@revegeta666 i should have known, since i left out most carbs and all sugars i dont get any munchies. i thought it was because of my low intake or strain dependent.
Yes, there is a direct correlation there and you can test it for yourself if one day you have a fatty steak with vegetables and olive oil for supper, the next day have a plate of rice or pasta or whatever, of similar caloric value. Then pay attention to your hunger level during the evening and compare.

Even fruit although healthy, if you eat a lot of it you will notice how you are a lot hungrier too, unless it's berries which are the lowest glycemic index fruits.

Eating fat along with carbs will reduce the insuline peaks somewhat and help keep its level more steady.

On top of that, if you get the munchies and eat carbs, including fruit, munchies will stay on indefinitely lol. Meanwhile try to stuff yourself on hard boiled eggs, tuna cans and mayonnaise next time you get the munchies.

It's a deep rabbit hole. Very interesting stuff.

If you check one of those low glycemic index food lists that diabetics use, you can experiment with foods that will have more or less influence on your hormone levels.

@Cloneman i salute you. credit where credit is due
Cheers shiva, i’m a youngster, I’m only 73. I’ve been trimming GMO today, it’s only 7° in the loft. Bloody freezing… this helps though
