In primary school you have to start with one litre and two litres in secondary school.

My cousin up there got on facebook and ranted about the state banning access to his porn sites.

If a guy outside lewistown goes berserk you know what happened 😜
Only websites banned here now are cp related.
Come jan. 1 thanks to a democrat some porn sites will be banned.
Personally don't consume the product in any format so could give a shit myself.
😆

Well DaEarl,

I'll bite!

It's horses for courses, depends on you environment.

You are correct. I run hids because with leds the extra heating would be too expensive for me.

If you live in a cold environment like the UK and can choose between 300W light with or without radiant heat the one that provides some radiant heat may be better during winter months, unless you want to spend the extra $$$ on heating while the lights are on in addition to when the lights are off where a heater is needed irrespective of led or hid choice.

In the UK during winter, if you grow outside of your heated living space, you must still maintain a certain temperature range for healthy plant growth as heat is essential to transpiration and nutrient uptake. if you fail to take these things into consideration yield and plant health become adversely affected.

It's bloody freezing here presently in the UK. If i was running my leds i'd be seeing all sorts of weird leaf browning and yellowing and slow growth from the NPK ratios going skewed unless i heated my tent/pots and monitored vpd constantly which is a ballache!

Phosphate uptake is drastically reduced with cold roots which is essential to flowering.

"Low soil temperatures reduce overall growth and tend to increase carbon allocation to roots because nutrient and water uptake are reduced (Lambers et al., 1995; Li et al., 1994). At low soil temperatures, shoot demand seems to control uptake and translocation of N, K and Ca, but not P (Engels et al., 1992). Phosphorus uptake is usually more depressed by low soil temperature than is the uptake of other nutrients (Bravo‐F and Uribe, 1981; Engels et al., 1992). This may be mainly due to reduced root growth because at low temperatures phosphate uptake is dominated by root production rather than by chemical nutrient availability in soil or by physiological uptake capacity (Mackay and Barber, 1984)."

hids simply work out cheaper and easier for me as i dont have to run heaters as much or look constantly at a vpd chart or use calmag  I get roots like a matt throughout the whole pot which means larger flower yields.

Of-course, If it is warm and you got your temperature sorted, vapour pressure deficit dialled in, and a massive bottle of calmag leds can be worth a go but at 300 to 2 grand for leds vs 150 for hps setup i know which i'll be using.
I dont need calmag Because of the leds, with coco i would though. Got your Point. Also After knowing where you want your Environment, you dont Need to Check a VPD Chart all the time, but it can help to have a clue. Not trying to teach anything to Nobody. Have a nice one!

Have a great one DaEarl.

I'd love to have the plants in every room in the house, packed to the rafters but the mrs doesn't share my junglist vision.

I love hearing about people's success with other growing methods to mine and I learn a lot from posts like you made. Thank you bro.
