TGA Genetics- Concerning Potency...

Yea I think that TGA gets most of there customers that are newbie ta tha seen and see all these great flavors and pictures of these seeds that they supposedly hold but outta the around 50 I popped all diff strains I found 0 keepers!!!it's really just a waste of time and space ta fuck with there genetics!!I even called subcool out on ig about some of the strains that I had grown and ask for an explanation as to why I get all these hermie/Autoflowering plants,I understand that alot of time environment plays key rolls in hermaphrodite plants,but when every other plant in the garden is fire with no problems it comes down to genetics!!! And by the way I never got a reply about my herm/autoflowering questions..it's no wonder why the names change from tga ta Hero's of the farm ta whatever else they can come up with ta put more $ in there pockets!! I've never even seen any f2s or anything come from them!!! If your looking for potent,dank,fire genetics please look somewhere other than TGA!! Go grab some those Greenhand genetics that have actually been worked bet you find some fire up in those!!!
A lot of folks praise Bodhi but is he not doing pretty much the same thing as these folks? Full disclosure here, I grew a pack of Bodhi's stuff and I liked it and so did my patients. But there was polyhybrid variation and one of the plants threw male flowers down low (not really an issue in my book). Maybe Sub's persona is his issue and not necessarily his practices?
After all these years of seeing this continuing drama, I wanted to chime in my 2 cents worth- I have grown out 4 10 packs of older TGA stock (2 x Resin Mix, JTR, and Space Queen) These were from Heavens Stairway, way back. To this day I continue to grow some of my crosses from these seeds! Tasty, yes! Potent, yes! Fast blooming, yes! Why beat up on Subcool? Why bash on Ms. Jill? I got some great plants from their efforts, and though I have grown many many other seeds and varieties since then, I can say that they provided me with some great genetics and a few 'keepers', including a luscious cherry flavor that I was lucky enough to find a saliva phono of. I'm glad Subcool has stayed in business this long. He talked the talk and walked the walk, he loves good pot, and has spread the seed far and wide. Good job Subcool!

I've run TGA's Jillybean and Agent Orange. One pheno of Jillybean tasted like pink lemonade, and had decent potency, the others tasted good but little effect. The Agent Orange stole the show for yield and potency. The flavor was orange not really sweet, more like an orange rind, but the potency made me grin and laugh, really got up in my dome. I've heard about people getting really sweet orange ones or ones that taste like orange julius, I'd like to find one of those. I've smoked a little Chernobyl grown by a friend the other day and it was potent but the flavor was blah. He grew it in coco, I wonder if that makes any difference ?

Its a matter of perspective I guess. I take it for what its worth. What ive heard sub n jill talk about they try n do. They are mixing elite cuts of their favorite flavors to their male plant to spread out the flavors they like in seed form. they aren't really talking up being a long time superior scientific breeders. We as customers have to do research to see what a company does, n if we want to buy their product. I like great unique flavors in herbs, so I value the opportunity to easily find it cause this crew has done a good job with their marketing n got lots of stuff out there.
I ran a Chernobyl cut that was good quality n tasted of pine n lime. Pretty nice, a lot like their description. Only reason I gave it up was the pheno I had thru thumb size buds max.
I have a awesome cut that I cherish still, that I suspect is from plushberry or jellybean, idk... but is special to me for its flavor n type of effect.
I ran their marionberry, n it was bomb.
Got a free pack of space candy n got a pheno I kept of great fruity cotton candy flavor that's loaded with trichs.
I find keepers in their stuff, n I have elite keepers to compare to. Sour D, death star, og kush, purple kush, bubba, pearl, blueberry, g13, ... ive ran a good 60 plus elite cuts.
I think there is keepers in any cross that had good genetics to start. Now the rate of keepers, n stability, are what make breeders that use science n hard work, n experience, to make the difference between a cross n a strain.
that's how i look at it. After doing some research these last couple years on breeding, n doing my own seed popping, polenating, crossing, and testing. Its not a fast process, nor easy. But its sure fun doing the work n testing! And id recommend everybody that loves the plant to experiment for themselves at some point, and select what they want for themselves.

First experience with TGA was Dairy Queen, 10 pack 6 females All could have been keepers. The one I kept and ran with had a super loud cheesy smell and taste yeiled extremely well and finished in 7 weeks. The others all had that common lemony TGA terp...They were pretty uniform except for the one I kept. lol Mz Jill didn't even mention that one :lol:

Honestly if you buy any REAL OLD SCHOOL BREEDER gear you will get variable results just like TGA. Mr. Nice even advertises in his G13xWidow IBL that there will be LOADS of phenos and finding that 1 in a 1000 will be your reward!!!!!!! IN a freaking IBL none the less..

There are people that religiously only grow MR Nice seeds because of who he is and the breeders that he works with ( shanti and Neville).

ALmost forgot to mention the wasted packs of DJ gear, from too many mutant variegated phenos to just mediocre pot.
Seriously, several packs were needed to find that special VELVETTY BLUEBERRY PANCAKE couchlock pheno in 2007. She Was found but took a few tries more than we had liked for $120+ packs of beans.

He does do a lot of crossing with his space queen and other originals, A lot of his offerings are limited release, however the strains that sell good and subsequently make it to another round of breeding would be the ones to buy IMO.
Although his marketing is good I wouldn't think he'd still be around in full force if his strains were complete bunk.

I agree and I personally never said that you can't find fire in TGA gear,I myself have never found a keeper in TGA gear outta the 50 -60 seeds I have ran, you pollinate a female with a Badass studs gizz and your there's gonna be some fire in there!!! Guarantee!!! But as I said before its about stability as well Pheno hunting is time consuming,space consuming,money consuming and if I'm gonna Pheno hunt I want genetics that's not gonna throw balls out every which way,I understand that it happens it happens with almost all breeders here and there but when you have ran multiple pack from a breeder and continue to get the same thing well it's time to move on, like I said I got an autoflowering marionberrykush that would flower under 24he light!! How the hell does that happen..I'll tell you how by paying someone else to breed your seeds in there grow!! Is there fire in TGA sure but how many beans you gotta go through to find one that doesn't hermie,doesn't autoflower,and is a keeper.. when I Pheno hunt I want to find my keeper and not have to worry bout all the other issues that's gonna fuck my current grow!!!srry for the rant!! But come on!!! And I'll bite TGA isn't the only one you have to worry bout these days with that why you think there's so many seed companies popping up!!! TGA have fire sure does finding it isn't the easiest!!!

last year I did Vortex. very nice surprise in my box.
beautiful sativa with many resin and very good yeld.
good smell like limonade for own phéno and for the second more tangerine, very strong smell and taste.
I think, this is one of my favorites strains...

I had some 3rd dimension that had been selected from a 60 seed run and i was really great stuff.great day time smoke with sudo trippyness; color change and light intensity Id buy a # of the same stuff right now. Just glad i didn't have to smoke all the females in that run cause some were reported as dam near hemp. But the one cut was a gem.
So not sure but I think this guy means TGA is the BOMB! Got some chernobyl and qzytrain and vortex crosses from a bro recently gonna put out sooner or later. The Agent Orange PHO i tried was Fabuloso at 84%!

It was funny when a bunch of jillybean flooded the market here last year. It tasted so good and it sold like hotcakes at first but a week or two later people had a hard time getting rid of it even after droppin the price. It just didn't do anything no matter how much you smoked.

I also have friends growing a bunch of TGA genetics (I'm too cheap to order new seeds) and they look impressive and the taste and high is there.
is it just me or do all orange-flavored strains have fairly weak high? All the ones I've tried and bought that were orange do not have strong buzz. I think my friend has an Agent orange clone, I want to try it.

You should try kosher tangie. It has the refreshing tangie taste with a hint of kush. SUPER POTENT. Definitely in my top 5 list.

I Grew out a small cheese quake indoor and quality was above average . i did not care for how lanky and all over the place its growth was and nod spacing was far apart even with plenty of light . it also tripled in size when fliped to 12.75 on and 11.25 off.
Seems do be better suted for out door .
