Hello all!

Hello all!

Great cabs and plants everyone.

Cut and hung these Shiskaberry July 28th and trimmed into paper bags today.

My C13 is taking a rest right now while I get some clones started. I will cut 8 each of Jack Herer, Flo and Blueberry and which every 6 look the best in a couple of weeks will get to flower.

Peace from the Island.

NICE dwtc. Looks like a well thought out cab for sho. Is that a reflector and a cooltube or some kind of air cooled hood?

 thanks.took alot of lurking at OG. was inspired by the c13 thread there.

yes that is a reflctor over the cool tube.

p.s. the plants are sourdiesle ibl, sagmartha blueberry, bog's lifesaver, gn03 c99f2, pure kush co. og kush bx1.

funny thing is after 3 or 4 years i'm still tweakin the damn thing. thinkin about getting another cage fan for light :chin: .

will shoot a few pics yall's way tommorrow before i take clones,,,,,,,,,dwtc

If you're like me you're NEVER done tweaking.. always trying something new, bigger, better, etc. I'm finally putting the guts into my cab, 6" vortex, air cooled 400w HPS etc.. Working out some kinks and getting the details taken care of before I strip it all down and light proof etc.

Well it wouldn't help my rep to let my ladies live in obscurity. Yet another successful grow of buds, Ice this time ,despite summer temps and all. If Ice can't keep cool what can? The plant in middle is hanging. Got a little mold on buds which I caught early and decided to get her moldy ass out of there. Cutting the rest anytime. Hi Hash. Good to see you are still rocking the c13. Think I got you on yield this time but you probably have some good outdoor going to supplement your harvest which I do not. Good to see all of the cabs. No two are alike. They are all customized to builder's desires. If you bought a pre frabricated box you would pay much more or get much less.

so true. i could have paid 3000 dollars for the same space as a kit. :fsu:

i only paid around 400 to 500 dollars for my setup. got a boat with the 2500 dollars i saved doin it myself(WITH A HOLE LOTTA HELP FROM OG.COM AND HERE).

im planning to set up a similar grow somtime in autumn.

im curious as to how noisy the centrafugal fans are. the cab will be in my bedroom, and i dont want an annoying sound running 24/7, let alone the suspicion it might raise.

i want to run a 400wHPS and a 250-300 cfm fan, not sure which brand/model to choose.

how noisy are they, and which brand are the quietest?

sumo, that cola is huge!

My last grow of 6 Shiskaberries (4 gal.) yielded 6 OZs with the 250W. I think you got me beat this time for sure.

I do have a couple of plants in the great outdoors and in a greenhouse which are huge! Nothing like the sun to help out.

Peace.

Cool, didn't realize it was a 250w this time. Great yield for 250w. Yea that bud was so big it was fermenting in the middle. I was worried about bud rot but got this oxidising thing going on in that the middle was real dark brown and smelled like columbian. I've pulled it all apart where affected and it is drying. Will be interesting to see if it is any good this way. Just missed it molding I think. There was no musty smell and no hairs growing yet. It really looks like Columbian the way they let it fully oxidize like black tea. We all grow the green tea in that we don't allow it to oxidize for fear of mold. It is a fine line between Gourmet and rot.

Hi everybody

I read in another thread that they no longer make the "c-13" and when I went to the Mills website it didn't have any solo cabinets for sale only full room setups ...

My question now is what is similar to a c-13 that can still be purchased and where can i do this purchasing ??

thanks

First of all i wanna say, Great clean setups for the most part. And great buds for 250/400 watt setups...

Just wondering... Do you guys run your power cords and your entire grow from a 120v or 240v sockets... How many amps... Any breaks?

Hello guys, after lurking for a while I decided to register, so here goes my first post...

I have been reading this thread for the last couple of days and have been convinced to get a C24. I want to plan out every little detail before I go out and buy materials, and I was wondering what you guys use for moving the shelf containing the plants up and down? I have come up with something using 2 strips of wood with holes drilled, but it seems overly complicated...can anyone offer some insight?

Go get some L shaped shelf holders. They are basically little metal studs with a L bracket on. Then get a piece of wood to fit (48" x 18" I believe) and use it as a shelf. I did it in the C25 (smaller model) and it works well. The cabinet should already be drilled to take shelf holders, the C25 is. The L holders can be found in the hardware section of Home Depot in a box of about 8.

I saw some shelving systems today at HD. I also took a look at the cabinets for the first time in real life, and they are bigger than I thought...

The C24 is the bigger model and the C25 is the smaller one...I am contemplating which one to get...I have been leaning towards the C24 because I could take the middle divider off and have massive space, but I am very attracted to the small size of the C25...

I will be running a 400w HPS cooltube with a stanley blower for exhaust, should I go for C24 or C25?

Cant go wrong with the c24, and the 400 will give off some heat even in the cooltube, so you mine as well go for the c24. . .

Any limits you need to keep in mind>? otherwise, bigger has better options for growth =)

speaking of c24's would a 6" vortex need more air than 3 4in. darkroom louvers can produce>? they have a great price for them right now 24$. .

any thoughts on this, im sure there is some type of scientific formula =P

Well, right now I am in the middle of a Power Plant grow, 6 days into flower that is, and space is tight as hell. I know that this strain is naturally inclined to be on the tall sativa side, but I am getting so frustrated with the growth (shouldn't it be the other way around?????
:joint:

I guess I will go with the C24 just to leave my options open like you said. I am going to be reading up a lot on scrog and other techniques to keep my plants short in future grows..

scrog is pretty sweet, but ive had better luck with LST and stivas (me personally, im sure others can do wodnerfully with scroggin a sativa diva =P )

but ya, space can be a problem with those big gals =P and the large cab will defiantely help with that!

I would go with 4 of the louvers. reason being is if the louvers were wideopen 3 would be fine, but those louvers use multiple layers to filter the light so you definatly will have some restrictions. infact you would be bettter off with 2 8" louvers. that would give you 128sq inches of intake. a 6" hole is about 32 sq". even with the restriction of the layers your intake would double your output.
