Excellent flower development for pure Thai being grown indoors @sativaman514 (y) dense and big sized flowers, not easy to achieve indoors with this kind of unhybridized tropical sativa genetics. Some pigmentation may appear in some individuals with cold temps and strong temp variations.

Glad to hear the lemon scents are mesmerizing :D If you are a fan of complex and refined lemony terpene profiles then i would highly recommend you to try one day Panama line and Panama Goddess offspring.

This is the end of the Thai grow. Five months from seeds, really I was ready to go an other full month. But both plants started to die slowly in the past weeks. At chop day, all fan leaves on the top half were falling dried and sugar leaves turned pale yellow. Stems and trunk turned lime green except for the upper branches on pheno2 that turned full red.

Growing this true unhybridized landrace was fun, and results are promising. The real fun begins at flower onset, until mid flowering. You will feel the challenge and it will put your grow skills to the test. Thai seems to fit in a regular 4x4 tent, but those who have the one with an extension like GGT would really benefit the extar height. I would really suggest to grow from small and sexually mature clones to finish plants as short as possible. This run really had me enjoy all the work done by breeders to make the modern cannabis an easy to grow plant.

Growing Thai indoor, I would recommend to avoid all N sources, beside worm castings. Keep your Thai in the smallest container possible. Flipping to early does not have effects forcing flowering if plants are not mature. Sativaman suggest growing your plants under 18-6 with wind stress (from seeds) for the first 6-7 weeks, than flip 11-13 for first month, than reduce to 9.5-14.5 was the key factor to stop stretching. After mid-flowering has passed, raising slowly daylenght back to 11-13 will help yield and proper maturation.

Thai Chiang Mai is very sexually stable. At the end of cycle, one branch that bended under it's weight pushed some bananas. One small sub branch for 2 giant 6 footers hermying is very nice. Genetic diversity seems great with these 2 very different phenotypes.

Last pic on the tent before drying =)

I was asked how was the smoke... Sativa is a lifestyle man. And this Thai is just perfect. Smoke is smooth and relax, still provides a warm feeling, you can probably smoke this all day long. It expands the mind, provides some energy and relaxation.

Pheno 1

This is the Lemon-Lime smelling plant. At chop day, her smell had evolved loosing some of the brightness I loved so much for some kerosen - paint thinner background. She smells toxic and lovely. Her structure was the best ever. At flip, she got topped to grow 4 mains. She stayed very columnar producind the longest, juiciest colas I have ever grown.

Harvest time reveals her beauty, has she stayed in the back of the tent the whole time. She is massive but elegant. Resin production is better than her sis, but flowers are less compact.

This one have a sweet, flowery smell, with some vanilla and bublegum background. At ripenning, she started to show some pink hues on the top. At chop day, her stems had turned red and all the half top plants shows some nice pink-purple calyxes. She grew in masses of buds that I tought it was not possible for a non-hybrid plant. Very impressive structure. Before flip she stayed small, but at sexual maturity she really started to stretch. Plant was supercroped multiple times.

I have an old 2008 camera. It is very hard to capture the regal of these plants.

Hi dubi,
I'm wondering if you could comment on the effects and flower times of the three distinct terpene chemotypes in this line. I'm particularly interested in the Strawberry type, but only willing to go on a pheno hunt if the effects are likely to be up my alley. Any suggestions for shorter flowering strains (Ace or otherwise) to breed to it without modifying the terpene profile and effects too much. I've got Nepal Mist and Kali China, Tikal and Panama seem like reasonable candidates also, but I haven't had a strawberry pheno come up in either.
Cheers

2008 camera allows you to describe better what you received for your care and effort. Your descriptions are unique and more than adequate. Very happy for your harvest.

From my perspective, and staying conservative,
The lemon-lime pheno (plant 1) is somehow electric with no celling. Depending on your tolerence and time of the day you sample it, and with a generous quantity, it have the potential to bring you psychadelic effects similar to Zamaldelica (cat piss pheno).
The floral sweet line (plant 2) brings you warmth, a *feeling good* effect, with warm in the forhead area. Similar to low dose MDMA, the closests I know from ACE would be Kali China elite line. My brother haven't smoked for decades because of intense paranoia effects. He thrusted me enought to try this one and loved it. I have 21 strains in my pantry.
I wish I could comment on the strawberry pheno. Happy hunting! You will find some friends=)

Each female has its own character @Boss Cocky although in average the woody-lemony expressions are usually very electric-energetic physically, of very bright, clear headed, uplifting effects without ceiling. The sweet perfumy, musky ones usually have more balanced effects, still very cerebral, but with more body effects. The strawberry ones are more rare and tend to produce very happy, smiley effects.

We already have bred and released Thai x Kali China (Thai Chi) and Thai x Panama. The best candidate to keep the Thai effects and pure sativa effects among the other lines you have would be Nepal Mist, that would be a really good cross for outdoor growing in subtropical and tropical climates. And if you manage to find and breed together strawberry Tikal and Thai Chiang Mai strawberry pheno and produce really nice strawberry offspring from then i'm sold ;)
