I'd consider some Bat boxes with that area and the type of insects, Fuck the Dusty(ing).

ive had a couple serious conversations about implementing bats into IPM buts its harder than it sounds. they need a dedicated open water source close by so if you have a pond it could work, but theres no garuntee they will stay close by. also the bat boxes themselves are pretty hard to install and to keep at constant warm temperature.

YP: did you use BTK earlier in the season before any cats/damage were appreciated, or just as a knockdown afterwards?

I went up for a fight today and was shocked at how many gardens had popped up this year! And the overall health of gardens was amazing too.. Afterwards I got to tour some gardens of a local grower I have alot of respect for View Image

Holy shit...that's the biggest plant I've ever seen!

What genetics is the master working with?

My condolences Pono.

At the risk of jinxing myself I've never had real cat issues here on the coast. Plenty of other issues to deal with though!

whats up man been a while!!

BT goes on as soon as nugs hit week 2-3, when they get the first signs of aroma and trichomes. and reapplication all the way through so that theres always a fresh layer of BT so that wherever they land on a plant or cola, the second they start eating they die. towards the end of flower i just back off everything and let it ride. i read that BT is solar sensitive and it loses its effectiveness if applied in strong sunlight so evening drenches especially during cloudy days is best.

I thought this would be interesting to try this season...

55gallon barrel painted white...air pump with 12 outlets, consolidated to a single line hooked up to an airstone rated for 20,000gal ponds. Shitty sunpath, maybe 6-7hrs of full sun but still killing it! The pic is from july. Looking chunky now.

As someone mentioned...hella tree frogs. I have an army of frogs living in the rootzone. They squeezed through the netpots at a young age, grew up, then couldnt get back out of the netpot. I believe they are keeping the rootzone bug free? I worried about their shit bubbling in the barrel like a tea for 3 months, but no adverse effects so far. Im guessing the frogs release some sort of enzymes from being slimy-ish, which probably helps as well. Idk...but its doing well!

And the other pic is the mediocre 6-7hr sunpath mini garden...mostly from seed in 200s. Sorry they are sideways, but dont really feel like struggling with fixing right now.

god i love this thread, no more spamming schrews thread for all our outdoor banter, yeah cats are a bitch this year, same with fruit flys and a little bit of leaf hopper action (they dont do much damage ime)

no real mite action to speak of (thank god!)

as a almost decade long indoor grower, i always frowned upon outdoor as inferior product, boy have i changed my mind, sure its easier to keep it clean indoor, outdoor= more dust,bugs,ect.. but the buds are looking FIRE, and prob a more rounded high and smoke with the natural sunlight.. im definately going to be doing both indoor and outdoor equally (if not way more outdoor in the future), still wondering if i should save up for indoor wharehouse (commercial power rates) or get property and a light dep greenhouse, decisions decisions.... (or more like dreams lol) any thoughts?
