There is nothing better than a long, long growing Thai. The high can be soaring and electric. My buddy use to have an 18 weeker...that was the best plant I ever smoked period.

If you can stand it I would let it go until it tells you it is completely done...not the easiest thing in the world to do. The "tester" buds will be amazing...but let it go to some amber, then jar it up and let it cure a few months.

I mean, this thing is all about patience right???

I ate some cookies from that thing one time. I got that time and space distortion thing really strong. And my dumb ass got to watching a clock and thinking if this thing stops I will be dead. And then I got to thinking...fuck it, if this is dead it is great. From that day on I have never been sure if I really exist anymore or I am just in dreaming the dream of the dead. Either way...it ain't bad.

Yep...I like me some Thai.

Sounds like some mushies I ate not too long ago!

She's got a whole corner to herself and will be left to do her thing - cant wait....but I will.....

Are you getting any vanilla smells yet?

Your plant probably won't have much in the way of citrus going on but more along the lines of vanilla, orchids, musk and sandalwood. Pretty exotic...

Suggestions on how to use some flax seeds I found in my cupboard? Living mulch in my no till? Worm food? I'm unsure how they work for sprout tea since they're so mucilogenous.

They work well but you have to sprout them differently as you noted, i.e. mucilaginous like chia seeds and many others.

Take a piece of cloth and get it wet. Wring it out and fold 2 times making a book. Spread the seeds on the open book & spray them with water to raise the moisture level a bit and close the book. Check on them every few hours to make sure the cloth isn't drying out too fast.

Flax seeds are a nutrient powerhouse and you'll be wanting to do this in the future. Chia seeds are another good choice as well Coriander seeds (Cilantro).

So with Chia your basically sprouting on a towel like cannabis, and once the taps shoot out you begin your fermentation? I have a huge back of Chia, I've been grinding them and adding to my soil for a while now.

It's been a while since I've done a sprout tea, I used garden beans last night and my girls were praying for student loans leaf n right.

That all sounds about right, I have a hard time pinpointing the unique/exotic aromas, I know musk would be a word I would have included....the big 12week plant has a more 'spicy' smell that bites at the nose while the 10week plant lacks that but has more pronounced smells as you described...

Could you post a photo of this specific plant? I ran VR for 3 or 4 years 'way back when' and it was also grown by several people that I was associated with - both indoor and outdoor. The outdoor plants went f*cking nutz - copious amounts of water definitely required. LOL

Thanks, CC. So the flax snot won't cause any problems in my tea? That was my main concern as I know you rinse regular seeds off after the soak, before they sprout.

If 'tea' means an AACT then I can't answer that question. I would be inclined to not include it in this type of tea, i.e. just soak the sprouts, dilute and apply by itself.

Sorry, should have been clearer.

Nope, not an AACT. Just sprouts, blend, dilute and water in like you've described elsewhere.

I'm heading in to town shortly and will grab a few supplies and barley is definitely on the list.

CC - VR x NLH #5 @ 70 days - all flower tops are the same on the plant, thus one picture, plant's more compact in nature, but managed fat/dense foot long colas anyways

Eastern Redbud Flower Tea

Eastern Redbud Flower Tea

Spring is in the Air... Flowers are blooming, plants are growing,
and wild botanical harvesting opportunities for the OLS fanatic are ALL over the place!

Not to mention the baby Nettles, Dandelion and Chicory to be found everywhere,

The Eastern Redbud trees in my yard are blooming and I managed to harvest a bucket full of fresh flowers. These flowers were used by Native Americans in salads, and contain beneficial Flavonoids like Anthocyanin and Quercetin. I will bubble the flowers for 24 hours, and feed the strained leftovers to my worms. Ill use the resulting tea as a diluted soil drench, and plan to experiment with a foliar as well.

I bet a couple of you guys have some of these trees around...:thank you:

That's the 20% pheno I was talking about. Lucky you...

Over the next 2 weeks or so you'll be getting some very different aromas from her. Keep up the weekly SST & Fulvic acid teas right up through harvest. This will increase the resin set and start looking for very tall trichromes as well.

Definitely the one I would look for if I were germinating VR seeds.
