The GWS went 54 days for us. Hugely frosty but a less than average yeild. When we first sampled it, there was a real ammonia taste to the smoke. Rotten tasting really and my first impression was ewwwwwww... not a keeper.
After a week of curing the taste softened out and we were left with real potent herb. REAL PoTeNt! After a few tokes, I could feel it coming..I went to make coffee... sat down to wait for a cup, realized I had forgotten to add the water to the machine, got up, forgot what I was supposed to be doing so I sat down, waited for the coffee, finally clued in that I needed to add the water, giggled myself silly in the kitchen and added the water....probably should have added coffee beans at that point too.
A nice stone.. just don't attempt algebra or anything. 
Here's the GWS fairly close to harvest. It probably could have handled more nutes when it was bud building but I was nervous about burning it.

Mites and other pests are a part of the hobby friend. I take pride in every one of my kills too
I'll slow them down at least. Erradication would be nice, and that's what I have planned, but we know not to count our chickens before our eggs hatch I thought the same thing awhile back about the BB being the suspects in my infestation. I took a look back over my grow log here and found it was Tangerine to first get attacked, before I even had BB.
The mites just really, really like the buzz and taste of BB
The dog is my new suspect for the carrier of mites. Even though he's not allowed in the growroom, I'm thinkin they piggybacked a ride on his furry ass.

Hopefully the Mikado in my cross can fatten up where the GWS lacks in yield, Mikado is supposed to be a heavy yielder.
Although I've never grown either out myself... I've found Mikado and Romulan to be a tad similar

I'm going to apologize in advance for the quality of my pics today. I was in a bit of a hurry and rushed things a bit (unlike me
)
We'll start off with ROOTS!
^ bad pic, I know...but those are roots on the Hempstar-3 cutting that was placed in water for sexing. I simply used a cup that wasn't transparent and covered the top with black duct tape over cling wrap no light to the root zone got me roots in water in 7 days under 12/12
I put this cutting in dirt now because it's yet to show sex still. Actually that whole cutting under 12/12 for pre-sexing didn't work out for me
I'm hoping it shows now that it's in dirt and rooted
We'll start with Blueberry since they are going into flower first

^^ They're in the flower buckets now to let their roots wander and bushing out nicely. Still growing with purple stems, but they are thickening up and the leaf growth is nice. Clones were taken about 4 days ago and are in the gel cube rooters.
Don't think these plants could veg any slower
odd strain.
Mite situation is much better for now. They'll get another Trounce application in a couple of days. No visible activity right now
We'll move on to the Hempstars
Hempstar-1
^^^ She's a lady! Green and healthy. Her future looks like 50 days or so in the veg box, so maybe some pruning/training may be in order.
Hempstar-2
^^^^ Taking along time to sex. Was placed in 12/12 6-7 days ago and still not showing. Freeze-1, which was placed in along side it already showed it's maleness, and was executed
This plant should show within days. It's cutting was culled when I placed the whole plant in box.
Hempstar-3
^^^^^ Still unsexed
I was really counting on that cutting to show me the sex on this one. The plant itself is still not showing on it's own, and the cutting has told me nothing. This plant will not fit in the veg box with the others, so it's the first to be flowered with the Blueberrys, if it's a female.

Man - nice mega update! You photo skills are getting real good - this is a really nice spread, great color on the photos! Focus comes and goes depending on how hurried I am, but the color is the tough thing to bring across. The whole garden looks sweet, I keep getting tempted to pick one or the other as a favorite, but can't as I like the looks of them all! Tonight that grape really moves me though, she looks like she'll be a Shrek sized football of bud!

just catching up on your thread, it's looking good. Nice roots on the clones. I have just been trying a few different ways to clone, a diy bubble cloner, straight in soil, and peat pellets, some with and some without rooting hormone(except the bubble cloner ones) and i don't see much difference in any style so far but with the blueberrys a few have been stubborn but seem to like the bubble cloner the best. Good luck with things. I hope the blueberrys are worth the trouble.

Chilly Willy - Welcome back...I hope you had a great holiday vacation.
I actually lied about the full out perpetual thing. I'm taking a little vacation in June, so I should get 2 harvests in by then After that though, it'll be full out.
The mites seem to be fully under control right now, and I'm glad of the positive effects of the Safer's Trounce. One more spray in a couple of days to kill anything that mite be hangin around.
Unfortunately, I still havn't been able to get DE here. It will be a nice weapon when I finally find some though.
Won't be long till the flowers come now my friend!
BF - I figured a good veg period was in order this time. Seems I was rushing the plants through the process just to have one ready for flower before. Good to take the time to do things proper
Indeed, BB is worth the trouble of slow growth, slow to root clones, and finicky growing. Potency alone makes up for it. The yield is good and taste and smokability is fabulous.

I had realized I updated the firmware on my camera and forgot to reset my manual settings so, it wasn't so much hurried photography...it was more me being a stoned dumbass 
That garden pic did turn out nice though

FGandalf - Blueberry has given me the most trouble rooting in the past but it's always worth the trouble

I changed the bulb already and programmed the timers. Flower starts today!
Hempstar-1, Grape, Freeze, and Hempstar-2 all fit in the veg box...but there is nowhere near enough room for 50 days worth of veg
seems if Hempstar-3 is a female, one plant will have to be culled Hempstar-1 looks like the unfortunate candidate right now, but we'll see how Hempstar-3 turns out first.
Worst part is I won't even have room for pot upgrades. They are in 1 - 1 1/2 gallon pots now, and will have to remain that way for the next 50 days if I can't figure something out

Hey TML looking good. Happy New Year.
Try a pool supply company for DE. It's almost the same as the expensive DE sold on line. It does work though, I used it last year in my Tin-can to keep the ants out and never had a problem after I top dressed my soil with the DE I use for my pool filter.

Hey TML sorry I haven't posted in a while..my own thread is even buried deep..I was gonna take pics yesterday..just to find the plants soil dry and leaves drooping..
They're back up and happy today..I did the early GMT topping too..I think I'm liking the ones I topped at the 2nd node better than the ones at the 1st..
overall growth is much more advanced..
DE from the pool supply(it's used as a filter medium) is slightly different in structure I think, but it will work..
Basically it's fossilized micro-organisms broken up..to the mite it's like walking though a field of razor blades that puntures & rips their exoskeletons..

I have 1 definate female of my early topped plants, the other is still unknown, so at least I'll get to see how well they do.
I've been doing quite the bit of reading on DE lately...so I know what I'm looking for now, thanks for the tips...I got some masks for extra precaution even when spraying the Trounce :smile:
Unfortunately culling 1 might be my only answer
either that or build a larger veg box I'd really like to keep my plant #'s minimal though. As much fun as it is to have variety...I keep having to remind myself I only need enough for me Don't keep too busy now, ya know...one of these days you'll hafta retire and grow fulltime

Seems when I set up my timer, I left it in the "on" position instead of "auto" which of course means my flowering bitches have been under 24 hours of light for the past 5 days
I was wonderin why that damn Hempstar-3 wouldn't show sex
I've been so busy this week, I didn't really get a chance to notice cuz I wasn't getting in till after lights on.
Blueberries have been growing like madwomen under the 24 hour schedule though, makes me wonder if they just don't like cooler temps
hehe...they're gonna be huuuge now
more bad news...
My 42W CFL in the flower room burnt out. Those things should last way longer than 10 months. grrr.
and even worse...
I'm seeing some mold build up in the veg box
Gonna hafta bleach it down today...re-paint it tommorrow which means my veg plants will hafta spend a few days on 12/12 in the flower room
A second 80mm computer fan exhaust will be added. I've never had 4 plants + clones in there before.
On a good note...
I bought a bag of Blueberry this week and it was phenomenal
Was much like my own and brought me back to a place I'll be back to soon I went through a 1/4 of that in a couple days though....like I said I had a rough week
I'll grab some pics when I get all this mess sorted out. I'll at least get some BB pics in very soon.
