I see more dep hoop houses in your garden Pono, I like it. Hope that worked out well for you.

I put up a nice light dep greenhouse, and didn't re-fill it properly. However the dep run was great. Greenhouse is 8't x 12'w x 50'long. I am buying the best top of the line greenhouse from Farmtek, and install begins over the winter. It will be a fully automated blackout greenhouse, 30'w x 200'l x 15'T. Stoked!

sap ph and high brix are the truth though, i couldn't find a spider mite or any other kind of mite if i tried. its almost weird how theres no mites this year, dont want to jinx myself but damn they are just not interested in my plants this year. everything is still lush green compared to last year when i had early yellowing from the norcal blend. we are using less amendment than last year too….not even doing many foliar feeds, foliars strictly reserved for pest and mold prevention this year. all food has been through topdressing and a couple teas.

I totally agree with the high brix and sap ph of 6.4 approach. However, when my plants had a brix of 18, and a plant sap of 6.3, I still had a broad mite attack. Sprayed every three days with neem for 30 days, then went nuclear before flower started. Bugs are gone, but I was amazed that the broad mites were still able to infect my plants during peak health.

Anybody else have this happen?

Broad mites seem to be the result of chemical pesticides over the last 20 years. They didn't die with my neem regimen, and I even dunked a branch for 5 minutes in a neem solution. Scoped 4h, 8h, 24h and 48 hours later, and the bugs didn't die. That is when I went nuclear on those bugs! Broad mites is the only bug in my 15+ years of growing I wasn't able to ride with organic methods. When looking under the scope, I was expecting little bugs with Iron Man suits on.

broad mites can shower in organic pesticides and seem to like it lol...only systemic application of several "bad" pesticides will kill them. honestly i hate to ever even use shit like avid so i prefer to just throw away and kill infected plants and start fresh. luckily havent seen them in the grows for a few years now *knocks on wood* just seen some hemp russet that randomly pops up out of nowhere once and a while, all about visually checking as many branches and leaves as possible on every plant in the garden on a daily basis to catch it early.

Growing in a greenhouse I haven't seen a single bud worm and I have oaks all over the place. The bud worms are brought around by those pretty white butterfly looking things and they also repel from the oaks--sometimes you can see all the silk lines.

Glad to see you back adding your comments 50yardline!

Thanks man! I am back with an adjusted attitude. Made some huge changes in my life in the last 5 years, most in the last 18 months. I am a different person, and I hope to show it. No more negativity.:tiphat:

Would like to see BYF back here again as well!

Changed attitude is good- I find it a constant process, never finished working on the moment......:artist:
