Kmarpa. Everything sounds good except the drawing air from bottom and having intakes in the top. I guess your thinking that smaller chamber would need coolest air but this would require ducting which would take up valuable space. I would just put intakes in both chambers of proportionate size for chamber. This would give both chambers fresh air with no ducting needed. Or just do what most do and put intakes in bottom and blow out top with venting between chambers which all three designs need. If you have filter on top you can also put fan on top and save that much more space.

Thanks Sumo,

I am putting the pieces together this morning and will replace the back with plywood.
I am going to put my plants in ( as advised in this thread) and then see where the holes should go. I was hoping to keep the smell down. Even the bonsai mums smell.

I will surf through the thread a little more. So if I have passive venting in both chambers, there will still be enough draw from the blower through the can to kill most of the smell?

Thanks Sumo...

right on thanks for the input on the pc fans cept i tried it out and it just wasnt cutting in so i went to my craft store and got a glass tube and a 5 inch to 4 inch reducer from home depot and made a cool tube ish thing but im still having heat issues i cant seem to get the temps in the cab below 85 at plant level and my buds seem to be stretching out and getting fluffy instead of dense? any ideas are welcome i also dont have much space to work with i have a c1 cabinet so its a little narrow i was thinking of getting an aircooled hood but i dont have room i dont think

i'm looking into getting a sunsystem vented hood (i.e. hood with tempered glass etc).
This is where i get ocnfused, i hook up say a vortex fan to the hood, but does the hood have an opening to suck in air from the cab?

They usually have a 2nd opening on the other side or the glass has an opening in to let in air.

cool, ill go with the C24,I have a large walk-in closet that this will fit in nicely.

Im thinking ill be able to vent into the ceiling, which will help keep things cooler.

The C22/24 is a bit too gangly for my taste. They are super-long. Don't you guys think that 400W in a C25 is almost perfect???...perfect being 400W in a C13 (which my dumb-ass trashed before I found out that they discontinued the C13).

Anyway, I've seen pics of dudes like Sumo growing some thick, dense, tasty-looking plants in a C25. All I'm saying is that there's no need to go overboard. But then again, what do I know?

a 400 watt in a c13 is not that perfect IMO. the heat is a big issue of course. i would have to say a 600w in a c24 is like a 400w in a c13 you just get more bud with the same issues. i have a 400w in a c13 and i know someone with a 600w in a c22. he blows me away. the heat may be a bigger issue but just get a bigger fan. Now if stealth is a issue...........i would do a c13 with a 250w. just my opinion

I flower using a 600 watt in my c-24. temps are only about 3* above ambient, I use a daystar ac hood with a vortex 449cfm fan. I use four 4" holes for the intakes.

400w and a C-25 works very well for me :joint:

NL 62 days. 150g wet, if I lose 75% to water etc I should still end up with about 35g. Not bad for an untrained plant under 2ft tall IMO
