TGA Genetics- Concerning Potency...

great weed has both

Very true, God Bud is insanely flavorful and give a very stupifying and 3rd person high that lasts typically 3 hours even for vet smokers.

Breeding for taste is the hardest in my opinion the high can be bred in later.

I disagree, in my extremely limited experience chucking pollen all the females found have smelt and tasted loud af, only a few of them had the kick I was hoping for, I think if you have a well tested stud and elite females then flavor is likely gonna be a winner, I think lately the gene pool has been watered down towards tasty strains with little high, ie purples and all the fruity and lemony bullshit that's everywhere, I think traditional flavors and potency are not so prevalent with modern seed companies

i have thrown away plants better than most will ever see because of plant count restrictions and isolation.
one of my variety is caramel which is a cross of chem91 and butterscotch.
having a hard time taking this seriously. subcool has potent tasty variety. he is just a lying hack.
my caramel is badass.
candy store of pheno ranging from creamy caramel/butterscotch, grapes, citrus lemon/lime/oranges/grapefruit, burnt rubber, salty meat.....
if you grow a seed i made youll more than likely find a keeper that rivals anything out there.
caramel is just my main variety, i have a few lines.
i'm sure there are people here thatve tried my gear, subfool has.
ToB made off with 200 butterscotch f3 of mine with not even a thank you.
she was an original green avenger.

My experience with TGA is almost the complete opposite, speaking from the perspective of someone who works at a dispensary and gets to try and compare a lot of TGA strains with other strains.

I think Jilly Bean fits the bill of those tasty/attractive terpenes with a mild effect but otherwise most other TGA I see come through is the opposite. Space Dawg, Pennywise, Timewreck and Dr Who all had a very forgettable/mild pallet but were above average to fairly strong in the potency department. The Pennywise was a high THC/low CBD pheno and had one of the best heads(if not the best IMO) on the shelf but no one was buying it because it had no bad appeal. Other stuff was fairly pungent though like The Flav which had a narley pukey/baby shit smell and a pretty nice indica stone or some outdoor Agent Orange that smelled and tasted like orange soda and had a super strong uplifting buzz. I'm testing the Dr Who as I type and its pretty damn spacey and uplifting as well but very little distinct flavor or smell. I guess some could blame the lack of flavor/smell on the grower but when the same grower brings in OG strains that are extremely pungent in comparison I highly doubt grow technique is the issue. I rarely am disappointed in the kick TGA strains give me and think they can hit me just as hard as a lot of OG's that people love. With that said I still would much rather grow out strains from other breeders as I feel there is much better choices out there.

I will also say I've smoked several samples of Subcool's personal home grown weed and none of them stood out too much in the flavor or potency department. My Cherry Pie runs circles around anything I've tried from him.:yummy:

PWF, good to see you around, brother. I miss you at the Stinky.

I've always wanted to run Caramel (or Chem91 bx). I did get a pack but I gave them to a friend as a welcome home gift for getting out of jail and passing Go

what the fuck are you talking about?
i have never done a back cross in my life.
back crosses are lazy bottlenecking practices.
i do not know anything about what youre talking about.
i doubt you know me.

wow, no need to be nasty and yes I do know you and I do know a lot of people don't miss your attitude, as you just demonstrated.

Perhaps you don't remember talking to me in the past about the person who released your Caramel F1 Bx'ed to the '91 cut you gave him as well?

Wanna apologize for your outburst?

If nowhere (I'm assuming by the silence) then I guess those Chem '91 Bx aren't a bad option. Chem 91 x (Chem 91 x Caramel)

Where you're at the top of the game the haters will always come out of the wood work. Jealousy is a powerful thing. Subcool's genetics have put a lot of very nice seed banks on the map and many breeders use his genetics. BOG's Sour Bubble, his flagship line is a pheno from TGA. Same with AlphaKronic's flagship line - Snowdawg and many others. The proof is in the pudding and TGA is the real deal, like it or not. As a matter of fact, many of these smaller "elite boutique" breeders work with and have TGA's genetics infused all throughout their line.

Ummmm....not dissing Tga...its just that bog's sour bubble is based on whitelable bubbblegum from sensi seeds from like 2001 i ran the same stuff when he was making it back then. nothing to do with subcool's gear btw. Although I have considered many of tga's stuff just never had room....like to try vortex though or apollo 13bx.

Mickey kush fucking rocks outdoor at 45 lat but 3D and Qrazy train wasted my time big time. Seriously let down.....wtf subcool? Qrazy train ain't even worth the water or soil.

Again though, love the mickey. Grew a bunch of mickey kush x Casey Jones this year....amazing to say the least. The jack the ripper pheno is so damn loud!!

i was surprised to hear mr soul(brothers grimm) speak so highly/fondly of subcool. he seems like such a drop kick when i,ve seen subpars video,s .

Hey all,

Quick question. Why is it that TGAs gear just does not do it in the potency department for me and a lot of people I know? I've personally grown vortex, JTR, Jesus OG, time wreck and a couple others that allude me at the moment. The dude has his terpenes down. His flavors are amazing. Even the Jesus OG was lackluster at best. Its a complete shame because I really dig his gear. I always give it another shot but after this Jesus og run I might have to call it quits on TGA for good.

Well I have some Pandora box hopefully that stuff can get me blasted. I'm pretty stoked haha another discontinued variety.

Well I'm not deterred I'm still interested in chernobyl and a few of his lines. Jc2 looks pretty cool

Yeah, the qrazy train got huge and so did the buds but they were fluffy and full of bud rot.....the worst. Was frosty though. Also its claimed on their descriptions that qrazy train and 3d are suppose to be fast flowering outdoor varieties...but they didn't start to flower until august 25th and 29th....wtf

I was expecting something about as good as mickey kush but not even close. Mickey will actually start to flower towards the beginning of august at 45lat.

The other thing that bothered me is that I bought a 10 pack of mickey kush and got 8 males, one no germ, and one female that wasn't the jack the ripper pheno....good thing I had seeds crossed with the jtr pheno!

If u can find the right phenos from tga u will be stoked :)
