I hope you have your terminology mixed up and not your actual intakes and outlets. We hope you are blowing into filter. If you are sucking through filter the filter would have to be inside cab to filter out odors. I used that carbon impregnated foam filter stuff for a couple grows. Works better than nothing but I love my DIY sun is shining true carbon filter.bongkong said:I have a carbon filter duct-taped to the intake of the fan. I hope that little carbon particles don't get everywhere and ruin my grow.

Here is my C25
As you can see, I'm using a Stanley fan. The reflector is a little big for my cab (it used to go inside of a proper sunlight supply cool sun reflector, which I used to house in my C13...but my dumb@ss threw away the C13 before I knew that they were discontinued). I have a carbon filter duct-taped to the intake of the fan. I hope that little carbon particles don't get everywhere and ruin my grow.
Here is the back of the cab
I built a scrubber using this method: http://www.gardenscure.com/420/secu...tivated-carbon-filter.html?highlight=scrubber
I have no idea if the scrubber works yet. I'll let you know as soon as I find out (i.e. enter 12/12). I built this scrubber because it seemed a heck of a lot easier than the common DIY scrubber. I truly pray that this method works for such a large cabinet (it was intended for a little 60cfm fan).
And now, a pic of something that almost made me cry. I phucked up putting some shelving over my darkroom vents. I thought I could get away with eye-balling the drywall shelving pins, but I ended up severly misaligning them. The middle one holds practically all of the weight. I felt like such an IDIOT after doing this. Carlos Mencia would have screamed Dee Dee Dee at me. I should have drawn a line with a straight edge and then drilled my holes. I suck at DIY. Then again, live and learn.
I need to order another reflector, because right now, my light bulb socket is held to the reflector by a thin bead of silicone. I know, I know, I'm a dumb@ss, but my plants really needed to be transplanted. I had them vegging in a C4 (which I will have to completely redo to reduce the sound...maybe I'll buy one of those panasonic whisper fans....there goes another c-note) and I thought they were risking getting root bound. They were only in 1.1 gallon containers. Speaking of which, does this look like root bound?:
Anyway, here is a pic of my plants that I just transplanted:
You'll see a little fan resting on in the middle of the pots. I need to add some more fans...but it's late, and I'm very tired right now. I'll improve this box as I go along. Any constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and if you're wondering how loud a Stanley fan is...let me just say this...the cabinet is in the adjacent room to my loft...and I'm typing this in my loft...and all I can hear is my d@mn computer fans. I'm not saying that the Stanley fan is SUPER quiet...but it certainly isn't bad at all!

I don't know what "FF of OF" means, but if they were only in 1.5 gallon pots, you are violating the well-known rule of 3/4 gallon to 1 gallon of soil per 1ft. Your plants MUST have been root bound. I mean, I don't know how else you could get around that...unless FF of OF means you were doing hydro. Maybe root bound isn't that big of a problem after all?
