I had this summer 3 Coljam males and one of them, the longest flowering with the thinnest leaves wouldnt drop pollen
Satva also said he had a sterile Coljam male but I dont know if his was because wouldnt drop pollen or pollen didnt make seeds
How common is this in sativa males?

Hello funkyhorse, it is the first time that I have a male sativa that does not shed pollen, but if in the past I had a male blueberry from dj'short that did not shed pollen either.

By selfing ? Do you mean inbreeding the F1 like Sam . Or do you mean feminising ?
The G13 Hz C were IBLs from Mr Nice .

I said G13 Hz C male from Shanti .
Why would you ask about feminizing ?

Why would shanti have a G13HzC male around that was sterile or do you mean you found a male plant in seed from Mr nice.
The way you guys use Selfing and fem would confuse the ave Joe. In a normal world selfing is using pollen from the same plant on itself. Any other use is not selfing. Inbreeding is from the same line but when using the same plant that is selfing. Thats how I will always refer to its use.

Sterile plants are that way because they have some sort of a genetic anomaly. This genetic anomaly doesn’t produce pollen or produces pollen that is not in the right size or shape in male plants but produces short female pollen tubes or misshaped tubes in female flowers. This genetic sterility can express itself through natural mutation or can also be induced chemically and is used for many different plant species in feminized seed and female only plant production.

ive grown a bunch of mns g13 hazes and used a few in crosses i had no idea of the true pedigree so its g13 x haze C ibl , still trying to understand the A an Cs,good to know thanks

I kept the G13 Hz male after Nevil recommended it to me as a breeding plant .
I was bummed when it didn`t make pollen .
I won another pack of G13 Hz in a bud of the month comp with one of the females .
The difference between the IBL G13 Hz and Haze hybrid F1s from Mr Nice was quite noticeable in the vigour . And less pheno spread .
