Denmark and all of the Western European countries have many different parties that range from far left to far right. Socialists are just one of the many. They rarely win any elections and if they do they are powerless without support. There was a day when the governments did own some businesses like airlines ( British Airways, Aer Lingus, KLM, Air France, Sabena, Austrian, Swiss Air, Lufthansa, TAP, Iberia, Alitalia, SAS), but that's all over with and particularly with the EU rule changes forced these companies to be divested. Even when these countries were further left than they are now they were not socialist countries nor are they now.
