I'm going to cultivate outdoors, I don't know if it was the best choice
what is its external yield?

Dude, you sure you want to put your exact coordinates out in the open?

Thanks for your support @Knop Pure Thais easily adapt to humid lowland subtropical locations. Plant them in a very sunny location. Pure Thai yields can be good when plants grow enough big, and flower with lots of light intensity and constant warm temps.

Hi H e d g e such pure tropical sativas have very faint smell during their whole cycle, especially when compared with modern indoor indica hybrids with Skunk or Kush genetics.

Thanks, this is what I suspected. I was hoping there might be some early indications from a stem rub but it seems I’m gonna need a bigger boat.
I’ve had some good results triggering terps early using an essential oil diffuser, they seem to recognise it as a warning of adverse conditions from other plants and boost their own terpene production in anticipation. It helps with selection if you have an idea what you’re looking for but don’t have the space to flower them all.

dont you think you just made the Smells appear stronger? because if your essential oil remained in the Location, it may have reinforced the fainth smells from the Sativas.
In perfumery certain Semlls (wood extracts ) are used to reinforce faint flower extracts..

@romanoweed The stems are noticeably stronger smelling for quite a while afterwards and the filter clears the air pretty quick so I don’t think it’s the combination but somehow it does increase the smell.
It’d be interesting to do a side by side with clones close to harvest and lab test the levels.
I’ll stick one in a pot for now and if I can get an idea which pheno it is while it’s small enough using the diffuser then I’ll plant the others, 10 chiang mai in a 60cm cube should be interesting.

Alright!!! Finally something worth contributing in the Thai thread.

I started 10 Double chocolate thai (Drawohs Chocolate thai x Old heirloom chocolate thai) From SnowHigh at least a couple of months ago, of those only 6 broke surface, and around 6 weeks later it appeared i had nothing but males.

So i started the whole pack of Ace Thai to at least not have the males go to waste. As of tonight i have one verified Ace Thai female (bottom right) and one verified male (back right). Im not planning on keeping the male, but i wont make that decision final today.
Also in pic bottom left is Hazemans Chocolate thai f4 that i was going to cross the males with, may as still do that.... or maybe use the Ace male... hmmmm... decisions decisions

As i was going to check and water the chocolate Thai males, i see a little white hair sticking up out of the left front plant! So thats pretty awesome, ill get to run the females side by side and have a nice selection of thai seeds in the stash, and most likely in a future run make some fems with the two. I'm thinking a 10 week female to show sex should be a really nice one. The two males look nice and strong, there is two other males bent over in each that will get removed when i walk back in there with shears.

How are going your indoor Thai endeavours Keif Cake ?

I almost took a pic of the Double Chocolate Thai and Ace Thai last night, ill be sure to do that tonight. I put them both in flower recently, maybe a week ago now, with a couple of less vigorous Ace Thai that appear to be female still in the veg tent. The two still in veg may have a while until they find their way into flower with the starting of 9 more seeds the day before yesterday, but i may put those two females into a single pot and flower them pretty soon, or else ill be trying to keep some vegging plants alive and healthy for months to come.

That Drawohs choc Thai really got me interested
Do you have any prior grows of that one? Reading descriptions helps but I really learn from the insights of others (yeah cribbing again)
That one seems to be special if you can find it

Looking 👍

The only previous experience i have with Drawohs Chocolate Thai is the Drawohs Chocolate Thai F4 from Hazeman seeds, which has some indica influence in it, of the 7 seeds i started only one looked sativa and thai like, i still havent smoked it yet, it has been in the jar for a little while now, waiting on it to get to a good point for smoking, but im likely not going to keep it around since i have a Chocolate thai female and a few males. I may do one more run with the female to pollinate it with some of the Double Chocolate Thai males, but I'm not really sure i feel like doing all of that, because i have been pretty let down on the F4 as soon as i saw it had indica mixed in.

The Double Chocolate Thai males i will post later since I'm at work, one is lanky with a very open structure, while another one is more branchy and leafy, and from judging the F4 from Hazemans im guessing the leafier branchier one is Drawohs, but i dont have a clue i havent ever seen any pics of Drawohs thai, like you Ive heard really good things about that one, and from the research i was doing trying to find out info from Hazemans F4, is that there is a high occurrence of males in the line because he had 10 Drawohs choc thai seeds and all were males in what i was reading, which in my experience with double chocolate thai i only got one female out of 6 of 10 seeds that germinated.

Edit: the F4 i pollinated with reversed honduras pollen, and i am very likely to see what is in those

So it’s part of a trend……
Gotta grow 10,000 plants to get a legend…..
Buy the seed, take the ride

Thats basically what it sounds like to me, and i believe all the rave reviews are from people less inclined to love pure sativas the way that we do, especially when it comes to flowering time.

If it were me, i would have chosen a sativa to mix in with it. I wish everyone was as open and honest about their offerings as Ace is, i wouldnt have even taken the ride of the F4 if i had known it contained The White or whatever flavorless indica they chose to create their Drawohs F4, very miseleading in my opinion without stating it had indica in it.

Hardest part of the journey for me is being patient about seed buying (over 20 strains later….)
You’re doing great cause you’re actually growing all the time. I hear ya about seeds that aren’t what you’d like. I will eventually have two proper storage units for beans; keepers and donors.

I perused the ICMag server fund offerings somewhere yesterday. One man’s floor is another man’s ceiling…..🗣️

I hope you dont mind, I am really curious about what kind of strategy you would suggest to grow your thai indoors?

I have so far sexed 7 girls and 4 boys. All boys are on soil. Very happy with these numbers so far. Is this what is expected, about 1/3 boys and 2/3 girls or it is just random numbers?
These ones are still sexing, they are in 1,3 lt pots and 2 lt pots. The 500ml beer can is for pot size reference
All plants over 2 mt tall, tallest on 2 lt pot are 2,5 mt tall
Thai ACE sexing.jpeg

On right 2 plants sexing on 1,3 lt pots and left is a girl in 20 lt pot
Thai ACE sexing (2).jpeg

This Thai girl is reaching 3 mts in 20 lt pot
Thai ACE (4).jpeg

This is the lower leaf of the plant above ^^^

These are a couple of Thaidelica survivors
This is the 4 mt tall pheno
Thaidelica 4mt pheno.jpeg

This is the Thaidelica 3,5 mt tall pheno still stretching in a 20 lt pot. I think is a small pot for this variety and if not for ercole pots, these plants would be rootbound too fast
Thaidelica 4mt pheno 20lt pot.jpeg

How do you grow your Thai indoors??? In 5 mt tall rooms?
This is the most vigorous seed line I ever grew so far, outdoors is challenging, I hate topping and it is almost impossible to keep below 3 mts tall.... I dont imagine how you can keep this line happy indoors
I am very very curious about this Thai, looks very promising and real. It is different from the other Thai line I have from Northern Thailand which has wider leaf than yours and similar grow features. Indoors Northern Thailand 2008 is 100% intersex. Outdoors this season I will know

Have a nice day

I know that all too well, i have plenty of seeds ive purchased that need to be ran, ive ordered so many i havent gotten to, that ive ordered C5 haze x Kali China a second time without realizing i already had it a few months back. I'm trying to run through enough numbers to find some really great ones worth keeping around, and that is always a moving target, what is a spectacular find today may not be worth keeping around comparatively down the road.

Very true on one mans floor being anothers ceiling
