a way Better way to spend your wait time in the docs office as long as you keep the sound down (some don’t). Way better than those germ riddin magazines or the ED ad they run constantly at my urologists office.
