Has anyone tried ProMix BX hempies with any success? Can't find any information but find it easier to use than coco with similar growth rates.

I know it's been done. But I don't think it's necessary to have the Rez with a peat based mix. I would lean towards thinking its a bad idea. You want to wet/dry cycle promix

Sampson I'm with Bomb on the previous page. Perlite an inch over the drain hole. LCs soilless mix on top. Top dress neem meal, kelp, Gro-kashi, ewc. Water in with aloe and mulch well. I also add a fill tube like earthbox style to fill or flush the res if needed. Easy way to grow I've ever tried.

Blue Cindy clone #1 in a soil/perlite hempy. I'll cover the container with duct tape leaving a small line so I can monitor the water level.

That doesn't sound very easy to me.

i've previously tried perlite/verm hempy, coco/perlite hempy, poly foam hempy and all of them all i did was dyna gro protekt and foliage pro from seed to harvest.

Was much easier then needing all those different things, but i really like promix and disagree with the previous guy who says that it likes a wet dry cycle. promix likes a wet to damp cycle. I do add a little vermiculite to my promix bx, also, which keeps it from separating from the sides as it dries.

i might try it anyways. all of the previous ways worked with not much difference between them all.

Just an observation?

Just an observation?

Coming up will be my 4th grow so by no means am i an expert on growing cannibus. But a lot of what i am reading online waa not very beneficial to my grows. So, if u r first starting out i have some quick tips on misinformation. (haters- plz dont jump all over my sh.. about why i should be doing this or that. This is what worked so it is what it is) So, my plants needed way less water than advertised and they didnt enjoy long deep drinks. They did way better with light waterings. Nutrients, way over kill on the labels and online. My plants needed about 1/3 the amount suggested. Nutrient problems, dont stress i found most if that was from overwatering ( see above). Lighting, wow, i read what i needed and got all the bells and whistles. Trust me they help but ive also grown using two 100w bulbs for $3. Soil..." buy this orchid soil then add bat sh..t " once again way over kill. For $20 i purchased perlite and made a hempy bucket. (5 gallon bucket) Super easy to learn/grow with that system btw. In conclusion, dont believe everything online about cannibus/farming and dont over think it. Happy farming..if my pics posted thats Loco at 4 week flowering and thats some starts growing in compost w/ 2 100w

Four SFV crosses in traditional Hempys at around six weeks.
I was given a couple LED lights to try out, one of them being a Mars 11 1600 so I threw these 4 plants under it.
Will be interesting to see what happens as I've no experience growing with LED lights.

These Prophet/SFV plants throw huge fans.

Sorry about that. Didnt take scale into consideration. Those are 3 gallon buckets and the plants would be about three feet tall if I hadnt performed monstrous acts of bondage on them which bent them completely over allowing all the interior nodes to send up branches, turning the plants into bushes with multiple tops.
The plants are Grindhouse Prophet x (SFV x DMT). I get two phenos out of the seeds. One is bushy with the monster fans and the other is a gangling vined narrow leaf with purple stems. The larger fan pheno if left to it's own devices always wants to produce a bushy bottom half with a tall lone leader shooting its way up as the top.
Like this.

This time around I've tried to prevent that from happening with a heavy dose of fim and LST.

Wild looking plant. Looks like she finishes well. The wide bottom seems difficult to work with. The heavy training seems like the move

Cranking along at about 30 days. Caught them sleeping, lights off.
Ran out of the H&G nutes I was using, just A & B with Floraliscious+ .
Now they are getting 3.5 gr Maxibloom and 1ml Floraliscious+ /gallon .
Ive got two gangly plants with red stems that smell heavily of grapefruit and the other two are bushy monsters that are straight up lemon bombs.

You can see the two red stemmed plants on the right.

Does anyone know where to find 1 or 2 gallon containers without drainage holes online?

I've been growing Hempy SOG out of 2 liters for years but now that I am legal I am wanting to opt for actual nursery pots but it has been a hell of a lot harder to find pots online without drainage holes...

Check Craigslist for free buckets. The res usually something listed that can be converted to hempys.
