Maguire didn't resign, tRUmp canned him because his deputy told the House Intel Committee that Russia was interfering with the election process again. tRUmp was mad, and told the Rs, the Ds would use this against him.

Moscow Mitch has also blocked every effort to stop Russian Interference going back to 2016

Another one bites the dust. Joseph Maguire Acting director of national intelligence resigns.

Man Its getting difficult to remember who the hell is running these high level positions in this admin.

I don't remember any President ever having the turnover in staff that Trump has.

And being called a Moron and an Idiot by his Secretary of State & Chief of Staff.

Now there's a Trivial Pursuit question - which Trump staffer called him a moron and which Trump staffer called him an idiot ?

I think Tillerson called him a Moron. Not sure if Kelly called him an idiot.

Anybody know ?

Wonder when the Slob is going to have his next Twitter meltdown?

While folks like 'Booger' are throwing memes around of crying libs, Trump is having tantrums every single day on twitter

He has tweeted roughly 15,000 tweets since becoming president, with roughly 8,000 last year, that's more than 20 a day in 2019 :biglaugh:

Very stable genius.

Hello all,

Speaking of debates....remember this little jewel:

Donald Trump, who claims to be the “best on the military” - because he is the best at everything, apparently has no idea what the nuclear triad is.

The revelation came during the Presidential Debate when conservative talk radio host Hugh Hewitt asked Trump a question about the need to modernize our nuclear forces.

Oddly enough, a description of the Nuclear Triad was embedded in Hewitt’s question, yet Trump still stumbled around the question, making almost no sense throughout his reply:

“The biggest problem this world has today is not President Obama with global warming, which is inconceivable, this is what he’s saying. The biggest problem we have is nuclear – nuclear proliferation and having some maniac, having some madman go out and get a nuclear weapon. That’s in my opinion, that is the single biggest problem that our country faces right now.”

From Trump’s response, it’s clear that he either:

a) has no idea what the nuclear triad is

b) or that he had no idea what the question was, and just decided to go with some sort of free-form jazz riff on the topic of “anything nuclear.”

But even after Hewitt threw Trump another clue on the nuclear triad, he replied with total gibberish.

HEWITT: Of the three legs of the triad, though, do you have a priority? I want to go to Senator Rubio after that and ask him."

TRUMP: "I think – I think, for me, nuclear is just the power, the devastation is very important to me."

Adding insult to bizarre injury, the exchange ended with Marco Rubio explaining the nuclear triad in detail.

Not even knowing what the Nuclear Triad is, let alone having an opinion on which legs need to be prioritized when it comes to expensive modernization, should disqualify Trump by his own requirement that "we need people who know what they're doing".

Does that make you felz safer?

phuquing moron....

I'm sure they would still be stoked and think it's 'locker room talk' if they found out it was their wives or daughter who he tried to pussy grab?

Mr D

Richard Grenell Director of National Intelligence.

Oxymoron.

Don't worry Kash Patel will be working with Grenell. Kash did some fine work helping to deconstruct the Russia hoax.

It does not seem accidental the appointment of Grenell as acting DNI comes after AG Bill Barr publicly displayed his weakness in managing the DOJ and FBI.

I’m sure that’s deliberate: “at the will of the President,” you know. Only room in the spotlight for the Empresario and faceless minions: if they have faces, they’re targets

Whaddya think: middle school? Younger?

There's faith in propaganda
And one hell of a lot of propaganda in ‘faith‘....

Well then - lets sift thru the definitions of socialism - so as to promote da edumacation - of those that are not educated about it -- the first one below - I got from Bing (not Crosby) -

socialism
[ˈsəʊʃəlɪz(ə)m]

NOUN
a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

synonyms:
leftism · Fabianism · syndicalism · consumer socialism · utopian socialism · welfarism · communism · Bolshevism · radicalism · militancy · progressivism · social democracy · labourism · Marxism · Leninism · Marxism–Leninism · neo-Marxism · Trotskyism · Maoism
antonyms:
conservatism

policy or practice based on the political and economic theory of socialism.

synonyms:
leftism · Fabianism · syndicalism · consumer socialism · utopian socialism · welfarism · communism · Bolshevism · radicalism · militancy · progressivism · social democracy · labourism · Marxism · Leninism · Marxism–Leninism · neo-Marxism · Trotskyism · Maoism
antonyms:
conservatism

(in Marxist theory) a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of Communism.

Hmmm, the two groups of synonyms and antonyms are identical; only ideological “conservatives” would present “conservatism” as the opposite of socialism - a purely partisan abrogation. The ‘synonyms’ aren’t, really, more political jabbing under color of scholarship. More accurate to say, “things “conservatives” conflate with ‘socialism’.

I’m sure you just grabbed a definition at random, actually odd to find it slanted - as ‘socialism’ came into being as a critique of and reaction to *capitalism*, for example, and not as a set of ivory-tower notions like the “Austrian school” of feudal economics.

More detail: “overthrow of capitalism and the realization of communism” is US cold-war political boilerplate, another example of saying a thing not making it true. “Socialism” does not envision, or seek, the *overthrow* of capitalism, never did. The Marxian analysis of capitalism predicted that capitalism would be crushed by its own flaws and failures. - and that analysis is actually holding up pretty well.

Re: “communism”. IMO Marx should have never tried to make it political - reality made it political on its own. The analysis of capital and its shortcomings can and should stand on its own, and it doesn’t lend itself to thought-bites and bumper-sticker equations. The world would be a better place if “The Communist Manifesto” had never been written, if the warnings about the ubiquitous overreach of capitalism had been taken seriously, if we’d listened to the founders about the dangers of concentrated wealth, about unrestrained capital...which he described practically in real time.

Thanks for letting me jump off from your posting...dueling dictionaries, it’s a thing
