Sometimes we are looking for fertilizers what we should be looking for in strains..peace out Headband707
Why are you even here? You come in on your first post talking shit (hippie organic freaks) and then start throwing shit around and saying after doing so that "you aren't trying to stir the pot" WTF? And then come off as some kind of authority figure warning people that the thread is in need of being shut down.
This is the organic soil forum, most of us here don't support environmental BS and chemical usage...Isn't there a "chemi guy" section on IC somewhere? Not many folks (if any at all) doing organics look at a chemi guy as a mentor. Really though, what's the point in getting all bent trying to get your point across to people that don't agree with what you say? It's kinda agro dude. Did you even read the whole thread? looks to me like you just like to argue...and you're still talking shit......shut 'er down.
Actually we are here to discuss the environmental impact of harvesting guano, specifically bat guano from Jamaica.we're not here to discuss hydro, organics or anything but the dangers and health risks of using guano
Did you read the thread? I did. I'm not the one being a pompous ass. I made some fun, in good spirit. you are attacking me because you don't like to hear that anything you do is unhealthy, dangerous, environmentally wrong, and you don't seem to care about the alternatives. if you can't keep on topic and want to turn this into an organics vs salts thread, there is already plenty of them out there. please find one. enjoy. we're not here to discuss hydro, organics or anything but the dangers and health risks of using guanos. It seems you are much more "bent" over than I, as you can't stop. have a wonderful day
holy batshit!
Yes, sometimes and no.Does real organic gardening smell or attract bugs?
Yes..it has all kinds of smells depending on what you use. Guano for example doesn't really smell when mixed in the soil. Fish hydrolysate, crab meal, fish bone meal, kelp meal all smells pretty much like the ocean. Compost isn't really stinky as you might think. EWC smells like dirt. Some good ACT teas smell more food like when they are in the right range for use.Does real organic gardening smell or attract bugs?
.....I'm pulling myself out of your fine conversation. ....
i think what it is, is that some chem growers cant deal with the fact that organic growing IS kinder to the planet than their chosen method - not perfect by any means but head and shoulders above the rest. so they hang around and try to jump on anything negative that they can find in order to make themselves feel better about it.
and posting irrelevant info about organic chemicals (ironically manufactured for chem gardening) doesnt help either - just serves to show that they dont get it.
to all those guilty as charged, this is me waving down at you from the moral high-ground
VG
It seems to me that the majority (not all) chem growers are growing that way for two reasons. The first is unintentional and the second is very intentional.
1. Upon making their decision to become self-sufficient they realized they know NOTHING about botany so they mosey on down to the local hydro store and ask a ton of questions about 'tomato growing'. The store proprietor then sells them a bunch of chemical products and this is how they define growing. (Like myself, until I started looking outside wondering why the hell the tree's don't yellow when I'm not feeding them - answer organics)
2. Massive hydro yields for selling purposes.
So, if you are an unintentional chemical grower who wants to really be able to put his/her heart into their work and get great tasting herb (and yes it can be A LOT of labor) then take up organic growing. Ask questions, read books (Teaming with Microbes) and learn. Or be stuck in your ways defending yourself just because you cannot admit you were wrong.
If you're in the second example. F*** *** for giving the rest of us a bad name.
this is an interesting thread I was thinking of taking a trip to a cave where mexican bats migrate & seeing if I cant just grab some guano droppings off the cave floor wich is easily accessable by a tunnel. It would be well worth it im sure
thanks guys, its probabely not a good idea! lol, not without a badass gasmaskCavers in Mexico may easily breathe in the invisible spores of the fungus Histoplasma capsulatum, resulting in symptoms that can range from a bad cough to death.
