400w and a C-25 works very well for me :joint:

NL 62 days. 150g wet, if I lose 75% to water etc I should still end up with about 35g. Not bad for an untrained plant under 2ft tall IMO

That's pretty good man. Are those Nirvana NL? I grew it out once and it held weight really well. Not to mention I had no idea what I was doing (I had never read anything about growing pot at all) and burned up everything, yet they still produced and yeilded well.

The sad thing is I was using miracle grow, burned the fuck out of them and it was my first grow, yet it's the best yeilding plant I've ever grown.
The smoke was good, got a little old after a while though!

Enjoy! NL is a damn good strain!

Natural thanks dude! I'm not sure who's NL this is, but I know its not Nirvana. A friend gave me this strain in clone form about 6 months ago, and I know he bought fem seeds. I've been growing more of her than anything. I do have an unopened pack of Nirvana NL somewhere...
I've smoked a fair amount of bud that was called NL...this is by far the best I've had. Real nice fruity/earthy taste, and great bag appeal. She is the standard that everything else I grow is compared to. Lucky pheno maybe...?

The twins yesterday(NL)...day 53 & 55

Locked and Loaded

Locked and Loaded

First off, mad props and much love to Sumo and TheScissors. Without them, I would have destroyed the cab in frustration (and probably broken my hand in the process).

Here is my C25

As you can see, I'm using a Stanley fan. The reflector is a little big for my cab (it used to go inside of a proper sunlight supply cool sun reflector, which I used to house in my C13...but my dumb@ss threw away the C13 before I knew that they were discontinued). I have a carbon filter duct-taped to the intake of the fan. I hope that little carbon particles don't get everywhere and ruin my grow.

Here is the back of the cab

I built a scrubber using this method: http://www.gardenscure.com/420/secu...tivated-carbon-filter.html?highlight=scrubber

I have no idea if the scrubber works yet. I'll let you know as soon as I find out (i.e. enter 12/12). I built this scrubber because it seemed a heck of a lot easier than the common DIY scrubber. I truly pray that this method works for such a large cabinet (it was intended for a little 60cfm fan).

And now, a pic of something that almost made me cry. I phucked up putting some shelving over my darkroom vents. I thought I could get away with eye-balling the drywall shelving pins, but I ended up severly misaligning them. The middle one holds practically all of the weight. I felt like such an IDIOT after doing this. Carlos Mencia would have screamed Dee Dee Dee at me. I should have drawn a line with a straight edge and then drilled my holes. I suck at DIY. Then again, live and learn.

I need to order another reflector, because right now, my light bulb socket is held to the reflector by a thin bead of silicone. I know, I know, I'm a dumb@ss, but my plants really needed to be transplanted. I had them vegging in a C4 (which I will have to completely redo to reduce the sound...maybe I'll buy one of those panasonic whisper fans....there goes another c-note) and I thought they were risking getting root bound. They were only in 1.1 gallon containers. Speaking of which, does this look like root bound?:

Anyway, here is a pic of my plants that I just transplanted:

You'll see a little fan resting on in the middle of the pots. I need to add some more fans...but it's late, and I'm very tired right now. I'll improve this box as I go along. Any constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and if you're wondering how loud a Stanley fan is...let me just say this...the cabinet is in the adjacent room to my loft...and I'm typing this in my loft...and all I can hear is my d@mn computer fans. I'm not saying that the Stanley fan is SUPER quiet...but it certainly isn't bad at all!

Nice post. I am trying to keep my new cab stealth so I want the fan inside. It's kind of joke with the humming though eh? I am waiting for some new parts until I post here for feedback, but this thread has been great!

Thanks for all the great input everyone. This is what grow sites should be all about.

Peace.

I hope you have your terminology mixed up and not your actual intakes and outlets. We hope you are blowing into filter. If you are sucking through filter the filter would have to be inside cab to filter out odors. I used that carbon impregnated foam filter stuff for a couple grows. Works better than nothing but I love my DIY sun is shining true carbon filter.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Ok I see you also have filter material on fan intake. Don't worry about carbon particles, they are harmless. If you smoke you smoke carbon. That is what the last of a bowl is after all the resin has burned.

Very nice cab you had some good teachers I see.........Just a question on the filters covering your Darkroom vents. Why not put them in between the louvers? :joint:

looking good man! dont give me too much credit as i can barely tie my own shoes without reading the manual! :moon: :bat: i see you solved the shelving issue, and YES that lil bitch was rootbound as hell! one thing i hope you did, as i forgot to mention, but those outside bound-up roots should be cut up/slightly shredded before you transplant, it helps the plant grow new roots into the new fresh soil/medium.

the perlite and peat hopefully will not clog yer pipes! mine havent clogged yet, but next time i am going to go 100% hydro!! ;)

 :lurk: :joint:

Mysta177, you are right. I should have put the filters in between the darkroom vents. That was my original intention, but I forgot that I could unscrew them when I installed them. I unscrewed them when I originally received them, but then completely forgot about it.

Sumo, yeah, I put carbon on the intake (inside the box) and around the scrubber on the back of the cab. I hope that this "double duty" will help. My little veg cab smelled like skunk (even when the freaking plants were in veg) and now the room with the C25 cab smells like an old man's coat. I'd rather have an old man smell than a weed smell = )

Friends, countreymen, give me some blueberry seeds!!!

Oh, and putting a Stanley fan inside of a C25 takes up too much real estate for my liking. I like to grow tall trees. My first harvest in a C13 was 8 ounces with 3 trees. My subsequent harvests with 4 females ~28" tall averaged 4.5 to 5 ounces. I know that it is common knowledge that short bushy plants yeild the most. I guess I live in a parallel universe, because 36" tall trees are my ticket.

Peace,
BK

You can do it. I have a 6in fantech and can take that light ALL the way to the top with my light at a 45 deg angle. If you want stealth this is the way to go IMHO. :joint:

Hey folks.

Hey folks.

I grew some Nirvanna NL in 1.8 gallon square pots of FF OF

I had 4 flowering in my 5 sq ft cab. They were about 24 inches tall when I flowered them.

11-12 zips under the 400 hps.I think the T5's helped though. NNL is good smoke and a good yeild. Peace CF

Cabanetforester, if you STARTED to flower your plants when they were 24" tall, they must have ended up pretty darn tall. I don't know what "FF of OF" means, but if they were only in 1.5 gallon pots, you are violating the well-known rule of 3/4 gallon to 1 gallon of soil per 1ft. Your plants MUST have been root bound. I mean, I don't know how else you could get around that...unless FF of OF means you were doing hydro. Maybe root bound isn't that big of a problem after all?

I harvested two of these a week apart, but my computer crashed and I lost all the pics from the first one.

Here she is right before harvest, and then a after-trim bud shot :yummy: 273g wet, if I lose 80% I'm at 55g :joint:

(click here \/ its worth it...)

Well I went and did the math on the pots (7x7x9*). Seems they are closer to 2 (1.8) gallons than 1.5, my bad.

The plants were 20-24" inches tall when I flowered them. They stretched about 1-1 1/2 feet if I remember correctly.

Topped them at 5th or 6th node.

I filled 12 wide mouth mason jars (quart size) I didn't weight it alll exactly to the last gram. I did weigh 11 zips. Best estimate is probably 11.5 zips.

Those are (2) 2'x1' 4 bulb T5 lights hanging vertically on the side.

FFOF is short for Fox Farms Ocean Forest. I also watered with PBP,BigBud and Overdrive and flushed with clearex.

They were probably rootbound as the roots were all smashed up against the sides of the planter. They were getting about a gallon of water/nutes a day in flower.

This was my first grow and all I did was follow the rules as best I could with what I had. I might have been lucky, but it really was not that difficult.

The cabinet is not a mills pride either. It measures 24"x30"x84"

Only seed plants are grown in pots of FFOF as were the NNL.

I mostly grow hydro (DWC) now with clones in a small closet under a 600 on a light mover.

Sory if you can't believe it Sumo. Don't know what else to tell ya. Maybe get a vented hood.
