The Official Hempy Bucket Thread

Hands down hand water. However I'm also only watering 15 buckets at a time tops. Anything more than 20 or so would get annoying quick.

I tried a hempy with chimera snazzleberry.

Left it original with a hole 2 inches high, perlite on bottom, coco on top.

I added a hose to hand water easily as I have chronic back pain and don't like lifting water under the canopy.

The tub below just catches the water waist.

Canna coco a & b nutes.

When doing hempy in 2 litter bottles that are green witu mountain dew or sprite do you need to paint or color the exterior to prevent root rot or bad bacteria?

Do what you can to keep light away from the root area. Either paint them or tape up the outside of the container with black duct tape.

I like hempy buckets, I also like that delta9 guys ppk design. pretty simple!

If I could get some turface I'd try the ppk.

Everyone I've attempted something with a res, I end up with massive swings in the solutions that I just couldn't keep track of. But then again, I'm a keep it simple guy and don't have 4 hours per day every day to dedicate to pH / EC checks and buffering solutions and and and and.... I'll stick with hempy original design and keep chugging along without the headache.

Have you tried with jacks hydro nutes with calcnit? That seems to be what works for everyone with very little swings.

But if hempys work for you then keep on rocking them. While ppk's are basically fool proof, hempys aren't too far off and if you're home enough to check if they need water then it's not like a hempy is easy to really mess up. It's kind of a pain to set up the ppk with having to source the res under the plant, setting up float valve and smaller hole to make sure you don't get too much refilled during the pulse, setting up the pulse, dealing with taller pot height (pot plus air gap plus res). I mean it's not really a pain, but compared to buying a cheap bucket and drilling ONE hole, it is a pain lol

I plan to grow coco hempy and I want to know is this size perlite is good for my res. . Or I need to get bigger?

Should be fine. I use the smaller stuff with great success so just basing off of my experience.
