Most of what we talk about in this thread is actually haze hybrids. nev haze, ssh, mango haze, orig haze x skunk etc..etc.. all hybrids of varying degrees most of which being 50% or less of actual haze.
Does anybody know how that Phylos Bioscience works?
If yes, would you mind investigating how the relation is between Haze samples and if it contains other genetics besides Colombian?
If the samples doesn't a show a close relation between Mexican, Thai and Indian besides Colombian, I think it would then be safe to say that it's pure Colombian or if not that it's a 4-way cross.
Well, the answer is complex:wait a second....
You mean a bunch of people don't recall exactly what went down in the haze of all things..... 30, 40, 50 years ago from their youths..... Is it possible some of these stories got some nostalgic spin to them also, you know like everyone's do....It's a human mechanism to remember the past more fondly than it was, recall the good vs all the bad, placing more importance on oneself........
To assume any of these guys were free of this wouldn't be human nature.......... And some people are loose with the truth and can't help themselves but tell lies to begin with....... Couple with decades old, an easy mystery to last indefinitely of he said, she said.....
Look to your hands of today, and tomorrow and not of yesteryear, for only those things can we change.... And yes, we should learn from history
I went digging on phylos awhile back due to this thread. There's a handful of pure Columbian samples on there. I do recall 1 or 2 of them showing genetic relation to Thai and SEA varieties. If Haze was a pure Columbian or hybrid of Colombians their own potential ancestral recessives could be what shine through in haze and were selected by the haze bros.
Does anybody know how that Phylos Bioscience works?
My apologies, my message wasn't clearWell, the answer is complex:
- first of all, a good part of my adolescence is shrouded in mystery, I don't remember many things, and many things have not really gone as I remember them, do you know when you spend whole evenings with friends, beer, grass and LSD? And only twenty years have passed, or a little more ...
- but from the creation, true or presumed, of original haze, 50 years have passed, five decades of theories, hypotheses, denials, changes, it is not easy to take a certain position in a similar confusion ...
I wasn't in the world 50 years ago, I have no idea what was the Colombian used in o.haze, but I smoked a bit of original haze, and I don't believe in the story "the real haze tastes of incense", I found the same incense flavor in some Afghan landrace, and I don't think the Taliban cultivated haze ....
My apologies, my message wasn't clear
I was agreeing with you and not speaking towards you but more in general and about the guys whom were part of the story, and there.... also human nature, in general
I was Saying the gentleman telling their stories (Sam, Nevil etc) don't recall them accurately, or flavor them up, embellish, have reason to stick to the originals stories (pride, even though those are waffled around with too) - In part for the exact reasons you just mentioned above, you must assume they were all partying quite hard, too - we know this... People's memories in general, of all things do this and saying all of ours are fallible and we also have to consider the fact that certain people just like to lie, too etc....
No offense or directness towards you intended buddy ... The story around haze is ambiguous indeed, I totally agree and that isn't ever changing........
And there are all types of terpenes in plants from all parts of the globe, and how those all interact along with more volatile things like thiols and such, make up what we smell... our memories play a part here too, our baselines......
Peace bro
How many people participating in this thread have actually grown pure unadulterated original haze?
The Haze thread is the other one.
This is the discussion thread.
And then there is a Haze hybrid thread

Well all this Haze talk has given me the push to buy a pack of MN Mango Haze. Won’t be able to try them till late this year depending on what Karma releases between now and then and IF I can get some before they get gobbled up the way toilette paper was recently and my new Super Lemon Haze is coming down in 5 days which I’m really hoping is as good as it looks and smells to me. Pretty sure it’s OK but compared to some of the haze plants out there it could be better. Some of you growers that have been at this a lifetime have pics of such amazing looking plants it’s motivating to hope to get something even close to those results. Hats off.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating .
Its not about how photogenic the plant is . Though not mutually exclusive .
I am a photography enthusiast . I like photos . But I can`t smoke em ...

"It is said that the best marijuana in the world is grown in Lebanon but is rarely smoked because the plants are made into hashish.
Funny you should post this Raco been thinking about Lebanese hash plants of late but not the ones sold commercially.
I wanted to work out and try and track down the strain they use or used to make the Blond hash we got in the late 70s early 80s here.
