First noticed it in some Youtube show where a bunch of guys were sitting around talking, one of them in shorts, and I was like wtf dude shaves his legs. Had never even though of the whole thing but with a video shot in a way where half of the screen was dedicated to their legs.. there it was, impossible to ignore. And once becoming aware of the phenomenon I've paid more attention to it, and it seems like everyone shaves their legs. Except some of the women. And me. But I will take your advice and not do it, but less as a statement of masculinity, and more because, well, can't be arsed...where do you meet these folk? the blue oyster ? haha

I'm aware of the stereotype but not sure where it comes from. Actually one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen was a French girl from the HR department of a company I used to work for. And like beautiful in a hyper-feminine way. Probably it's some WW1 era safety razors common in America but not yet in France left doughboys on leave unimpressed origin myth. Those women are from France.

Now that you mention it. Not with the legs but the beard.. Aftershave! It's mainly alcohol, dries things up instead of moisturizing? But it kills bacteria. So is it smart, or is it not. And most of them smell terrible. But maybe the smell is attractive to women, probably not though.if you feel like shaving your legs. go for it . don't let my opinion sway you . make sure you moisturise them afterwards though
