You need help.... (intense, brutal, one on one kind of help.... the kind of help i cannot provide)

If you had even a 10 year old's grasp of statistics you would notice that Iceland has 5,468 cases per million, but they only have a TOTAL of 1,866 cases because their population is 364,000.

There is no need to 'extrapolate' because it's already factored in.

That is all cases per million which is not a good measure when so many of those countries have populations which are so much smaller than the US. Iceland for instance doesn't have anywhere close to one million people. France has a population that is only 1/5th of the US. Try extrapolating any of these countries to a proportional population size and you will whatch their rates dramatically rise while ours whould stay the same.

Nice try though.
You are wrong when you say the US is doing the best. It isn't even doing well.

If you scroll down it has US as 6th highest per 100,000 population.

Judging by the graph shared by Deep State, we see that there are 1,582,907 active cases of which 15,198 are critical. That means we are looking at a possible mortality rate 'high' of 0.96 percent if none of these critical cases make it. Of course, with many of those people expected to survive particularly with treatments. That death rate forecast is devastatingly low. I'm afraid the Deep State is going to have to up that body count somehow, before people start to ask those pesky questions no one wants to answer.

If one compares Iceland with a state that has a similar size population, such as South Carolina,
It becomes more clear.
We have under 200 new cases in Iceland over the past 2 weeks,

South Carolina in the same period has in excess of 15,000.

How many tests have been administered since the decline of flu season?? Under Trump, testing is at 600,000 per day. Over 40,000,000 tested so far.

Roughly the same size and poulation
Not looking so bad ...
Just saying it's a flawed theroy.

Had you checked my numbers you
would have found that they were
eyeballed -and actually understated.
Can well understand why you find them
disturbing. I do not think they would put
a smile on anyone's face.

It's a metric that can be used either way.
Therefore invalid ...
overall having been living through this pandemic lite
Being considered an essential worker my life has changed very little...
I think after taking it all under consideration
POTUS handled it pretty well ,reguardless of what I read here
suffice it to say I haven't read a compelling argument to the contrary.

The numbers cited are not a theory, nor are they invalid, they are viable and reflect an honest description or snapshot.
I do realize that every thing is relative to one's perspective, and wish you the best of a nice evening.

US ranked 52nd worst fatality rate here: https://graphics.reuters.com/CHINA-HEALTH-MAP/0100B59S39E/index.html
(Or 175th best depending on how you want to look at it I guess).

You see the line graph that shows the cumulative US deaths? Now imagine a line next to it that shows number of cases. What happens to the scale when the US continues testing at 600,000 tests per day. Now that flu season is pretty much over, they no longer have the surplus of dead bodies or 'COVID victims.'

Anyway, just grab the popcorn and watch what happens next...

I'm not a patriotic America, and to me he comes off as a smug, pompous wanker.... much along the lines of a right wing Lawrence O'Donnell or Rachel Maddow.

They're all manipulative.

This is raw Tucker (not high paid Fox TV, weaponized manipulative Tucker) -

He's the exact same thing you try to label people in this thread.

Born wealthy, will inherit millions or hundreds of millions (iirc), over opinionated trash.

He rants about not wanting to shut up and be told anything and in the same breath wants other to just shut up and do what he says. Inspiring stuff.

Maybe there is an online stats course Hempty could take. It is mandatory for most degrees.
